"Then stay here." She ordered, firm and careful. She was used to caring for Nana, and even before her Tithe was the leader of a small group for a time, seeing as they were all wimps who backed out before giving the killing blow. Now? She just watched over Nana, the cutest little bundle of fur she had ever met. Yes yes, she was an adult now, but Tithe remembered her as a cute little kit.
"I'll be right back." With this she made sure he was comfortable, and headed off into the tree's. Damn straight she wanted to find the bird, but how would she find it? She probably wouldn't, but at least she could get her anger out.

Adonis nodded at her words, not exactly liable to run off in this state. He suppose he probably could move, but why bother? He was still quite hungry, and doubted he would be able to satisfy said hunger in a timely manner without Tithe's help. Well, it was more than just help, really, Adonis reasoned with himself as he watched Tithe wander away on her quest for food.
Suddenly left alone, lying on the clearing floor, Adonis allowed his eyes to wander until the rested on a lone, dark red flower not too far away. His slowly drifting mind was half-debating on whether to offer it to Tithe, perhaps in thanks for the game she was sure to return with, as Adonis finally fell in to a light nap.

Tithe returned with a rabbit and a bird, the bird for her while the plump rabbit was for Adonis. Carefully, she set them both down, noting that the male was asleep. He was...cute asleep, as cute as an annoying boy such as himself could be. Cute... She smirked slightly, shaking her head. She knew that he was not going to be up for awhile, so she nested on the ground.
He looked alone where he was, watching him as he slept. Maybe... she had always liked sleeping beside Nana, she was warm and soft. Perhaps she could.... 's**t, just do it.' With this, Tithe rose, approaching Adonis and moving beside him, settling down. Her head rested on her arms. Her side was against his, not cuddling, but touching. Hm... this wasn't to bad.

Adonis wasn't sure how long he had slept, but the moment any sense of consciousness returned to him, he noticed quite a change. It was warmer. More specifically, there was something warm right next to him. In this early stage of awareness, Adonis couldn't exactly fathom what it may have been. As more time passed, he grew more and more curious, until he finally decided to open his eyes.
It was considerably later in the afternoon now, but Adonis' eyes still needed to adjust to the light. Blinking until he was fully used to having his eyes open, Adonis looked down next to him for the strange source of warmth. "Tithe?" He said, slightly shocked. Perhaps it had crossed his mind that she would be there, but that didn't exactly prepare him for that.

"That's my name."
Tithe opened one glowing eye, looking at Adonis. She shifted, her modifications causing her to cause a metal sound as she stretched from where she was. "What?" She asked, noting his look. "Is this weird? Sorry." Her last word seemed slightly strained as she stood, leaving Adonis's side to collect the rabbit, nudging it to him.
"That should help build up your strength." She stated, going to her own bird and beginning to pick off the feathers, not a fan of them. Then again, who was?

"What? Oh, it wasn't..." Adonis muttered, unable to say much as Tithe moved away of her own accord. The rabbit was pushed towards him, and Adonis accepted it silently. He wasn't sure exactly what was going on in his mind. Still groggy from the nap, he expected. Adonis didn't want to spend too much time thinking about it, so he decided to eat without continuing.
Halfway through the bunny, Adonis glanced back up at her, his mouth still full. Despite not wanting to dwell on his feelings, Adonis hadn't been able to help it as his thoughts just inadvertently drifted to that particular topic. "It wasn't weird," he said abruptly. "I don't know, exactly, what it was. But it wasn't weird."
Adonis couldn't help feeling a bit dumb after saying that, but he wasn't sure what else to say. He just didn't want her to feel offended, he tried to reason to himself. Perhaps.

She had been about to rip into the now clean bird when he spoke, eyes glancing up to look at him. Wait, was he still dwelling on that? She had almost forgotten. Her glowing eyes blinked once, then twice at the boy. "What?" Okay, not the best response, but it was one at least. Finally, she sat up, shaking her head.
"I'm not going to get upset that easily. You know that. I'm a tough chick." She mused, guessing he was worried over upsetting her. She tore off a wing of the bird absently, preparing it. "Though, thanks. I'm not the best with words. I guess it wasn't weird for me either, but then again I was the one to sleep there." With this she finished the subject by crushing into her bird, tail flicking side to side, focused on the sound it was making.

Adonis just smiled and nodded thoughtfully in response. She was right after all, and he wasn't sure why he continued to think about it, anyways. He was determinted to stop all of that nonsense this instant, though, and immediately relaxed as he continued to eat the rabbit she had brought him.
It hadn't taken him long to finish; he been pretty hungry in the first place. Adonis waited, and slightly watched Tithe finish off her own meal. After a few moments of silence, he stretched his limbs and got to his feet. He was feeling much better now. The aching in most of his limbs had dulled to almost nothing. Now standing, Adonis shook the dirt out of his fur, longer than normal hair getting in his face from time to time. Blowing it away from his face with a loud exhale, Adonis commented, "It's moments like these that I kind of wish I had the means to cut this fur..."
[Couldn't we technically place them in the lifemating thread already?]

( Not until we reach four pages, no. )
She chuckled at his comment, shrugging and blowing her own longer, slightly curled hair out of her face. "Find a 'Daeva to burn it off." She commented, rolling both shoulders until they cracked. Though, Adonis looked fine the way he was, actually, he looked nice. Even she could appreciate an appealing fox. Casually, her tail flicked to the side, ramming her bracelet into a rock for amusement before shrugging, again.
"But if you cut your hair you'd look weird. Besides, I like how it is." With this she realized she barely even knew much about his personal life. Her eyes flicked over to his form, poking the ground with a nail.
"What was your childhood like, Adonis?"

Snorting with laughter, Adonis shook his head. "I think it'll wind up too short, if a 'Daeva comes anywhere near it," he responded. "Besides, you're probably right; I'm too used to my hair as it is. Good thing you already like it, then, because you're stuck with it now." Adonis pondered his own meaning behind these words for only a moment, before mentally shrugging. It didn't really matter what he meant.
The fox tilted his head slightly at Tithe's question. "It was good," he answered. "Average, I suppose. Good relationships with both my parents and my two siblings. My father was sometimes off with his tribe, though, but that was fine. He also has a large, sort of confusing family." Adonis shrugged. "I haven't really met all of them. Neither has my father, frankly."
Adonis sat silently, thinking a few moments before continuing. "We lived on and around one mountain, mostly. It was the one my parents met on, or rather inside. There's a system of caves that my mother knows like... the back of her paw. She's blind, so she doesn't exactly travel to unknown territories."

Her own amused chuckle followed his laughter, tilting her head. "Stuck?" She didn't comment further, instead looking over to the side. What could she say... she didn't even know what that meant. Perhaps he meant as in for the time being, seeing as they were spending the day together. It wouldn't help over-thinking it.
She turned over to listen to his story, nodding. "Then, a good home with a blind mother and a father that was good yet was sometimes not around." She repeated, confirming what she had heard.
She nodded, remembering her own child-hood and sighing softly, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth. "Siblings? Never heard of em'."

Adonis nodded as Tithe summarized the story of his life. "Yup, essentially my childhood in a nutshell." He said. "Ah, my siblings. I have a brother and a sister, Blaise and Eireonite. They both look more like my mother. I just get my hair from her." Adonis shook said hair away from his face again as he said this.
"What about you, Tithe?" Adonis asked after a few moments. "I mean, I know quite a bit about your adult life, gathered from you , Desmon and Nana, but what about before you met either of them? And as a kit?"

Tithe grumbled, ears flicking back against her forehead. "I never knew my mom, and never will. My dad raised me for a brief period, but when he met a tribe it didn't take long for him to dump me there." She shrugged, a bitter sigh escaping her.
"The tribe was a tribe of hitmen. They raised me to kill, and I did for shiny objects, including most of the accessories I am wearing right now. I was raised to kill for items, so it didn't seem selfish to me, or greedy. I grew up in this tribe. Then I met Nana and Desmon. Somehow, Nana influenced me to quit." With this, she looked over at him, shrugged, and laughed.
"I was fairly famous in my tribe for being one of the best hitmen, being a woman on top of that, and having a fiery tongue. Sometimes, I miss the people. Though not the job."

Adonis listened solemnly to Tithe's story. "Sounds like you gained quite the family," he said. "Though I'm sorry you never really got to know your original one."
Adonis slightly smiled at the thought of Nana, and how she was able to change both Tithe and Desmon so drastically. He had only met her briefly, yet seemed to already admire her as much as the other two seemed to. How had Nana done it? Adonis didn't really think he would ever know, but he guessed it didn't matter too much.
Adonis chuckled a little, wondering what this tribe was like. "I can picture that. You being the best of the best in this tribe, and all that. Though, i'm glad you've kicked the habit."

"Are you?" She cooed, humming softly. "Me too. It wasn't a fun life. I had friends, yes, and perhaps I did get shiny accessories, but sometimes I felt sick with the path I was put in." She looked over to the side towards the trees, tail flicking lazily back and forth.
"Either way, what is done is done. Now, I suppose you are glad because I won't kill you?" She grinned lightly at this. "Annoy me enough and I just may at least scar you." She remembered one of his earlier statements, shaking her head.
"I could care less about either of my parents. They left me and that means that I am no longer a part of their life. Therefor, why bother thinking of them?"
