"Some of us are still HUMAN Tanzanite, we cry occasionally. It's not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of humanity. I'd be more afraid of the day I can face what we just faced and -not- come out of it upset or crying."

Scheelite gratefully took the energy orb when it was offered and swallowed it. Starseeds were something he had eaten from time to time, and really the sensation was quite similar. The energy was enough to bring him back from the brink of unconsciousness, but not nearly enough to help heal his injuries. Still, he was grateful for every little bit he could get and he quickly gave thanks to the General Queen for gifting the orbs to them.

Tanzanite's words seemed to bring Serandite back to reality. But there was one inevitable fact. They had protected Elysion from the senshi for now.. but they had not claimed it for their Queen as she had wished.

"Our Queen wanted us to take Elysion. Not meet at a standstill with the senshi. We tied." The disgust in Serandite's tone was obvious, looking up towards the new visitor, her posture tense. Her thoughts were interrupted by the soft voice that belonged to General Queen Laurelite. Serandite took an offered orb, looking at it.

Down the hatch it went.

The energy slid into her mouth like eating a piece of candy. Most her was visibly covered by the color seemed to come back into her pale expression, the aches subsiding .. Serandite moved on to Zinkernite next, the usual hostility in her expression dsiappearing.".. Zink. It looks like your panda-ninja skills didn't come in handy for a leopard." She knelt by his side, her back turned towards the others.

Her abrupt sentence was a little surprising, hands on hip.

"Take it off."

.. She likely meant his clothes.

Alkaid took her energy orb and stared at it oddly for a few seconds, warring with herself over it momentarily. She decided, finally, that if a General-Queen was giving it to her then there was absolutely nothing to worry about. She was in the process of munching it down when she heard her name called and immediately began to look for the source.

"Oh, hmm," she walked over to the short captain and looked down at the boy crumpled in the floor. With her searing headache ebbing away, she felt like she could be of more help. Though, immediately, she recognized a flaw in the captain's suggestion. "I could, but the problem is that once she powered down, the splint would be gone, and she can't very well walk into a hospital like that."

She sighed and brought a hand up to rub at her temple, glancing around the room. "If I had a broom or a mop, we could break it and use that but.. do they even use those in this place?" She at least had yet to see one in all her exploration of her temporary home.

Zan was relieved that the General seemed to be okay with her presence. But the mild calm of sitting and recouping didn't last very long at all. Suddenly Tanzanite was standing, and Zan scrambled up with her, trying to help support her. She wasn't sure that she should be standing, but she wasn't going to tell the General that, especially when she was making speeches.

When the General-Queen came by Zan took her energy obediently, but instead of eating it she tried to to surreptitiously press the energy orb into Tanz's youma hand. The General needed it more than she did, all that was wrong with her was a broken nose.

And then Zinkenite was yelling at Tanzanite, breaking Zanazziite's calm. Turning on the Captain she glared at him, loosing her temper for the first time in a long time. "Didn't GAIN ANYTHING?! We are ALIVE, you are ALIVE! Look around, this room isn't nearly as full as it was. We GAINED by surviving. If you are going to complain about not completely wiping out the opposition in ONE battle, you can waste your breath. I on the other hand am going to train, and come back STRONGER TO WIPE THE SENSHI OUT!" Oh my Zanazziite, who replaced you with a girl with a spine? Not that her confidence lasted because once more people started throwing their opinions around, she shrunk back against the wall shaking. It wasn't obvious if she was shaking in anger, or delayed fear.

"Feel free to use the pole." She said, summoning it once more and offering it to Alkaid. removing the lantern off the end. "I wont be powering down any time soon here, lets just say i was caught showering when summoned here." Aka: if she powered down now she would be stark naked. She was prude enough to NOT want that.

She took the orb once offered to her, curiously eating it. She had not eaten anything like this before... so it was a welcome surprise once she felt her energy returning.

"I was ON the giant senshi ball actually..." he sighed at Fayalite, the worlds finally sinking in. He felt better for the energy...he hated to admit it but after he swallowed it it did...help...warming the chill that had seeped into his very bones when he wasn't 'looking'...even if it was just a little.

"Ah....ex...cuse me?" He blinked at Sera.
"... If that was supposed to be a come on...your hitting on the wrong Captain general." it was a joke... maybe not the best timing, maybe not the best place but sometimes that was what people did under pressure. Probably hysteria...

Schee was on some level right though, but they had still failed, not good enough.. never good enough...god help him. God help them all....

"...Can someone help me get this s**t off...." He asked finally, terrible to have to ask, but he didn't think he could lift his arms over his head without utter agony. "Cut it...tear it...I don't care... Just leave as much of me intact as you can...I think... I think some of the fabric is stuck in the burns."

Broken her...oh dear. There was no way to flip up Petalite's skirt and check underneath it without causing some sort of huge and terrible shame that would probably be reciprocated in lots of shower-time pictures being sent to Linarite's boyfriend and God only knew who else. So instead when Laurelite came around, two balls of precious energy reserve were pressed onto her cousin. "Here, take mine. You need it more than I do, it's mostly just missing hair and some scratches. We'll get you to the doctor as soon as we can get out of here but...we can't leave yet. Are you okay down here?" It was equally as quiet, so when Scheelite had his outburst in the direction of Tanzanite, her head swiveled.

Swiveled, stared incredulously, and the rave-loving Negaverser was incredibly lucky that Linarite was occupied at that moment. On a good day she would have slapped him for that comment. Right now she was simply looking for someone to kill and the fact that he had been on her team would not stop him from such a deadly insult to Tanzanite.

She knew how accusations about her humanity could hurt the proud general. It was not going to be pretty.

"Oh no. I'm hitting on the right captain." She turned towards Raite, her eyebrow raised in a silent message.

Go, Raite.

She wasn't stripping the captain. Obviously, this fellow captain would.

"Nursing everyone's morale is completely pointless when it shoves the problem under a rug, Lieutenant!" Uranophane all but snarled at Zanazziite, her back stiffening from where she was sitting. "You really think you can pass off a bit of survival as a victory, when there's no guarantee we'll be surviving for long?!"

Her entire body rippled, gloved hands balling into fists. "How about we look at the goddamned facts. The senshi have access to Elysion! We failed to drive them out, we failed to even make a dent in their defenses, and we failed to place any security detail whatsoever in Elysion! And you're really going to sit there and think they're not going to pull some other magic trick out of their sleeves?"

Turning to Zinkenite even as she was still ranting away, Uranophane assessed his situation for a moment before summoning her pen. She made light marks on his clothes that slowly but surely tore away at the fabric, grinding her teeth in frustration all the while.

The pieces that were puddle in black ooze by Tanzanite were a grim reminder of what he had witnessed. He felt his own need to throw up, but held it, as impossible as that seemed. She ate him. He tried not to think about him. Tore out his chest and devoured every bit. He stayed by Tanzanite's side, trying not to look at the visible bones and pieces of undigested flesh. Chewed him raw – one of her very own. He swallowed hard and looked back at her, and he just…..couldn't bring himself to make that connection

The tired, worn solider who had fought so bravely in battle for Earth, beaten and now looking as if she might close her eyes and just….leave him, would do that. He couldn't think about that now. Worry took the forefront and he welcomed it instead of the connection of disgust and hatred that he might otherwise let take hold.

When the hand touched his, conflicting feelings dissolved to a deep sense of worry for someone he deeply cared about, and his eyes misted at the fear she would be gone any minute. Her words, weak, crushed any idea of rushing madly to the nearest hospital, and whatever hope she could be right on her way to getting better. She said she was a youma, and he could see the evidence before him, but he would have ripped he arm off if it meant getting her to the hospital and living. Why was she being punished in life for having an arm that had aided her in the fight for Earth? She should have been given the luxury sweet at the best hospital for that.

He swallowed hard, trying to keep a brave face, and slowly nodded. Reaching down, he tore off his sashes, and worked on what he could. The open chunks too priority. He'd go find the others when he was done with her. Orders or not. He glanced at Serandite with a nod, knowing she was probably right.

Raite accepted Serandite's administrations quietly, unusual in itself. He normally would have refused her, despite their long time acquaintance. It was not because of her, but that he found it difficult to accept help. It was weak of him.

His silence in itself was the reflection of his feelings. It was only his right to bear these injuries, a painful reminder of his loss.

He meant to help Alkaid, but Laurelite's voice drew him back to the doorwar. Even she hadn't escaped unscathed .. Raite had wanted to help her. But in the end, he couldn't even help himself. He didn't consume the orb. He didn't need it. Raite refused to rely on anything other than himself. It wasn't that he had yet to consume a starseed but his refusal to do so. In it, was an admittance of defeat, to need something other than your own strength. And all he needed was his own strength.

"Our Queen." He repeated quietly after Tanzanite's biting remarks. He had to agree with Serandite, feeling similar feelings. "She won't be happy with this." They would suffer the repurcussions of her disappointment.

When Serandite uttered the last few words, Raite felt the urge to facepalm. "... Serandite." He.. He didn't even have the energy to talk to her about her unreasonable demands.

"Hell." He paused only by Alkaid's to pick up some bandages and medicine.

And he stepped over to help with Zinkenite as well, despite his obvious reluctance to do so.

“I would advise you to watch your tone, Captain” Tanzanite replied flatly, only her injuries and respect for the other officer keeping her from making a much more physical show of force. She leaned her head back against the wall, and closed her eyes for another long moment.

The breath she drew was shallow and shaky, a testament that the General was in no shape to do.. well. Anything.

“They will go back, and so will we. But pitying ourselves,” she focused a sharp glance at Zinkenite, but could not muster up the energy to keep it up for long. Her body swayed, until she was forced to grab hold on Zanazziite to keep from toppling over entirely, “Pitying ourselves does us no good. Doubting does no good. Stating our obvious ******** failure does-”

And then, she stopped.

She stopped, and every ounce of her attention was suddenly focused on Captain Scheelite. For a brief moment, the humanity he questioned showed upon her battered features. Her eyes showed something that only Linarite had ever seen in them before; hurt.

She hadn't chosen this. She hadn't been given a choice. She had woken up screaming and thrashing, Charonite's hand clamped over her mouth as the youma crawled into her body and melted into her soul. She had spent the past year slowly losing herself to the Negaverse, never once having a chance to say 'No.' Of course, that was a story she had never shared. How Tanzanite had become Tanzanite was a mystery to anyone save Queen Beryl and the two figures who rested eternally in the crystal coffin in another room.

Everyone else in the room might as well have vanished, save that single Captain. Whatever heart Tanzanite might have left, Scheelite might as well have put a blade right through it with that single statement. For a long moment, she simply stared at him, trying to force anger and sadness back down. It seemed like forever that she stared at him, silent, before she tore her gaze away.

“Lieutenant Zanazziite” she said quietly, resting the heavy black arm upon her shoulder. Try though she might, there was a sadness in Tanzanite's two-tone voice that she could not supress, “Do not yell at a Captain.” It was not anger that motivated the comment, but a respect for the way their organization worked that she could not let slide.

“If you would kindly help me up,” the black arm draped over Zanazziite's shoulders, the human one over Wolframite's, “I do not wish to be here any longer.”

When Mica reappeared back in the subspace, she had quietly walked to the edge of the group and examined her wounded comrades. This was a mess. Many needed to go to a hospital, but some couldn't - Tanzanite, as she pointed out, was part-Youma - and some shouldn't. How would such a large influx of injured youth be explained?

Mica took the energy orb from the General Quuen, but she didn't immediately consume it. Compared to some, she was hardly injured; a bruised back and cut cheek, that was all. Clenching the orb in her first, Mica didn't bother to try to talk over the shouting, instead sizing up the supplies that had been pulled from the closet.

Zink looked away sharply... and then conceded...“The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure.”
He made a valiant effort to grind his own self pity under his boot heel, he was at best minority successful...too sore and too tired to put up the fight he should have with his own damaged ego.
"Ok...why are there so many people so happy to help me strip?"

Alkaid took the staff then, without question, and simply nodded at Fayalite as she stooped down to try to assess Schee's knee. Then of course the shouting began and, try as she might to ignore it, she couldn't get past what was exchanged.

She didn't speak though, she simply stared up at Tanzanite as she asked to be removed from the room. She wanted to help, to say something, to soothe her - that was just her nature. She knew, though, that Tanzanite had more than enough support and she and what little skills she had were needed elsewhere. She simply offered the most sympathetic look she could manage, and, without a word, turned her attention back to the captain that had injured Tanzanite worse with his words than anything from the battle.

"I'm not sure how much a splint is going to help this," she was frowning now as she peeled back the tattered pants, "his kneecap is shattered and that will probably need surgery. I don't even know if it's salvageable." She didn't want to scare anyone, but that was just the truth.. her own opinion. She did take the staff and tried to ease Schee's leg straight as carefully as she could. "A splint will keep him from moving it and shifting the fragments into a more dangerous place though."

She threw a glance over her shoulder at the heap of medical supplies, then cast a glance at Serandite. "Could you grab a couple of rolls of gauze for me while your patient gets ready, General?"
