A faint smile trailed across his maw as the midnight hued wolf tugged at his ear and embraced against him. It was a comfort, a reassurance that everything would be okay but...would it really?
The tawny and carrot colored male chuckled to himself. "At least I would have done something worthwild," he replied as he nestled down back into the snow, his blood-stained body lying still within the confines of the softened powder underneath him.
His tattered body was slowly regaining his strength but, for now, he was best not to move nor expell any energy whatsoever. It would take time for him to rejuvinate and his muscles to loosen but it felt as if time was against him; perhaps these were his last breaths...maybe this would be his last day and blaze in glory or rather fade within the crimson tarnished snow.
A lost soul, a forgotten warrior....
No. He wouldn't succumb to death without a fair struggle. This would be the day that the tawny and carrot colored male would brawl for his life and his own survival.
A sudden surge of pain shot through his leg and Jaxom instantly gritted his teeth, wincing as he surpressed the pain and stifled a snarl. "I just need to live..." he growled in a low tone, his forepaws cushioning his head as he glanced towards Ehrek.
His ears flickered as the charcoal-blue colored wolf spoke, listening with silence only to assure himself that every word was heard. "I...just need to rest," he commented with a rather tired, drowsey hint in his voice.
"Don't feel like you need to barracade youself in here...you can explore..."

"No Jaxom, I don't feel like I am barricading myself here. I want to." he slid himself close the tawny carrot wolf. "I'm staying here with ya, make sure you get your rest." he laid himself down next to him mimiking his position.
"Jaxom, we can leave whenever you are ready..."

The tawny and carrot colored male winced, holding back the pain as best he could, and gritted his teeth slightly. It would be a while before he could regain his stamina or even try to stand up on all four legs. There was no use in rushing...but, for now, he just needed to rest.
A small, faint smile crept upon his maw. "At least tell me what it's like outside...I'd get a better idea when to leave if I knew the weather conditions."
Emerald orbs flickered open only for a few moments but, as the attempt proved futal, Jaxom could not bear to fight away the need to sleep any longer. His body was curled up slightly as his feathered, gently bristled tail wrapped around his body.
Sleep was coming; he could feel it.
"Is it snowing?" He yawned slightly, a muffled tone as he buried his muzzle within his forepaws.

Ehrek stuck his nose out of the entrance taking sniffs of the cold air outside. The two-toned wolf set a single paw onto the snow covered ground. His head peaked out, no sounds. Ehrek looked up into the grey sky. The couds gathered about as small fakes fell to the earth below. It was going to be a long while until the snow fall stops. Ehrek huffed a small cloud of vapor before entering again.
He laid himself next to Jaxom for warmth and comfort. "It's snowing, it'll be a long time before it stops. However the snow is soft now and it will be slightly easier to travel than on high snow." he replied. But it would seem Jaxom has drifted to sleep. He'll tell him later. Ehrek pulled his bushed tail around himself as he too drifted off with a smile. "Get some rest, Jaxom..."
