A personal favorite rule of mine that isn't really offical for the nuzlocke is to forbid any and all pokemon to evolve and not use legendaries. Makes the elite four hard as hell.

I don't think I'll be using any legendaries just due to the fact that I don't want to waste my money on repels so that they'll be the first things I catch in any area...but not evolving anything seems kinda like wasted potential to me, though I'm sure it would make it way harder

Maaaan I gotta design a Mr. Pokemon... assuming I even have room for him in my comic's frames when his time rolls around... I have a special line in mind I want to have him say when we meet him that is giving me much chuckles in my head.

Trust me I've tried with some pokemon to evolves as soon as possible and compared to ones evolved later they end up in the same range. So don't waste time raising a lvl2 blissy to lvl 100 it will be almost the same as if you didn't evolve chancy until the level up from 99 to 100.

@DMS: Make him a gent looking dude in a top hat! Or at least a silly hat! As a side note, I like how your Elm looks older than mine~ @Nerd: Oh, I gotcha. As long as whatever it is is still level 98, you can always evolve up on the next level up. And then again on the next level. I suppose I might do that if I wasn't telling a story...because the moments of evolution can be pretty epic and significant if done well. I think. @Clover: Well, you will have to keep waiting then. Because if you read the Nuzlocke ruleset, one of the rules that I'll be following is the "No Eggs" rule. I'll bet none of you have ever said no to that guy when he tries to give you the egg, have you? He seems so sad... xd

I have rejected eggs from the day care man a lot of times. I think I will hatch my Togepi, but I doubt I will use it. xD

It's pretty much the coolest thing ever. Well, maybe not. HG/SS incorporate elements of Crystal into it, specifically the stuff about Suicune and that one weird guy you have to fight every now and then that follows him/her/it.
