So, apparently skating was out of the picture when it came to the threesome. Isadora pouted a bit; she had really hoped that she would be able to skate with her friends, but perhaps she would have to wait until she had some time to herself. A shame, but it could not be helped. "Ahll right, then... No skahtin'."After a moment of thought on the prospect of sledding, Isadora decided to herself that that would be the best choice. She didn't know how to ski or snowboard, having never been bothered to, so sledding was her only other option unless she just wanted to stand around in the cold. That was no fun. She chuckled. "I dohn't think I wouhld mind sohme slehddin'; if we found a slehd, tha' is."

"I don't know that it's actually supposed to be a break at all. I think someone may have sneaked the authentication past him or something. Either way, we're here and yeah, ski resort." Tam' nodded, clearly impressed too, though perhaps just a little lost on what she /should/ be doing. "Flip flops... would not be ideal for this weather," She agreed, but smirked as the other woman declared her hatred of shoes "But the boots look good on you, Ace. Both of you look good in your snow gear." She complimented the medic and her Totodile, glancing with a smile from one to the other. "I wouldn't know about broken bones and frozen pokemon, but I'll take your word. If Palu gets too cold, she won't be too proud to go back to her ball, I'm sure." Another smile as she looked toward the snow-thing. "Looks like the pair of them are having fun though."
Palu tilted her head as steam seemed to emit from the little Totodile. She'd seen such a thing before, but she'd never seen a pokemon react so gleefully to it. Her little blue friend was clearly just full of delights and the bird let out a happy warbling chuckle, before flapping after him.

Len, having fallin' into the snow a dozenth time trying to avoid snowballs, decided it would just be best to stick to the floor. She had been laying, looking up at the pristine blue know as the sky for some time, Hestia burning an ocean where she sat. The poor pup was covered and sizzling in melted water. It didn't help that her raise of temperature was making her sink inch by inch.
"I wish I were an ice specialist." she murmured with a sigh. "Really . . . "

Claire couldn't help but chuckle at the mental image of Lucas falling all over himself on the skating rink. As funny as that would be, she really had no intentions of going anywhere near any sort of ice if she could help it, so Lucas could be spared from humiliating himself from skating. That didn't exclude anything else, of course.
She pursed her lips and furrowed her brows slightly, trying to think of anything else to do. Skating, no way. Skiing, nope. Snowboarding, only if she wanted to break her legs. That left sledding and the standard activities that didn't require putting your feet on potentially dangerous things - which were snowball fights (also no), building snowmen, snow angels... And snow forts! But those usually implied the desire to have a snowball fight, so by property of association snow forts were out too. Crap, that didn't leave much at all, did it? "Or a toboggan," she suggested. "Or a tube." But that was all counted in the general activity of 'sledding' anyway, but so far she couldn't see any of those things. Maybe they'd stumble across them later? Hopefully.

Flushing brightly Acacia rolled her eyes and exhaled loudly, a misty cloud of steam exploding from her barely parted lips. “You are too much Tamie! I will admit Ampule looks great but I hardly look worthy of getting such a sweet compliment. You however look ravishingly gorgeous,” coyly bantered the light-haired medic. “But that is normal for you, wow, you really look great with your hair loose.”
Sticking her tongue out and catching it between her teeth the slender grunt reached forward and nimbly scooped the glasses from the other woman's face. “You know if I throw these in the snow, you might never find them again.” Giggling childishly Acacia turned on her heels and bolted with long even strides away from her female friend. She felt like being playful and she sure as gold knew that snagging the framed-eyeware from the younger woman would get her to give into a chase. Or at lease she hoped for as much.

"I'd be happy to accompany you. Just uh... as a spectator, rather than as a participant," Lucas said, his tone apologetic, on noticing the slight disappointment that tinged Isadora's words. Perhaps he'd find some time when everyone else had gone indoors to practice the art by himself; then he could try it in broad daylight without fear of making a complete fool of himself. Maybe partly a fool, but some things were unavoidable.
"So sledding, huh?" he said with a laugh as Claire listed off what were essentially synonyms. "I'm sure they've got the equipment to accommodate that around here somewhere. It's a ski resort in winter, after all." And shame on them if there were, in fact, no sleds. Shame on them.

Slightly stunned as she recieved a compliment in return, and definitely taken aback by the favourable comment on her hair, Tam' coloured up just slightly all over again, a hand reaching shyly to stroke fingers through it. "Really? Um. Thanks, Ace. I just.. with the hat, it.. Wh- Hey!" She yelped as her glasses were suddenly plucked from in front of her. She narrowed her eyes and peered as the world got fuzzier, Acacia getting less defined the further away she got. "Hey! No! Come back! I need those!" She called, her voice and smile getting a little nervous. A snowy environment, without her glasses, suddenly seemed a much more awkward place to be. Gradually she developed a half smirk/ half frown, as she concentrated on going after Acacia. "Hey! Thief!" She shouted ineffectually as she chased.

As he brushed the snow that Skiron had scuffed at him out of his face, the word 'skating' registered in Frost's brain. Half turning he watched the conversation between the green-haired woman, the scarred man, and Claire transpire. He had a pair of skates in his bag, it was a poor sort of ice-specialist who couldn't deal with his chosen environment after all... But she hadn't been talking to him, and they were now discussing sledding instead. Perhaps he should go and talk to her anyway... What was the worst that could happen? Social rejection, clearly, and he was hardly a stranger to that.
Shrugging internally, Frost abandoned his octagon and gigantic snowball, picked up his bag, and drifted over to the trio with Skiron by his side. "I believe I saw a storage hut on our way in," he began abruptly, "there will be sleds there I suspect, along with skis and such. However," he turned sharply to the green-haired woman, "if you still wish to go skating, I would be pleased to accompany you." Humm. He should probably have integrated himself into the conversation with a little more subtlety. Not a lot he could do about it now though.

Alexander wasn't too far away from the snowball fight now and leaned up against a tree to watch. Who ever Lennyka's opponint was, he was winning that was sure. He couldn't help but chuckle every time the woman was sent tumbling from the snow, not the snow flying at her but on the ground. He would admit to anyone it took a few minutes to adjust to walking in the snow but it wasn't too different then soft sand.
Conrad had caught up to his partner then barreled past and proceeded to almost run into Hestia. "EE! Vee ee eev! Eve!" he greeted cheerfully, not at all bothered by the snow all around him that was melted or melting from the Growlithes heat.

Acacia jogged awkwardly in the snow covered environment while holding the prescription glasses over her head.
'Hey! Thief!'
Bursting out into a hysterical fit of laughter Acacia stopped in mid stride. Twirling in place the lithe framed medic pointed with her free hand towards the approaching woman. “You are kidding me? We are all thieves here, use specific names Ta----”
Wobbling for just a moment as her boot stuck in the fluffy power throwing off her balance as she tried to take a step backwards, she already knew it was a lost battle, gritting her teeth together and drawing her hands towards her chest and hoped that the impact was as soft as she imagined it would be.
THUD!
Grunting with disdain the slender medic laid face up in the snow scowling at the sky. “Karma---Come get your glasses from me Tamie before there is an avalanche or something.” Acacia called in a flat listless tone but not loud enough to be a yell. She was not going to try to flirt ever again. Lifting the glasses up as a sign of defeat the deep purple shaded eye-ware was as good as a white flag in this failure of a moment.

Running in snow is hard work. Running in blurry snow is more complex. Tambrey was trying to chase Acacia as best she could, but she had to take it carefully with the snow lacking detail even more than if she had been looking at it properly. The dark-haired Grunt found herself stumbling a few times. Still, at least her myopia wasn't incredibly terrible; she could see Acacia ahead and most hazards. The blurr was usually more annoying than it was hazardous. She slowed as she reached where the medic had fallen, smirking down as her left hand reached to take her glasses back. "Thank you," Tam's voice was mirthfully tuneful as she replaced her eyewear to her face and then reached down to offer that same hand to help Acacia up "Did you have a pleasant excursion?" She knew it was a terrible joke, but still out it slipped.
Palu had taken to the air, after chasing Ampule, enjoying the scenery below, her scarf aiding to keep her somewhat warmer, though she flapped and performed some aerobatics to aid in staving off the cold. And perhaps also to show off a bit, especially to pokemon she knew.

"Oh, is that so?" Lucas regarded the man with a mild surprise. He had some vague memory of the aforementioned storage hut but had failed to connect it with any potential for sledding supplies. It made plenty of sense, though. "That's good to know, thanks." His usual charming accented his words, and he shifted slightly in the cold. "By the way, I don't think we've met before. Name's Lucas Bristow, at your service." He removed a hand from his pocket, extending it in greeting.

Claire had gotten quite used to people with minimal social graces because of Luke, so the sudden interruption didn't even throw a bump in the track her train of thought was running on. She turned and offered the blond man a smile, cheeks rosy from the cold. "Hello Frost," she offered with a nod, quickly noting the ice-type beside him and her smile widened a bit as she addressed him as well, "and hello to you too, Skiron. Enjoying the snow?" More than likely he was - he was an ice-type, after all.
"Ah," she said, brows knitting as a gloved hand dove into one of the inner pockets of her coat. A round thing of some sort was hidden in her glove as she removed it, but a flash of light was more than enough to show it was a pokeball. The light slowly faded into the shape of a shivering Pikachu, who glared up at his trainer for even thinking of bringing him out into the cold. Her expression had softened at his appearance, but now it depressed again into a frown. A thought suddenly struck her, though, and she replaced the pokeball before removing her scarf, then knelt down to wrap it snugly around his middle and shoulders as many times (and as evenly) as possible, then tied it so it would stay. There, now he wouldn't freeze. Well... As an after-thought, she removed her hat and fit it snugly over his head, his ears almost totally disappearing under the fabric except the brown tips sticking out the back. There. Now he really wouldn't freeze. "I don't have any winter outfits for pokemon like other people seem to," she commented to the group at large, though she didn't exactly need to say it.
Zeus looked thoroughly disgruntled at being wrapped up in so much fabric, but it made him warm so he enjoyed it. Inwardly, of course - outwardly he was still glaring at the young woman. Green eyes blinked though as he realized Frost was there, and - oh, Skiron! He offered the Glaceon an awkward wave, inhibited by the scarf wrapped so snugly around him. A muffled greeting of "chuu" filtered through the fabric. Barely.

"Lucas Bristow," Frost repeated, pondering whether he ought to use the forename or the surname in further interaction as he regarded the hand. After a moment, he extended his own hand and shook it. "You may call me Frost, as you may have deduced from Claire... I hope you are both enjoying this excursion? Oh. And Skiron is enjoying himself I think, but I have only just remembered to let him out; I was distracted by making a snow octagon."
He was pretty sure that had been one of those statements that made some people look askance at him. What was wrong with it though? He'd seen some rockets making snow 'angels' by waggling their arms and legs around like fools. The finish product didn't even look anything like traditional imagery; at least his octagon was indisputably an eight sided shape even if it was slightly wonky in places... Oh, yes, but in any case; they could think he was weird if they wanted, he did not require them to think he was the epitome of cool.
Skiron couldn't help a soft chuckle as the pikachu was bundled up in his trainer's scarf. At least the mouse pokemon would be warm he supposed, feeling very glad to be an ice type indeed. "Could be worse," he chirred, "at least you're not stuck on a torture machine."

Frost, was it? Rather a fitting name for their current environment. "A'right, nice to meet you, Frost," Lucas said with an acknowledging nod. He returned his hand to his pocket. It seemed everyone had their pokemon about them, leaving the man feeling slightly guilty to keep his own in their pokeballs. But poor Merry was afraid of strangers, Fetch and Snow (ironic as the latter's name was) were fire-types and not particularly well-suited for the wintry landscape, and Liselle would probably be swallowed up by the snow if she set foot in it. Rather than torment them, he chose to be the odd man out and leave his pokemon at his hip.
"Oh right, I noticed the octagon," Lucas turned in its direction at its mention. "You got a pretty big snowball out of it too. Kind of like a snow crop circle." He grinned at the thought. They could create a whole mess of the shapes in the dead of night and watch people wonder how they got there the next morning. Except probably not; snowy nights were a bit lower on the priority list than cozy warm beds.
Claire, on finishing her work with Zeus, would find herself undergoing similar treatment as Lucas thoroughly wrapped her with his own scarf (which he also made a point of tying behind her so she couldn't easily remove it and give it back) and pulling his hat down over her ears. "And what'll you do if you freeze, huh?" It was a bit retroactive as far as a warning went, but it was at least an explanation.
