Perhaps you are wishing on planets instead of stars. Try to stay away from the Star closet to the moon because it is actually a plaent, Venus I think...but I don't remember. And don't wish on any Red ones...those are bad luck.

And how do you start off your wish? Do you use that whole "Star light, star bright..." thing or something else? What works for me is that I sing the song...plus it's just fun to sing.
