The Librarian smiled and would have scuffed his feet on the floor if he had been standing. Just short of saying 'oh shucks', he shook his head and laughed.
"Well..." He smiled, chuckling. "From the sound of all that, I'm glad you had a nice evening. I'd happily be the guy apologizing for taking you out a second time, sometime. I mean. If you wanted to. Er."
He smiled at her, feeling more confident than he sounded for one of the first times that night, at least as far as he could remember. He smiled at her and found that easy to do. He was glad she had given him a chance, that the night had gone so well, that they were able to just relax and have a nice dinner.
He paid for the check and their waiter wished them a nice rest of the night. He stood and politely waited, then offered her his arm when they were ready to go. He left a nice tip, mostly because he hadn't been sure on how much was proper and opted for the more is better than less tactic of covering for himself, then walked out of the restaurant with her.
It was a cool evening, but a pretty one. Calm, quiet, no giant monsters or evil creatures tearing down the street. No costumed terrorists or vigilantes. Just two people coming out of a perfect date. Tony glanced at her after a few steps into the parking lot and paused, then took a chance to kiss her without a table between them. Maybe a surprise, but he gently took her face in his hand before he moved in, guiding her to look at him before pressing his lips lightly to hers.

Something had been holding Suri back the entire night, some reservation or need for caution as she progressed through the date. But as she looked at Tony, her mind cornered the last little pieces of worry and suffocated them, stifling them with this new-found feeling in her chest that she couldn't quite explain. "When you put it like that," she mused between her last sip of wine, "How could I possibly say no?" She quietly nodded her thanks to the waiter as she stood, and with a smile she reached for Tony's arm, somehow finding comfort in the way their arms intertwined.
"Just as long as we don't go to that one bar," she chuckled to herself, thinking back to so many months ago in that hole in the wall place where they'd found each other. It was almost ironic, the contrast between the two nights, and the more she thought about it the more tickled she felt, the soft chuckle growing to an all-out laugh. Of course, in her amusement, she failed to notice Tony swooping down for a kiss until his hand was on her face, and she only had a split second to ready herself for the rush of glee that came with his soft touch.
She lingered there for a moment longer than the restaurant, then placed a hand on his neck to keep herself supported. His pulse thrummed strongly against her fingertips, but for once she wasn't thinking of the energy that coursed through the man's veins. In a blasphemous rush of emotions that later she chastised herself for, she thought nothing of the Negaverse or the Senshi, of her directive or her peers, the bitter taste of old dreams crushed or even what exactly the man before her was. All she felt was her, and him, and the chill of the night, and the warmth of his arms.
And for one small moment of Suri's life, that was enough for her.
When Suri finally let go, her face was flushed and her pulse was rushing at a million miles a minute. Looking up at Tony, her expression was bewildered for a moment, as if she had lost her wits, and then slowly she regained her smile. "Alright, Mr. Darrow," she finally conceded, "You win."
