"Oh, I see...well, I guess I can kind of understand how he feels..." sweatdrop "Being a half-breed of a unique bloodline doesn't help matters much." x_X

"Being a halfbreed of an unknown bloodline doesn't help much either," Rabid snickered.

"Mummy...I can't feel my fingers..."

"Erm...oof. I guess we should go back inside," Rabid smiled and offered Riyu her hand, "It was nice seeing you again."

Riyu laughed and shook Rabid's hand. "Yes, it was great seeing you both again! XD Bye Ike!" Riyu smiled. They seemed to be more accepting of him this time around. Perhaps he would stick around this weird world a while longer.

"Oh! By the way...before you go...does your son like chocolates?" XD

Ike stopped and turned on the ball of his foot.

"Yes?" Ike replied in the only way a sugar addict knew how.

XDD "Then I have just the thing for you. Just got these Swiss chocolates recently. Hope you like em!"

He dug out of his pocket a large bag of chocolates, handing them out to Ike. He hoped this would make up for his blunder from their earlier meeting.

Ike happily snatched the chocolates (although he was currently unable to make a full fist) and gave Riyu a big hug.

"Thank you, sir!" he grinned and scampered off behind his smiling Mummy.

His eyes had grown big and he blushed out of sheer happiness. XD "I have befriended someone here at last!!!" he thought happily to himself.

Laughing, he waved to Ike. "Hope you like em!"

Sabriel's guardian stood ankle deep in snow at the edge of the playground, her fists clenched slightly. "If you don't get down from there right now..."

What had started as an innocent visit to the playground had ended up in difficulty, as most things surrounding the toddlerized Mishap did. If she locked him in the room, boarded up the windows, chained the door shut, and swallowed the key, he'd get out and be somewhere he shouldn't be by the end of the day.

Sabriel stuck his tongue out at her. He went on trying to clamber across the top of the monkeybars, tails swinging in a wheel to keep his balance. He put out a paw to one of the bars....and slipped.

But he clenched his claws tight and rolled upside down, looking into Chin's face, mid-gasp. A smirk found its way on his own face. Gotcha there, didn't I? it said.

She didn't know what to do until he actually came down, unless she grabbed him from the bars herself, a sure recipe for landing them both on the ground. Chinchillie settled for tailing him across the roof of the playfort. Maybe someone else could help. Trying one more time, she shouted, "Sabriel, get DOWN here already!" Whatever made her put up with him this long?

Len was wandering the grounds as usual, not going anywhere in particular.

"Cripes. Crappy day..." She complained to Sadako, who was nestled in the crook of the girl's arm. Her ear caught the sound of shouting from the playground, and she started towards it. She wanted a bit of new company.

"Hey, whoever it is - oh. Cat." Len's cheerful greeting wavered, but she hitched her smile back on determinedly. She'd wanted company, and she'd be damned if the fact that it was a cat was going to deter her.

"Hi, Sabriel," she said, waving pleasantly to him and to Chin. "Haven't seen you in a while!"

Curled atop the plastic roof like a royal throne, Sabriel was quick to spot Len, wandering towards the playground with Sadako as company. WAS that Len? He suffered a moment of confusion, seeing that she'd grown. But there wasn't mistaking The Bird. Not possible at all.

"Bird." he muttered. Then, "'Lo." in a louder voice, with a definitely unfriendly tone. If she was going to help Chin's crusade on dragging him down, she had another thing coming.

"Lenore! Hi!" A familiar face! Thank the heavens! Chin's exasperated expression faded, although not entirely disappearing, as she waved back. In fact, she was thinking about asking Len, though the girl wasn't looking very happy. "Yeah." She blinked. It hadn't been -that- long, but Len was...way taller. Hm.

Ignoring the edge in Sabriel's voice, Len graced the Cat with another wave before turning to Chin.

"Hiya, Miss Chin," She said. "How've you been?"

In Len's arms, Sadako let a low hiss escape in rude greeting to Sabriel. Oh, she remembered him well...

Ignore him, would she? Fine. Sabriel sniffed. His sulk was broken by a hiss coming from Len's direction, a hiss that, when he turned to pinpoint it, found to be coming from an evilpossesseddollthingy he knew just as well as she knew him. Sadako still freaked him out. What to do, what to do...

Hissing in return, the Cat dug his claws into the roof - deep enough that he felt it give way, a wrenching feeling like falling. He stifled a yelp and clung until stability returned, then glared murder at the playfort, like it had thought of this. The plastic had ripped off at his feet, popping an idea into his head as he looked at it. Picking the chunk of plastic up, Sabriel squinted and took careful aim at the doll and Lenore. Ammo!

"Pretty good - if you don't count a little stress. Nothing too bad, though." Chin said truthfully. Well...not entirely truthfully, depending on your viewpoint. Sabriel was in danger right this moment, wasn't he? "It's hard to be unhappy when it's nearly spring! How about you?" She was somewhat reluctant to ask. Lenore hadn't been looking very cheerful on the way over.

The hissing fit hadn't gone unnoticed - turning around to give Sabriel a Look, she found herself with a piece of red plastic aimed straight for them. "Don't you dare!" she yelped, forgetting about the Look in the face of danger. "I swear to God, if you throw that...!"

Nope. Not stressed at all.

Cheered up by the pleasant company, Len shrugged.

"That's good! Well, not the stress, but being good is... good." she said. "I like spring. It's warm, and we don't have to stay inside, and there's no snow." She added, kicking at the hated white stuff to make her point. Glancing up at Sabriel and the Potentially Dangerous Thing in his hand, she snorted.

"Oh, please." She muttered, cocking an eyebrow. So the Cat was already going to try something, huh? Severely tempted to make a wind to knock him off his perch, she turned back to Miss Chin.

"Don't matter if he chucks it or not," she said dismissively. "Won't make it halfway. Anyway, I'm good. Thank you for asking."

Pleased she'd rattled him already, Sadako waved to Sabriel insolently. Silly cat.

The snow retaliated by drifting up in a cloud and sticking to Lenore. Chin, still watching Sabriel, didn't know why Len was so sure about their safety. He had pretty good aim when he tried. Placing trust on her confidence, she nodded slowly, keeping an ear out though she looked back at the bird Mishap. "Yes." she agreed, dreamily. "I love spring. You're doing good? That's...well...good. M'glad to hear it." Yup.

"We need a picnic when the weather gets warmer. It's only right." Chin added on the end, very seriously.

All three insults were just about the limit for Sabriel. First Lenore, then Sadako, now being ignored again! Letting out a strangled shriek, he scrambled down as close to the edge as he dared and hurled the plastic at Sadako. If only he was close enough - he'd rip her beady eyes out and throw them in the lake and...ARGHHHHH!
