Erin watched the mechanic, amazed at the proficiency with which she was able to repair the equipment, and appreciating the woman's hospitality. It meant more to her than the woman could know, but with the experience she had suffered through with the engineer from her last crew, she couldn't help but feel somewhat defensive anytime she believed she had broken something. "You know more about these things than I do, so if you think a different kind of tubing is what it needs, go for it."

She had developed a great respect for this woman's set of skills. While Erin was capable of making the ship do things that most could only dream of, Carin actually knew how it did it. "Once you're finished with them, just put them over here... I think I'll leave them off for a while." She said enjoying the lack of weight on her body.

"And then let's get this bird skyward before any feds decide to show their face... "

The captain found his way into his bunk, shredding off his brown coat and hanging it on the wall he sat down on his bed a long moment with his head dead and his elbows resting on his knees, hands drapped down. His right hand lifting up to rub the ridge of his nose as he thought for a long moment, the bar fight was just a fun distraction and now back to business... he had to find some work or his boat would be moving on fumes pretty soon.

Getting on the cortex, he considered who would be best to check in with first and decided if anyone would half some honest work for them it'd be Siouxsie. Hailing her signal he waited a moment before her pretty face came on the view screen in his room and that lovely voice of hers said "Captain Spatuck... I was starting to wonder if I'd hear from the likes of you." Stephan smiled and said "Didn't mean to make you lonely Sioux, just been busy. Thought I'd check in and see if you needed any work done?" With a smirk she said "For you hun, always. How about you come meet at the usual, I'll get your ship fueled up and your crew fed before we talk business." This kindness was code for the captain, he knew full well what it meant "I appreciate the kindness... we'll see you soon as we can." With that he ended the transmission and stroked his chin a moment, he and Siouxsie went back, war buddies in fact so he knew he could trust her. Her coded message was an old one between them and while it always meant high risk factor, it also meant stealing right from under the Fed's noses which he was always game for!

Snapped from his thoughts as Erin messaged him, he got over to the wall mounted system and replied back "Glad to hear it. Set a course for Persephone, we're going to pay Siouxsie a visit, sounds like she's got something exciting lined up for us and it includes dinner." He knew his crew wasn't dumb, it's why he hired them in the first place and after working with Siouxsie for so many years, 'dinner' was probably a hint to them too of what was to come in their line of work.

(That depends on if anyone would like some crew interaction time just as the crew. I know the captain has something he's about to take care of...)

After giving the heading to Erin, Stephan glanced around his room a moment and remembered something he had purchased for his mechanic. Grabbing the stabilizer in its oh so fancy wrapping (a brown cloth to keep it from getting dirty during transit) he headed up the ladder out of his room, closing the door shut behind him as he made his way through the ship. When he reached the entrance to the engine room he poked his head in and asked "So where's that fine looking mechanic I hear that earned herself a new stabilizer?" He held up the wrapped item with a little enthusiastic shake, hoping that if she had an lingering anger towards the pervs at the bar that this would take her mind off it.

The captain stepped into the engineering room when she called to him but before he could get very far, there she was looking for her gift. He smiled a little, glad to see she was back to work so soon without much prompting, he expected nothing less. Holding out the make-shift wrapping covered stabilizer he said "Only if you can use it." Glancing around the room slightly he asked "I know you're as steady as they come but you sure you want to be working after all the drinkin' and fightin' you just had? I wouldn't hold it against you if you wanted a few eyes shut eye.

Erin groggily sat up in her chair before looking to Yuri. "That sounds like a great i..." The video screen started flashing as the received a wave originating from Ariel. "Nevermind." She mumbled, her voice still extremely soft in an effort to detour the headache she was sure would come.

She hit a button and a rather staticy picture of Natalie appeared. She donned an elegant green dress that's price tag would surprise any of the crew. Her light red hair was up in a bun, she was beautiful. Her eyes were pink, and streams it was obvious from her skin's discoloration that she had been crying pretty hard. "Whats wrong hun'?" Erin asked surprised to see the girl in this condition. "I thought you were supposed to be at some fancy shindig with your family."

"Unification day isn't fun anymore." She said before she noticed the man in the background. Her face turned even more red. "I mean, it was never fun for you guys but-"

"It's fine Nat... What happened."

"Well dad was giving his usual unification day speech before the fireworks show, and when I said that not all browncoats were... uhm... Anyway, he said that you were a bad influence, and I wasn't allowed to go back to Tranquility."

"You need a rescue?" Erin asked.

"No, I have enough credits for a transport... Mum thought that giving me some platinum would stop me from being upset... Where are you guys heading?"

"We'll arrive at Persephone mid-day tomorrow." Erin could hear steps coming towards Natalie. "I'll send you a wave once we get there... Try not to get into too much trouble." With that the screen turned off. Erin sighed turning back to Yuri. "Uhg... Unification day always sucks."

"Yeah... I could go for some food." She smiled as she took the boy's hand. She let go once they had reached the dining area, and headed for the fridge. 'Seal seems to be holding up.' She thought as she rummaged around. "What do you want?" She asked as she pulled out a banana, and some protein butter. She then moved over to one of the cabinets, and found a loaf of bread.

After she had constructed the sandwhich she looked to Yuri. "You know where the syrup is?"

"Honey will have to do." The woman stood beside him as she started eating her unique sandwich. "Looks like Natalie had a pretty bad vacation..." She said frowning. She was never good at small talk. "Eh... I'm gonna go report to Stephan, he'll probably want to know that she'll be joining us for dinner tomorrow.

With that she left the younger man behind and headed towards where she had heard his voice last.
