Mataki Hito
Student Council President

"Thinking about me, are you?" Mataki asked, touching the back of the girl's neck with a fruit juice suddenly after practically being called over by the cringing, whining girl whose voice could be heard halfway through the forest. A different group entirely had reported it, but given the circumstances he told them to calm down, and that he would check and make sure there were no problems...which obviously, there hadn't been. "You know it might not be the cleanest work in the world, but you're helping the environment directly by putting your best foot forward and working with enthusiasm in this matter." Mataki said, giving a rather honest opinion about the camp cleanup. Too many people assumed that the Earth would just clean itself up, and worse were those who believed that there were others who would fix their mistakes without any prompting, when in fact there were no where near enough volunteers or paid professionals to keep parks clean, lakes clear, and the skies blue. To be able to put their best foot forward and keep the area around it clean was one of things about Inaba which Mataki so admired, even when any number of other towns would let trash build up, waiting patiently for the day that some metropolitan city planner would come in to bulldoze the area, burn the trees, and set up nicer homes for those who already had more than enough for themselves. More than often enough, it really came to pass, too. The fact that Inaba was able to stay connected with it's deeply rooted rural nature, and not let modern day society pollute the area, was something he was willing to work for, and that he hoped the others would support him at as well.

"There are no servants in the real world. And many people neglect nature, throwing things away without any consideration for the environment around them. Even if you offered them money, that wouldn't teach anyone what a devastating impact it could have on the environment...think about it. Every piece of waste out here is someone's forgotten thought, a moment of laziness where they were willing to succumb to the belief that someone, anyone else would clean up their mess." Mataki held another drink in his right hand for Minori as well, but with his left he held an orange juice up to his mouth and had a sip, glancing at all the mess. "Ignoring the undesirable things they left behind, telling themselves it will be fine, or secretly hoping someone else will discover what they buried deep down...reminds you a lot of yourself, doesn't it?" Mataki asked, mentioning Personas. He'd learned enough about the subject to have some guess, but what he'd thought from the beginning was that perhaps they were appearing for a reason. If people were unable to change their ways, and figure out that throwing away things they simply couldn't bear wasn't always the answer. That was the same as the trash they were cleaning now, but unlike here, the things that cluttered someone's heart weren't so easily scrubbed away...

"So, what say I join your group?" Mataki asked, taking another sip of his orange juice. It was obvious that they hadn't formed theirs entirely yet, and the groups would have to cook together, clean together...and do a fair number of things that he figured they could use help with. Amelia already looked like she was cracking under the pressure of picking up garbage, and he didn't want to think that Minori might have to pick up her slack after all, since both of them probably weren't use to doing community service on a regular basis like he was. That's right, Mataki himself had volunteered from time to time to clean up the areas around Inaba, and his shrine could always provide a temporary place of residence to those who were less fortunate or down on their luck. And right now, laying next to trash with tears practically gathering in her eyes, having nothing short of a mental breakdown, Amelia kind of looked like a down-and-out hobo, so it was his duty to aid the two until they had gotten back up on their feet, and for that he was even willing to join their group! But he'd still cleaned his part of the forest, so he had no obligation to put on plastic gloves and dig in at the moment.

Amelia M. Heartilly

The girl had her hand rubbing at the back of her head, giving off a bit of a glare over towards the purple-haired president as he made his entrance over with juice bopping at the back of her neck. "As if I would." she mumbled some, a touch of pink being on her cheeks due to her frustration and she went on back to her picking up the trash. Looking around now, didn't look like there was too much for her to handle, and that was sure a huge relief for her and Minori. She sighed some, still sucking it up here and there then stabbed in to some of the trash to pick up and bent to scoop up any bottles that where in hand along with any other solid strange objects that her pick could take a jab into. Seeing the process that was done already, well it was enough encouragement for the spoiled girl to keep on and immaculate the place.

"Yes there is." Amelia mumbled again ont he first line of Mataki's lecture, looking over at him for a few moments with her attention... before she went back to work on the area. "I'm well aware." she answered. A few more wrappers were added. And Mataki conintued on, feeling as if she's heard this one too many times, but it was understandable. Truly, yes! Yes it was, so this guy enjoyed keeping things in check, he likes having things in order. That was what the President seemed to be obsessed with; Order. And if it were anything else, it becomes a problem that he wants to fix himself, and there will be no set backs whatsoever. Amelia paused some, her head wandering on perhaps the scary side of Mataki Hito.... Her head tilted, yeah it was from that one real old movie. Some sci-fi flick that had the main villain being a computer who killed off the people just for the sake of the mission being complete. She mentally shrugged. She could only remember the computer's name (HAL), and wondered if perhaps one day Mataki was going to snap and just go nuts about Order. ...her mind was going places.

"Hm?" She lifted up her head, hearing that he'd join the group. Her eyes went over her shoulder and she rubbed her forehead with her arm. "Why bother, will be done soon anyway..." Eh.. well... The rich girl sighed some. "You can if you want, though." ... he had juice... he was giving Minori juice... And just by looking at it, the girl couldn't help by lick her lips at the thought of some sort of moisture going through her throat.

"My my, this fresh air is quite relaxing." Haseo said to himself, walking around the forest, spearing any pieces of trash that he'd stumble upon. "Makes me wonder why the school makes us do this, though I'm not complaining. All this trash ruins the beauty of the forest, I'd say." he said to himself, picking a few more pieces of trash. This was work he'd have to do in a group, but unfortunately, he had no luck whatsoever in finding a group. Because of this, he ended up all by himself spearing trash as he wandered around the forest. Because of this, the poor boy had ended up getting bored really easily. "Man, I wish I should've brought my iPod or something. Right, Kusanagi?" Haseo said, having tried to contact his Persona. No luck, though. The first and only time his Persona had ever spoken to him was before he summoned it for the first time. 'Couldn't help but to try, though.' he thought, chuckling. "Huh? What's that?" Haseo said to himself, hearing voices not too far from him. Walking a bit closer, he stumbled upon a small group of three people consisting of the Student Council President, Minori and Amelia. "Hey." he said, waving towards the group as he walked closer towards them. "By any chance, would you need another member for your group?" he asked, smiling.

"Want it?" Mataki asked, offering the same can he'd poked Amelia with before to the girl again, having meant the original hello to be his offer. At the same time Haseo appeared through the woods, apparently not grouped up yet, and Mataki couldn't say that the two did have a full group considering they were still down another person, even if he joined himself. Besides, despite Amelia's cute attempt to stick it out, there was an unnecessarily large amount of trash in the area, so another hand could always help, though he intended to clean the place of anything that remained later...through other means. "Ah, Haseo Yamagada from class 3-2, right? We're in luck, we need a fourth member. If you'd join us it'd be our pleasure." Mataki said with a smile, being polite about it like normal.

Mataki looked back at Amelia, taking another drink again after asking Haseo if they'd like to join, if just for a moment. "And I'm not some crazy robot Amelia, I'm not going to kill every human being just to make sure everyone obeys the dress code. But hey, why should I be the one to convince you this is for the best?" Was he some sort of mind reader? Noooo...Mataki's words finished and he turned his head, sipping and averting his gaze, as a flick of the wrist caused a picture to emerge from his sleeve...and with a light push, and a bit of wind, it floated over to Amelia, showing a picture of a cute bunny with it's head caught in a 6-pack soda ring, helplessly struggling against it. Even if black rabbits were considered a serious overpopulation problem in Japan, the cuteness factor was still considerably high, and no one could be heartless enough to want an animal who was harmless even to other beings to meet it's end in such a defenseless, harsh and cold way, all because people couldn't clean up their own trash properly nowadays in forests and wildlife reserves. But hey, he didn't say any of that...he just let the picture do the talking. And if Amelia wasn't moved by that, it was her own heartless endeavor.

Yuno

Thunk. A chunk of carrot was pushed to the side as Yuno cheerfully cut up vegetables for dinner, humming to herself as she did so. Aah, such a wonderful chance! Here they were, out in the middle of nowhere, without certain people around to bother her and get in her way. Oh, it was so unfortunate that most of the school had come along as well, but that was all right. After all, it wasn't like the nursing area was going to be very crowded later. She'd discarded her first plan after only a moment; laxatives would make people think poorly of her cooking skills, and she really had tried to work on improving them. Instead, just a bit of sleeping agent that would put them to bed a little... earlier... than expected... and she, as a dutiful member of the group, couldn't possibly abandon Rednal at the nurse's area, and could happily volunteer to stay with him. And cuddle all night long, even if he was completely unconscious while she did it. They had a bond that couldn't be split apart so easily, after all, and the staff was well-aware of the fact that the two knew each other's medical histories particularly well, so there weren't as many questions to be asked. And with that, Yuno giggled as she cut another carrot. Aah, she was looking forward to this!

"Yes, that's right." he said, confirming his identity to Mataki. He wasn't surprised that the purple-haired President knew who he was, even if this was the first time they ever spoke. That's right, he was, after all, the Student Council President. "Sure, I'll join. I was looking for a group anyway." he told him, smiling back at Mataki. He listened to what Mataki had to say next, and managed to catch a glimpse of a picture that he had pulled out, and grimaced. Such a cute bunny, now why was it stuck in a soda ring? That wasn't fair. "Anyway, it seems to be getting late. I suggest we go back into camp." Haseo said to the group, looking around as the sky began to darken. He knew they had to make dinner, and he wondered if he should volunteer. He did know how to make a good meal, but the last time he cooked was so long ago.

Mio looked up to the sky as he noticed the sky begin to get darker. He knew they were supposed to get back to the camp site at night fall, so he looked over to his group and motioned his head towards the camp site. "Hey guys, I think we should go back. Its getting dark." he said to his group, who composed of a guy who seemed to talk as if he was older than he looked, another guy who seemed to be giving him weird looks, and finally, there was a girl with.... with.... "Whoa." he said in awe. How was that even possible? Regardless, his group seemed to be composed of fairly nice people, so he didn't really mind.

If only Izanami and Izanagi had given him the power to turn back time...he might have avoided this moment of truth. Sure, he had the foresight to pack his own food this time just in case things got late into the night and they still hadn't been presented with anything edible, but that didn't mean he would be excused from testing whatever culinary nightmare his two teammates might put on the table for him tonight. He could tell that Yukiko was nervous from the way she was looking around during their trash pickup, but Chie seemed to be as carefree as ever. If that was a good thing or a bad sign, well...he was soon to find out. And so it was with a heavy heart, full of dread, that he took his seat at the camping table and glanced warily into the small bag he had brought and the snacks which lay therein. He had brought them, but he wouldn't be eating them just yet. Common knowledge was that if you were going to be throwing up shortly, it was best not to have a whole lot in there to revisit for later. If that meant he wouldn't be eating anything for another 3 hours or more (however long it might take him to get Mystery Food X Version 2.0 out of his system), well then...so be it. It was best that he was the one to endure this divine (or was it demonic) punishment anyway, lest someone else have to suffer whatever frightful creation they came up with. ...As long as his weakened body could take it, that was. Well, anyway, it was no use complaining about it too much. And at least he wasn't the only one who had received a culinary death sentence today; his partner in crime, as usual, was sitting across the table from him with a look that mirrored his own...like a condemned man waiting to be lead to the gallows. Hoo-bloody-ray.

"Yukiko said she's been practicing," the Senior offered a mild comfort to his best friend and teammate, trying his best to look optimistic in spite of the fact that his entire body, remembering what he had tasted the last time, was screaming at him to make for the hills and never look back. Curry was what they had made the last time they cooked, and it looked like it would be curry again, judging by their ingredients. Bad omen...that's what he had thought at first. Then again, they had a year to improve, and...well, if you had to try and rationalize why everything that was likely to go wrong (and there were that many things that could go wrong) might not, you were probably in a bit of trouble. Soji realized this. But there were some things that a man just had to do. Testing the girls' cooking seemed to be one of them. But hey, at least it wasn't Rise trying to cook for them this time! Much as he hated to say it, he wasn't sure he could handle the trauma of Mystery Food X...and then choke down more of the magma-flavored bites that the idol was known for. By all that was good and just in the world...doing both would not come to pass.

He hoped.

"I hope it's not much longer," he thought aloud, voice quiet and resigned as he thoughtfully watched the girls preparing their meal...unable to tell from this distance exactly what they were putting into it, "It's probably best to just get it over with..."

Eido Aeroda

Oh Yeah, Eido was stoked. It was time for food, and he'd been starving. Plus, with that bodacious Bod of a woman cooking, they couldn't go wrong!!
To think, he was going to be getting food, cooked by the lovely and ever so busty Rosealine~~
Life was sweet~~
"I can't wait to taste your food Rose-senpai~" Eido called enthusiastically, sitting at the table. Such bliss~~

Jo(shu) on the other hand, looked less than pleased.
"I'll be back.." he called as he moved around, planning to mentally prepare himself for this. Rose was....questionable in the cooking department, and he'd need to have his stomach settled first.

He wandered around for a bit, before his eyes found a familiar figure, and then a figure with silver hair, with an almost fearful look in his eye that he could recognize.

"Seta-kun, I take it?" he called to the silverette, waving lightly. "Yumi-san told me you just got out of the hospital the other day, how are you feeling?"

Of course, he left a lot of questions unawnsered, but at the moment, he just remembered out of luck. He'd been taking part in the play, so he'd heard the silverette's name a few times. Plus, Souji was legendary amoungst the school.

Well, as legendary as a high school student could get in a school.

Either way, Jo(shu) figured now would be a good time to meet him.

"Glad that's over." Toru said as he sat down at one of the picnic tables before looking around. He was pretty exhausted most of the day had been cleaning up trash and there was some pretty stupid stuff that was thrown away or more or less ditched. Maybe he'd spend some time with some of the other people in other groups. "Hey, I'll be back in a bit alright guys?" He said to Ellen, Rednal and Yuno. With a nod he stood up walking over to Souji's group. He had been in the hospital for awhile and they were in the same class so it was only nice of him to say hi and stuff. "Hey Seta-san, glad to see you back and looking relatively well." He said approaching the group hoping he wasn't intruding.

It wasn't quite like waiting for the firing squad or the last few moments before committing a ritual suicide, he supposed, as his concentration on his doomed wait was interrupted by the arrival of others who had apparently spotted him from somewhere in the camp site and wanted to pay him a visit. He supposed it wasn't all that unusual, really, as word of his turning out to be the 'last victim of the Lockdown' and spending a month unconscious in the hospital had made him pretty famous throughout the school...well, more so than he had been already. His list of friends and acquaintances throughout the school was as extensive as anybody else you could likely name, and he had been told that his guest list during his stay in the hospital had been longer anyone else they had hosted in recent memory. Friends from clubs, class, friends of his uncle, and all around town had stopped by to check in on him during his long sleep. He wished he could thank them all properly for coming by to see him, but he supposed that he would just have to focus a little harder on spreading his attention in the future...if such a thing was possible. Oddly enough, the first to approach him was someone he was sure he had seen in passing more than once around school, but he wasn't someone that Soji could recall speaking with personally about anything all that memorable. Not something to be upset about, given the vast amount of people and conversations he had to memorize, but significant in that Soji had a pretty good memory for such things. But there was one way to identify him, and Jo(Shu) fortunately said something that made it fairly easy for him to figure out. Yumi had mentioned him, which meant that she had likely spoken to Jo(Shu) in or about the club (as that was the origin of his association with her). Which meant, given what he had heard in recent days about the club, it was most likely (not great odds, but still) that he was the play's new recruit since Neku went missing during the Lockdown.

"Was it the silver hair? Or the 'I just got out of a month-long coma' limp that gave me away?" the Senior joked faintly, though there was a smile of a very good nature on his lips as he looked up at his newest visitors, the Drama Club Play's newbie and then a moment later, Toru. He nearly chuckled at Toru's greeting...well, the others had told him he looked pretty good (especially compared to the whole not waking up thing he'd done for the last few weeks), but right now, he still felt a fair bit like the walking dead. Which meant, by his perception, he looked a fair bit like them too. Nothing for it, though. Just had to make do. ...Though with these people coming over at just the wrong time, he could only hope for their own sake they didn't plan to stick around for dinner. Last thing these two needed was to see him fall into another coma on the spot. "I feel better now than I did two days ago. And worlds better than after...the attack. Thanks for asking..."

Generally this was the part where one of them initiated a formal introduction. And then, once they had that out of the way, they could share some words and whatnot...yet even as they spoke his eyes couldn't help but flicker over towards the boiling pot of something being stirred up at the hands of the two girls in his group...which sent a nauseous tingling into the pits of his stomach. Part of him wanted to just yell 'Run! Run!' for their own sake. But well, that would have been rude to do. Then again, if that stuff made its way over here and they were roped into eating it, that would be murder. Tough choices...really tough. He could put it off a little longer, right?

"I'd love to say it was the silver hair, but the limp is much easier to spot." he joked lightly as he noticed Toru moving over towards them.
"We've never formally met, Seta-kun, have we?" he casually remarked. "I'm Jo(shu) Michieru. The latest Zombie for Romeo and Juliet 2, Juliet strikes back, and repeat senior of 3-3. Nice to meet you."

That should explain that enough. However, he didn't miss Souji's group that were cooking something.
He looked around, before leaning in.
"If something goes wrong, I've got some food I packed with me that I can share. My group isn't well known for their cooking skill either." he remarked as he gave an aside glance, before chuckling a bit.

Ah, such youth. Such fun times.

Minori Koroko

User Image

"Yeah, let's go!" The blond nodded to Haseo's suggestion, taking one last soda can and tossing it inside of her bag before returning her gaze to the now complete group. It was good to have Haseo and Mataki join; they had been able to pick up more trash than what they could have done on their own. And now, it all looked cleaner. She could actually see the green blades of grass without the dirty papers and glass... A tired but content sigh left the girl's lips, looking at the finished work. Well...at least it was something. "Hey, Ame...could you help me with dinner? I brought materials to make yakimeshi... It's not difficult to do, I promise." And well...she had cooked the white rice and stored it the day before, so all that was left to do was chop the vegetables and mix it all together. Easy. Even if she wasn't known for her skills in the kitchen, Minori wasn't all that bad...and wasn't known for making people who taste her cooking pass out, either. It was true that she usually just cooked for herself or for her brother before, but since...she started staying at the Dojima residence, she had to get some of her meals done by herself...especially this last month. And, well...she couldn't complain. Cooking wasn't all that bad, as some girls she knew tend to say. "We just need to cut the onions, mushrooms, carrots... It won't take long." she nodded to herself, going through the ingredients she had brought, and what would be needed for the fried rice being made, before returning her gaze to her dark haired friend, and then back to the two guys in the group. "We'll be going on ahead, okay?"

“…And this will be all.” She muttered, taking out all the necessary ingredients from the bag, having arrived to the camp and having washed her hands before (several times...even if there was soap and water...the trash they had picked up still making feel dirty). Vegetables, soy sauce, the rice…sadly no egg on this one, but…she couldn’t risk them getting cracked inside of the bag, and making all a mess. …It would be such a drag to clean up later. “Alright then…let’s begin.”

Yukiko Amagi

User Image

The orangey brown blob stared back at her from the pot, making the raven haired senior sigh, stirring it once more. The consistency of it wasn’t gooey as last year’s…neither did it look like it would jump at you at any moment and kill you with its tentacles were you stood. The aroma wasn’t all that bad either… and, at least that was something that made Yukiko feel just a little bit more confident than before. And maybe it was because this year they hadn’t added all kinds of different ingredients to the sauce, had actually read the necessary ingredients to make curry and followed instructions…or maybe it was because Chie had thought on ahead and brought it pre-cooked. It was a great idea, really...maybe it could be called cheating, buuuut… they wouldn’t be left senseless after taking the first bite…hopefully. And, well… it wouldn’t be the most natural thing…but…at least it would be edible, right? Even if the Amagi heiress passed all these notes inside of her mind, they hadn’t given her the guts to actually taste their creation, yet.

A small, almost inaudible groan left her lips, returning her gaze back to the recipe she had brought (yeah…it was better that way. It gave less chances of actually going wrong on this…), reading the next step that was needed. ‘Cook for 15 minutes stirring from time to time making sure nothing browns or burns’ Yukiko stirred the wooden spoon inside the curry sauce again, noting that the color was at least uniform, and that nothing had stuck itself at the bottom of the pot. …Well, nothing looked or smelled burned until now. That was something, right?

“What do you think, Chie?” the girl asked, dark eyes leaving the curry sauce and landing on her martial artist friend, passing the spoon over to her. “It…it doesn’t look that bad this time, huh?” A little nervous chuckle escaped her, trying to wash away the tense air of DOOM that hovered above the group (or maybe it was the vapor that rose from the curry) and that had gotten to her; but mostly, she was trying to dissipate the dreaded sense of déjà vu that filled her stomach. But then again…maybe she shouldn’t be this nervous. Chie looked calm, and they had brought a pre-cooked curry, for goodness sake! It couldn’t go wrong…It just…couldn’t. And, if it did…w-well, she was sure this year, someone might be kind-hearted enough to share some of their food with them.

Haseo nodded when Minori had agreed with his suggestion. He began to look around their area of the forest, and smiled. It was practically spotless now, not a single trace of garbage in sight. It was quite a sight to look at, he thought. The grass was swaying contently with the wind, as if thanking them for cleaning up all the trash. 'Job well done, I'd say.' Haseo thought, still smiling. He turned towards the blonde as she began to speak to her friend and listened to what they said. Hey, it wasn't eavesdropping or anything since she was practically saying it outload for him and Mataki to hear. "Yakimeshi eh? That sounds pretty good.' he thought, visualizing a bowl of the rice meal. He was about to offer to help, but the two girls had decided to go back ahead of them. Chuckling, he decided he'd offer it later instead, if it wasn't finished already by then. "So its just you and me now, eh Mataki?" he said, turning his head towards the Student Council President.
