"He used to have tons of girlfriends, it seemed like a new one every day, but he matured. I wish one boy would just like me, one, that's all, that's not too much to ask," Helena said, as if asking him if it was too much to ask.

Cody started to stare off into space again. "Sometimes boys feel like that, too. I guess it's not too much to ask... everyone has the right to love."

His gaze was set on a potted tree just past Helena, and it was frozen, not really looking at anything. "I do that sometimes, often when I look at other people, happy together like Jasmine and Zack, I feel that way."

He snapped back to reality, out of the realm of thought and sound. He looked over at Helena, seeming so sad. Without thinking, he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and snapped back, his face turning bright pink.
