Aila, after a slight struggle to stabilize her footing, hesitated only slightly in selecting a pokemon to best deal with the frenzied bat pokemon. There was her own Zubat, who would likely refuse to leave the vicinity until he had established his superiority over every other Zubat there (pass), her Mismagius, whose Perish Song could deal with the hoard in one fell swoop but would also affect all of her teammates' pokemon (pass), and her Pidgeotto who always seemed to positively leap at the opportunity to defend her (bingo). She seized the pokeball and pressed the release, the bird taking up a place beside her shoulder and assessing their surroundings.

"Gui, Whirlwhind," she said, gesturing to the bats. Even if she could only thin them out one at a time, it would be better than nothing.

Gui uttered an understanding "geotto" and positioned himself to face the Zubat immediately surrounding his human, beating his wings to produce a repulsing wind.

Zubat were Zubat were Zubat. They weren't really worth Kunai's attention. Not while they were sleeping and not when they were swarming in a panicked state. Their cries were grating against her nerves, but despite such, the short girl kept a very stern expression upon her face. No, it wasn't the Zubat that had caught her attention.

That tremor. She might have been skilled, but she was also human. Her body tensed as it aimed to steady itself, ignoring the Pokemon that swooped in close and occasionally bumped into her hat. It was almost like they were really trying to get tangled in her pink locks. It was when a grunt had a Pokemon use Whirlwind to repel the weaker wild Pokemon that the Elite lost the protection to her hair.

Her cap blew off, whipping towards the front of the group.

The sudden movement of the earth beneath his feet startled Damon, and for a brief moment he stumbled forward, nearly knocking into one of the others in front of him. He was saved by Badru stumbling around to the front of his legs and steadying him, pressing his warm body against the young grunt's shins.

It was a small miracle he didn't fall over, but as the Zubat began to swarm above his head, he had to wonder if he'd continue to be so lucky. One flew right above his head, and he did his best to knock it away without injuring it. He could feel Badru tensing against his leg, and he was quick to shoot the Pokemon a look.

"Don't try anything. Your only ranged attack would only make things worse," Damon said softly, crouching down to run a soothing hand along the Umbreon's back.

And it was right then that he heard a distinct groaning noise above his head, and he could practically feel the color drain from his face at the Elite's warning. He was quick to scrabble forward, ducking the Zubat and dragging Badru out of the way. A moment later, the ceiling had caved in, separating the group from both Elites. Well, things had just gone from bad to worse in his mind.

How were they supposed to get out of the volcano now? And for that matter, who was going to lead them through the tunnels?

In tandem with Seth's warning, Aila became aware of someone pushing her from behind - her Pidgeotto, who had taken a place as a human(-but-not) shield between the falling rocks and his trainer. "Don't endanger yourself needlessly," she murmured. It would be foolish if the bird were to injure himself so early into the mission.

She soon came to realize that the two elites were missing from the group, likely as a result of the fallen rocks. She paused, watching and waiting to see if they would be able to issue some kind of orders from the other side of the barrier. Although, she considered, that in itself seemed ridiculous. They knew what the objective was. Did they really need to rely on the elites for their every move? In fact, wouldn't their search be made more effective by splitting into groups? Even so, she doubted that Seth or Kunai would approve of any one of the Rockets leaving without some word to do so (assuming they would be able to hear said word from beyond the stones), so she continued watching and waiting.

There was Chaos for a moment, Zubat flying all around and screeching in fright, the Agents and grunts stuck in a very awkward position where simply touching the ground was painful.
staying upright was difficult due to the another rumbling that filled the cave they were in.
Looking up was difficult, even then there wasn't much she could see through the cloud of Zubat.
She made out a yell, sounded like it was from Elite Seth, loud cracking and overwhelming crumbling.

Faleen felt a few rocks bounce up, hitting her in the back and legs. she staggered back, throwing her arms up over her face to protect it.

Finally, a certain level of quiet was regained, Zubat scattered all over the floor from attacks that had hit them, a few still flying around panicked and lost, but she payed no more mind to them. Wide Hazel eyes had instead found the wall of lava rocks now blocking the way they had come.
"... Oh dear"
A quick look around and Faleen found that two missing... were the Elite.
they... hadn't been buried had they?

Faleen stared at the wall for a moment, she took a step forward but had to back up when her lungs stung from the air and smell. covering her mouth and nose with her arm.
"Sir? Seth Sir?" she called, unknowing if there would be a response, or if they would even be alive. Surely they had to be... they had to, they knew what they were doing.
She fell quiet while Nyx yelled, breathing in the shaken up dust was quite unpleasant, she listened closely, hoping for a response.
Her arms and hands were stinging, looking down she saw that her gloves had been ripped, and small cuts were over the skin that was visible.
She was really growing to despise this place.

So... here they were, the exit blocked, with the volcano shaking and rumbling like its ready to spew, with the Elite missing... this was certainly a troubling situation.

Nikki looked up at the shout, her eyes going wide when the ceiling caved in. She too ran over to the pile once it had settled, listening for any sign that the elites might be okay.

Seth had tripped and landed on his back in his effort to get out of the way, a nice rip in the back of his shirt now present as he picked himself up. The sight of Kunai with a rock hovering over her, greeting his vision. She was okay, and that's what mattered.

Moving to the rock wall, Seth cursed again as he surveyed it, with Pele standing behind him. There was no way they would be able to get through this. But he could hear muffled voices on the other side, thus he responded with his own shout.

"We're fine! Keep going! Kunai and I will have to take the long route, we'll meet you inside the volcano!"

Faleen couldn't help but let out a sharp breath of relief when she heard a muffled voice from the other side of the rock wall, it sounded like Seth's, saying they were both okay. "They're okay" she spoke, mostly to herself.

"And now we know there is another way out." she mentioned with relief, her shoulders relaxing after hearing the rest of his order.
"Yes Sir!" she called back to the wall, to help confirm that they got and understood his order.
She looked to the two Agent closest to her, Nikki and Nyx, also standing by the wall. the Agents would be in charge now tunill the Elite met up with them again.
Once Nyx spoke to the group she looked over to her Umbreon, who was standing back, wide eyed and ears perked.
She moved over to him, getting a move on like Agent Nyx had said.
