She watched as the blankets were dropped and sighed, getting down to sort through them. Junko was quick about it, not out of any kind of skill but more her desire to get this done quickly and get out of here and some of these blankets made her want to vomit. There was a point where Junko had to paused and inhale deeply, pursing her lips and looking away. One of these blankets was particularly disgusting...it needed bleach and lots of it. "The less dirty ones don't need to be bleached. Save the room for...th..those." Junko lifted an arm to bury the lower half of her face in the crook of her elbow, coughing a bit. Ugh. Gross. Her other hand pointed at the crusty and disgusting blankets. They would need all the room they could get with those things!
Junko sniffed and looked away from the grossness, spotting Red come up behind Calder like the wind and stop him from...whatever he was doing to that demon ghoul...oh dear.

Lizzy was initially glad and relieved that it was Calder who had offered to help; she remembered him as being the one who was well-versed in romantic poetry. In fact, he had left a rather good impression on her despite the fact that she had not having talked to him much. However, as enchanting as he was up close (that beautiful hair!), every part of Lizzy's body could sense that there was something off.
A part of her Demon self wanted to slice a good part of Calder off as she felt threatened all of a sudden, but the other part of her just wanted to hop off the step ladder to avoid potential conflict... He really was giving off weird vibes, and it made her uncomfortable. However, it was all too late to do anything - she felt herself being pushed forward, into the cauldron of foul smelling bleach. Using all her energy, she resisted, pushing herself backwards by pushing against the cauldron.
"NO WAIT, I CAN'T SWIM. HELPPP." She yelled, planting her feet firmly on the ladder; her face was directly staring at the bleach and blankets in the cauldron now... Who knew a slender looking boil like Calder could be so strong?!
Red's voice caused Lizzy to relax a bit, but she didn't stop pushing back, just in case the professor couldn't stop the Kelpi who was clearly trying to drown her. What did she ever do to him?

The smell didn't seem to effect him- perhaps after years of only being able to breath through his nose while performing his menial chores for his Creator, he had grown immune to it. Lizzy's shout had attracted the hunchback's attention too, eyes wide as he strode forward- what did that little boi-ghou- his head ached and he settled for HORSE THING think he was doing to his associate?? His and Lizzy's relationship were tentative at best, but Christmas did bring people together, and he was prepared to heave the kelpie into the vat himself if he was going to try anything to the pink haired Ghoul.

Coralie hadn't been too adverse to going to detention. When they showed up at the laundry room she had been a bit surprised. Well, she supposed she couldn't complain, as it was uh...interesting. She had certainly never seen it before. Looking around, though, she was hoping for a little more hazardous activities than putting nasty blankets into giant cauldrons, but...it was better than sitting and staring at a wall. That would have been true detention in her opinion. Watching the other students was the most interesting part, though, especially when they panicked or made odd expressions. She smiled to herself as she took a few blankets, watching everyone carefully. Could have been worse.

It was a release. There was something deeply rewarding in drowning someone. While some creatures liked tearing things to shreds or digging their claws in flesh, Calder loved the feeling of someone being held under water underneath his fingers or, if he was in another form, dragging them down with his teeth. Someone about preventing someone to have air was thrilling, and he often liked the idea of having someone come back for air only to do it again. He had only ever done so with relatives – by accident mind you though his parents were never pleased – and with small animals. Bigger prey. Oh, he wanted to do that.
Sadly, someone got in his way, and just before he submerged Lizzy, he was held by Red. His ears flatted back and his eyes turned sharp, narrowing as he looked up at the teacher. First off, she was behind him. he never liked people getting behind him. Secondly, he didn't WANT to stop.
He started to hike up a hoof. It was very reasonable to assume that Calder wasn't thinking clearly if at all – and the threat of authority wasn't sinking in deep enough. It could be a number of reasons why. First off, he never had to be around other kids his age that were not underwater breathers and could easily get harmed if they were thrown in vats of water – especially one full of bleach water. He'd gotten in trouble for it before. His parents often yelled at him for pushing his aunt or a grandmother in water when he was home, but he couldn't HELP it! It was also why he was in school.
What did that mean for a kelpie who couldn't keep this under control? It meant going against their pride of being wild and free and passing their reigns to someone who COULD keep them in check.
Of course, Calder wasn't thinking about that, but how much he wanted Red to back off and leave him be. He was having fun right now and he didn't need HER coming by and messing things up. He probably could have stopped, if he tried really, really, REALLY hard, but Lizzy's screaming that she couldn't swim only made him want to smile. OH! That was the best type of thing to drown!!
And so, against all reason and all thoughts at self preservation, he hiked up a leg and kicked back! Looking back at it, if Calder survived to look back at it, he would see that this had been a VERY STUPID IDEA!!!!

She hadn't even been able to begin sleeping in the office when they were led to the laundry room. Most of the time Colette had, she used to observe the image on the back of her hand. You know, the one that she had no clue what it was for because Barth hadn't explained before leaving to guidance. Colette had made a mental note to ask him about it later, she would not forget. Should couldn't with that thing on her hand away.
Colette reluctantly followed only to arrive when most, if not all, of the cauldrons were already taken for stirring. It probably wasn't the task that required the least amount of labor, but at least you didn't have to touch any of the crusty and disgusting blankets nor the sopping wet and probably hot ones.
The Reaper sighed and rubbed her eyes, trying to stay awake. "Ugh.."
Leaving and going to sleep sounded really good to the tired reaper right about now, and Colette eyed the door. Should she?.. It's not like she belonged here in the first place. There seemed to be a problem with another student too, maybe she could slip out unnoticed..
Colette inched towards the door with her eyes on the professor, hoping Calder - who now seemed a tad crazy - was enough of a distraction for Red. Sadly, she hadn't taken into account the gnomes that lurked near, and they promptly blocked the door from the ghoul.
She looked and them and fidgeted before turning right around and heading to face her doom. "Right.."

It didn't seem like many were doing the actual job of sorting and lugging it into the cauldrons, which had to be the main job. It would take more time with just three people, but... least it was getting started truly. He was well aware who the two students were; he recognized them from Truth or Dare and some classes. Junko and Christof. If he could breath without gagging from the horrid stench was getting kicked up from moving the blankets, he had the same thoughts in mind for which needed to be put into what cauldron and sorting was rather easy.
Piling a good portion of it together, he had been lifting it up when he heard Lizzy shout for assistance. His head snapped up quickly and he looked for her quickly; if she was in danger, then he had to help her! He couldn't let anything happen to her! Seeing that it was from another students, he felt angry. Why would another student want to harm her?? The blankets were forgotten as they dropped from his hands and he was moving to help her when he noticed that Red was there already, looking rather pissed off indeed. He was relieved that she had gone to stop him from hurting Lizzy, but he couldn't help going to her side to check up on her. "Lizzy??" Reaching out, he took hold of her hand to help her get her balance and not get shoved in any further.

It was the smell, the feeling and the appearances combined that were making Junko uncomfortable. Her hair wriggled and twitched, trying desperately to free itself from Yaya's handiwork. Stupid braid! Stupid stupid stupid! But if Christof was willing to help her she could regain her composure! It was about then that Lizzy screamed and Junko's hands flew to her mouth. Was Calder trying to drown her!? And then the idiot tried to kick Red.
That fool! "Calder! No!" She called out even if this cry was falling upon deaf ears. Why was he challenging Red to a fight?! He was already in detention! And she threatened expulsion! Idiot!

The hunchback was momentarily deterred when the Demon beat him to Lizzy's side, but at least she was covered- that meant his attention could be locked on the white-haired student that had threatened to dunk her in the hot bleach. Thank goodness it seemed a professor had gotten there first! He waited beside the greed demon's side, eyes locked on the Kelpi, positively burning with fury with his fists clenched to prove it. And then he- he tried to KICK the older ghoul in red! Christof was baffled, finally reaching up to grab Calder by the jacket and hold him tight if Red so commanded.

Riley had been quietly, unobtrusively, hanging up the laundry that had been cleaned. She flattened the sheets out with her hands, enjoying the feel of dripping water slipping through her fingertips when she pressed against the folds of cloth. She seemed well adjusted to her job, and not at all upset that she was doing it.
Most of all, she seemed to be pleasantly ignoring the entire spectacle that was occurring in the cauldrons just below. She heard the noise, and she even saw Calder try to dunk a student in, but somehow she retained a somber sense of calm.
It was only when she caught a glimpse of Calder trying to attack a faculty member that her interest was finally captured, and she stopped in mid-movement as she picked up a wet blanket.
She didn't know Calder, but suddenly she thought she wanted to. She made a mental note to introduce herself later - if he lived.

Lucien didn't remember much about the night at Truth or Dare. He remembered only a few things about that chaotic time, although he wouldn't really consider it as chaotic as another student might. He remembered people trying to suffocate others with their mouths, and he remembered Israfel grabbing him and running -- although he had never been sure as to why. After that though, he didn't know why he suddenly had detention, and barely knew what detention was at that. He just knew it was a place he had to go.
Well, the air spirit had gone to detention but it seemed horrible. Not only did he not see Israfel but there were gnomes, everywhere, and everything was so dirty. It might have been the dirt, it might have been that he didn't see Israfel, but it was probably just that he didn't know he was supposed to stay here, let alone do anything that caused the boil to do what he did next. He tried to walk out of the laundry room only to be stopped by the thing Lucien hated almost as much as reindeer: gnomes.
They didn't need to stop him, seeing them made the boil fly over to a large pile of dirty things and hide in it. After a moment passed, the boil came out with a large blanket over top of him. Ah ha! Now the gnomes couldn't see him! Better yet, he couldn't see them. With that out of mind, the boil proceeded to move the blanket and himself to a cauldron.

Lilith was not pleased, although it was hard as not only was her face expressing the same not pleased expression it usually did. Not only did she not get to take her sloth demon somewhere more cozy, but her shield was easily bypassed by a shadow and she was thrown into a pile of students. She did not agree with touching people that were not approved and she did not agree with her current situation. Why would she have to touch these filthy blankets? It certainly wasn't HER job to do it. It was the job of someone below her, literally. It was the gnome's job.
It didn't take long before Lilith tried to just casually leave like she didn't have to be here but those gnomes REALLY didn't want to work and caught her right away. She stepped away from them before they could try and stop her, and she thought of a new way to avoid touching things that were not demons or follyjoxes, making a note that follyjox pee on blankets did not count as something she was going to touch. With haste, she looked for professor Red and said, "I don't see why I have to be here," she announced. "I didn't do anything. If you're going to punish someone who didn't do anything wrong, shouldn't you be doing laundry too?"

With a slight nod and a pleased smile, Raziel replied, "It's nice to meet you too Amrita." He continued stirring, hoping to keep the conversation going since it was the only thing that wasn't boring and repetitive about their detention task.
"Yea, I had just gotten there not very long before Hellma and Red showed up. Wish I had gotten there earlier, then I would've at least had some more fun!" He let out a small laugh at this, pausing afterward for a moment to get back into the rhythm of stirring.
Raziel looked up in time with Lizzy's plea for help reaching the clothes at the bottom of her cauldron. Being one of the shorter boils in the room, Raziel couldn't really do much else but watch. It didn't take long before Calder showed up next to her offering assistance. It was funny how helpful he suddenly was trying to be... and what was with that vague look in his eyes?
Suddenly Lizzy was screaming for help while Calder was attempting to drown her. Raziel stopped stirring his cauldron for a split second, unsure what to do when Red arrived behind Calder. Deciding that it was best for him not to intervene, Raziel got back to stirring.

Carthusia attempted not to gag. Laundry? Seriously? She sighed, walking next to Livius and crossed her arms. This was detention and they didn't have much choice in being here. It was either this, or try to book it out, but Pride knew how well that had gone from the previous night. She frowned and watched what everyone else was doing. The Asian girl seemed to be folding laundry and as much as she didn't want to, Carthusia was about to ask what she needed to do in order to survive and leave this place. However, this was stopped short due to Calder being an utter moron - he was the romance guru! What was he doing? Trying to break free to see his love or something? She shook her head at him and did her best to ignore him. Maybe if it looked like she didn't know the guy, she'd get off a little easier.
"So umm... what needs to be done?"

Gargantuan was not having a good time.
Tears were still rolling down the swamp monster's face, and he didn't even bother to try and escape. Not this time, anyway. Last time, the little gnomes with the pokey things... they hadn't been nice. It smelled bad in here, just as bad as the Other Bathroom, and he had been gingerly picking up blankets to dump them in cauldrens.
Then things went to hell, and Calder started trying to drown Lizzy!
Dropping the blankets with alarm, Gargantuan would quickly sidle himself over to whoever seemed comforting, and was instead hiding behind Riley. Yaya would have been a good choice, too, but Riley was closer, and the swamp beast whined low in his throat.
Detentions made everyone crazy! That was why they were evil! ;_;
