"Ceberus? Nah. He's harmless. Just looks menacing. Isn't that right, Ceberus?" He laughed a full-hearted laugh as the dog's three heads took turns attacking him with kisses. "He'll lick you to death, though."

"I... I've never been around a dog before. He's... kind of scary. H... hi cerberus."

Ceberus looked at John, and went over to him. His ears were perked and he rubbed his heads softly against the boy, his tail wagging.

John laughed and started to pet Cerberus. "he is nice. I've never had a dog before. Can Cerberus sleep with me in my room?"

"As long as you keep your door open a bit so he can leave as he pleases. He gets grumpy if he's locked in one place." Lucifer held out his arm and his door opened. "Your chambers are right across from mine. Makes it easier to get to you if anything happens."

"Ok sir I will. Thank you. Come on Cerberus." He then went into his own room, leaving the door open a crack as he laid down on his bed.

Lucifer smiled. It was a genuine smile, too. Softly chuckling, he turned on his side and closed his eyes. At least John was starting to feel comfortable. As long as he never went outside, living here can be just like living on Earth.

John had cerberus on the bed next to him and had his arm around the dog as he slept, but he was restless and soon started having nightmares of the night when his parents where killed. he was soon tossing and turning and moaning in his sleep. Him and Damian had seen the guy kill their parents even though no one knew that but them. He had hoped Cerberus would keep the nightmares away but it didn't work.

Ceberus, having the ability to control nightmares as long as the being was in Hell, looked at John and growled softly, all six eyes seeming to shine as he replaced the nightmare with a nice dream. It was really a memory. Of when Lucifer was a child in Heaven. Running through the fields and laughing with the other children that would eventually be his sworn enemies.

John calmed down and smiled as his nightmare was taken away and a nice dream was in it's place.

((time skip to morning))
Lucifer awoke and groaned. He hated waking up to the sound of Harika's knock. He got up and opened his door. "I know. Thank you, Harika. Make sure John gets his breakfast, and tell him that I'll be in after my morning duties." He watched Harika leave, and Lucifer went outside to wear the souls were awaiting judgement.

John woke up and smiled over at Cerberus. "It was you wasn't it? You changed my bad dream to a good one. Thank you Cerberus." He then gave the dog a kiss on top of each of his heads then glanced towards the door as harika entered.

Harika bowed to John. "His Majesty has requested I take you to breakfast. Please, follow me." He looked at Ceberus as the dog trotted out of the mansion.

Harika led John to the dining room. The table was long, with about a hundred seats at it. Not that they ever had that many guests. "Take a seat anywhere. Kantaro will bring your food shortly." Harika left the dining room, seeing a few new servant girls watching John. "Get to work, you useless children! Do not make me punish you!" He watched as they scurried to work, and headed to the servants' quarters.
