((It's not bad Kyoko, don't worry! No one is at their best at 3 AM anyway, far as I know... anyway, have fun <3!))
Jou frowned a little. Did the boy not notice the cold, or the area that he was in? There could be people a lot worse than Jounouchi wandering around in those parts, yet the boy didn't really seem to mind. In fact, ut looked like he might have even been afraid of the blond, to an extent... which he was used to, but only from certain people.
"... You're not gonna be so fine when it gets even colder, and that cat has your only jacket." He folded his arms up over his chest, keeping his eyes on the boy's face, even as the boy decided that he didn't want to look at Jou's. "I have place you can stay... there's a lot of us, you'll be safe there, promise. Warmer too, though don't expect any kind of heater or anythin' too fancy like that." He held out a hand for the stranger to take. "My name is Jounouchi."

Ryou continued to look at his feet as the blonde boy talked, hugging the cat closer each minute. He wasn't used to people talking to him, even back home. Here they just ignored him or gave him looks of disgust. Finally he looked up, this time his gaze staying on the boy's face.
Jounouchi...He nodded slightly and took his hand with some kind of confusion. He wasn't used to hand shaking either. So with a quick and very slight down motion he let go, figuring the boy wanted him to shake his hand.
"I'm Ryou..." he said slowly and continued to look at him. "If you don't mind...that would be...nice." For a minute he smiled politely. "I think he might be getting sick." He wasn't even worried about the fact that he could be getting sick as well.

"Hai.." Yuugi replied. Yet, with his mouth stuffed full of candies, it sounded more like 'Hoi..' with all the candies in his mouth.
When he had swallowed, he was all grins, "Thank you for the candy, Bakura." He would thank Bakura again and again.
"I wonder where Yami went.." He muttered, then shrugged. Yami was mysterious like that. There one day, then gone the next.
It was just how Yami worked and ticked.

"Whatever, it's no big deal. I can always steal some more." Bakura replied as he yawned a bit. At the mention of Yami's name he smirked to himself. "He still around too? Shouldn't he be at the red light district? Way he dresses in all..." Bakura snickered at his joke.
It was common knowledge that Bakura made rude comments about almost everyone living at the Squat, but Yami was his favorite target. Every once in awhile Bakura would go too far and words turned into physical blows. Nothing too serious, just a few busted lips and black eyes. If you asked Bakura it just made life more interesting

"Don't be so mean to him. He tries his best." Yuugi would rather Bakura and Yami not fight. He hated fighting of all kinds, especially when it involved Bakura.
If there were people he cared about most -- even beyond friendship -- it was Bakura and Jou. Yami was cool, too; Yuugi cared about him; but that hadn't gone past friendship.
"I don't want you to get hurt." Yuugi said, he wouldn't eat another bag of treats, just one was enough. Besides, he wanted Bakura to have the rest, so he pushed them towards Bakura.

Bakura laughed louder this time. "Me get hurt? From him? Tch, as if that would ever happen. If he wants to fight me, let him. I'll knock him flat on his a**."
When Yugi pushed the bags back toward him Bakura shook his head. "Nay, it's okay. Like I said I can always steal more. Plus, you're too skinny as it is."

Yuugi gave Bakura the classic, innocent look, wide and bleary eyed.
"I couldn't keep them, Bakura. They're yours." He scooted a little closer, "I couldn't take anything from you." A small smile, then a small indication that he wanted to cuddle.
Yuugi was needy like that.

Bakura rose an eyebrow as Yugi scooted closer too him. "You're not taking them, I'm giving them to you shorty. If you don't eat enough you'll get sick and it's not like we can get you a doctor."
When Yugi got too close Bakura scooted a bit away. "What's up shorty? You cold or something? I might have another coat you can use."

Yuugi sighed, "Bakura... Nevermind.. I'm not cold.." He felt rejected, or maybe Bakura didn't know any better.
"Thanks for offering the coat, anyway.." He smiled again, the best one he could.
"I won't need a doctor. I eat fine enough."

Bakura gave Yugi an odd look, but shrugged. "Okay, whatever shorty. If you change your mind let me know."
The silence went on for a few mintues before Bakura looked over and saw the small pout on Yugi's face. "What's with the face? Something bothering you? And don't say it's nothing because you suck at lying Yugi."
Bakura wasn't one to ask people about there feelings since most of the time people at the Squat kept to themselves, but Yugi was something different.

Jou smiled, glad that his invite had been accepted. The smile quickly turned into a frown though when Ryou mentioned getting sick. "Nice ta' meet you, Ryou. Now, c'mon. We definately need to get you under some cover now." He quickly slipped his own worn jacket off and held it out towards the shy white-haired boy. The jacket looked pretty scuffed up and dirty, but not grimy-dirty. Just dark swatches of color from previous encounters with dirt and things. But hey, it was warm.
"Here. I'll hold your cat while you put this on. Then we'll go to the squat. It's not too far from here... and, well, not too fancy either, but it's better than nothin'."

"Okay. If I change my mind, I'll tell you."
He sat back for a moment and was startled by Bakura's question.
"Well, it's something I can't tell you, Bakura, if you want to be honest." He shifted uneasily, "It's something I have to deal with by myself, okay? I'll tell you if you can help." He smiled, trying to cheer himself up again. He didn't want to be angry or cross or sad for the rest of the night.

Bakura watched Yugi carefuly before nodding slowly. "Okay then. If that's what you want then deal." He looked up at the ceiling and sighed. "Whatever it is, it can't be too bad. I guess that's the one good thing about living like we do, don't got much to lose huh? So don't worry too much shorty."
He continued to gaze at the ceiling as he spoke. "Don't tell anyone this, I don't want them to think I'm going soft or anything. And if that happens I might have to break a few of their heads to put them back in place."

"Don't tell anyone what?" Yuugi was whispering, as if he shouldn't let anyone else hear the conversation between them.
"What is it?" He was curious. Ever curious. He always wanted to know. Always always always.
"You don't have a ktiten, do you? I like kitties. They're so cute." A smile. A sincere, soft smile.

Bakura couldn't help but smirk at Yugi, he was such a child sometimes. "No I don't have a kitten. Where would I keep it anyways?"
He closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh. "I miss you guys when I'm gone, that's what I wanted to say. I know you all get this vibe that I couldn't give a damn and yeah in some ways I don't, but I do miss you when I'm out there."
Bakura opened his eyes and looked at Yugi once more. "Don't tell anyone I said that or else I'll take off for another four months."
