Skan watched the young male approach him, his black mane beginning to grow in. Skan remembered that awkward time, and commended the bravery it must take for one so young to find themselves a new home, alone.
He was a little surprised at the offering, but everything that came from the body grew back. He nodded when the young male offered them, and lightly set them down in the smoldering pile. It was going to need a little more grass soon to keep it going. The glow that it emitted seemed brighter, as the sun had begun her setting and the world around them glowed in different colours. Soon the only light would be from the few sun's rays left, and after that, the moon.
"Kaleth, one so young must have been through much to come to our lands. I hope that you find what you are looking for in the Bird Clan, for that is where your future lies."

"Earth clan..." Aberash said softly to herself then smiled happily. She had found a home of her own now. She gave Skan a bow after she moved back to her place around the ceremony. Watching the other lions find their place made her happy to see others find their home.

Life had a way of showing you things that you didn't know existed, that you didn't know could change you. Jiwekali had gone through much strife throughout his life. He'd lost a mate, his cubs -- Jiwekali did not know what happened to them. He'd left to aid a friend with a troublesome pack of hyenas and when he'd returned home his mate and his cubs had been gone. He didn't know where they'd gone and he searched for days and days with no luck.
Lost, he wandered alone and emotionless. He'd have wandered to the death if he hadn't met his dear friend Pia. She'd saved him and together they'd wandered. Jiwekali would do anything for Pia. Like her, he yearned for a place to call home.
Now, as he approached Skan Kanati, Jiwekali couldn't help but feel completely at peace. With Pia's help he'd come to terms with his losses, and he'd healed. Now was the time to start anew, and Jiwekali's heart felt as if it might burst.
As others had done before him, Jiwekali offered a tuft of his hair to Skan Kanati. He was finally home and for the first time in a long time, Jiwekali felt complete.

Today, Tivoli had a certain bounce in her step. She was usually in a good mood, with a grin always spread across her maw, but today, there was an added sparkle coming from her green eyes. She had been ready extra-early today, and was just waiting for Kaito to join her on the walk to where the others would be.
Seeing him emerge, her heart skipped a beat. Her smile grew even sweeter as she looked at him, and she grew even more excited about the coming events of the day. "Are you ready?" Taking in a deep breath, she pressed her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes briefly as she tried to mentally prepare. It was easier with him here, by her side, but it was still a big change. She had been so used to being by herself, free out in the world. But when Kaito came along....well, everything shifted. Her world was now melded with his, and she really loved feeling like a cub again, with all these new things around her.
Taking each step at a time, Tivoli could now see the others that had gathered. She was so nervous, and could tell that they were next. She stepped forward, giving a kind smile to the pale lion. She found herself lost in his tattoos, each intricate marking leading right into the next.
"I, um....suppose that this is closest to myself." Since Tivoli never really carried any objects with her, she swept her tail around, quickly pulling out a small cluster of hair. Staring at it for a few moments, she assumed it was something that most of the others had offered. Glancing back at Kaito, she handed the cluster over, knowing that their fate was about to be determined.

Kaito watched his mate with anticipation, her bouncing form is what he woke to every day and slept with every night, she was a happy bubble of fluff that enjoyed partaking in traveling in search of a home, a place where they could really settle down. They seemed to have found it, it was calm, a little crowded due to a ceremony and he founf himself in a line with Tivoli. Eying the pale lion before them he tensed then relaxed. He had not heard her words til she was giving her offering /are yo ready?/ he smiled as they hit him in his faded mind set. Kaito found himself zoned out again, he was tired.. it was a long couple days, her stories, her excitement.. it was like a holiday he didn't know about all his life then suddenly it was something to celebrate! "I'm ready..." He whispers under his breath to her, his lips squishing together in a stern, strong male look. His eye's played away with his personality though, takig on a calm cool and relaxed effect. He almost looked like a cub trying to step into an adults paws. "I offer my mane." He says softly to the pale male, he had been breached that when he joined he would not really have a place chosen to his own, wherever Tivoli landed is where he would be placed. He didn't care all to much, Tivoliv was his life, his why of being here and his future. He smiled at this after offering his bit of mane to the male purely out of respect if anything. It was then that he gazed at Tivoli and let his eye's find hers and lock in joy. Home was found.

((since it sounds like they're not officially together ICly yet (if I'm assuming right...), I'm going to roll for Pia, and just stick Jiwekali in the same clan))
Skan felt the warmth of the sun fade as a new lioness approached him. He nodded to her, taking the whisker with a bit of bemusement. It was interesting, seeing what one offered. Making it something painful, something easy. Something that meant a lot, and something that perhaps didn't. Something that would be gone forever, and something that would regrow. He could tell, sometimes, when someone dropped an object in his paw, watching it burn as they burned their old life away and became a part of the Ela'wadiyi. Those that could loosely be called a pride, clans gathered together for the sake of survival and tradition.
"Pia," he said, glancing up at her as he watched her whisker melt and fold from the heat the pile emitted. "You've surely been through much in your life, as you've decided to being the first night of the rest of your life here with us. You will find open arms within the Wolf Clan for that life to start."

((Gah-- Sorry Saf! I checked before and it said it was open and I hoped to catch you before it closed but obviously I took too long in writing D8 ))
This was it.
The Tapir-marked male breathed deeply from out of his nostrils.Ronjo swallowed. His eyes were drawn to the dancing flame, watching as they licked at the previous offering quickly until they had all but been transformed into kindling embers. Its plume of smoke whipped about within the air, searching for the next token to be received-- for the next destiny to be bestowed. Calmly, Ronjo exhaled from out of his nostrils and redirected his gaze down toward his front paws where a delicate, albeit slightly weathered, flower sat. Its fragrance was sweet, aromatic with a calming scent. The lion was one whose knowledge of remedies were vast and methods were passed down; an art which remained very much alive and sustained through the works of dedicated individuals.
Like those before him, Ronjo had felt he had been lead to these lands to seek that which was to be understood. What was to be learned remained an answer which only would be answered in time. Gingerly, the male leaned his head down and gently grabbed around the stem of the flower with his maw-- holding it between his teeth with up-most care.
It was time.
Ronjo stepped forward. His head lowered, recognizing the leadership and authority which the one before him held. The males display of respect was genuine-- although he knew not of Skan personally it was if that there was a warmth that encircled him, an aura that was radiant. Ronjo delicately dropped the flower onto the ground and drew his head upward until his eyes met those of the Ela leader.
"My name is Ronjo," he announced, "and I am here to understand the mysteries that these lands hold. I have been told that curious minds often find the greatest of truths here."

Heavens, as Caelyndei glanced at the semicircle of lions that surrounded her she was startled by just how many strangers had come seeking a home in the Ela'wadiyi pride, their faces a sea of mixed emotions. Some were harrowed from their long journey. Others were filled with a confidence and calm acceptance of their fate that the young female envied. All were hopeful that the Wanidatsi would find their offerings satisfactory and lead them to their proper place within the pride. Caely hoped as well that they all found whatever it was they had been searching for that had brought them to this moment. Finding that the optimism that blossomed in her chest for those around her helped to quiet the twisting of stomach as it tangled in knots, unconsciously fidgeting her weight from one haunch to the other.
In typical fashion of the timid, little lioness her earthen brown frame was set back just behind the rest of the group awaiting their turn in the circle. Whether or not there was a particular order that was expected to be followed Caely wasn't sure, each participant moved forward with purpose in their stride, but there didn't appear to be any formal indication. No nod. No beckon. No nothing. It left her feeling uncertain, how would she know when it was her turn? That question answered itself.
Once all the rest have found their place. Only then should she step forward, because it was Caelyndei's prerogative never to impede the path of another a feat she felt could only be accomplished by putting herself behind everyone else.
[ Just an initial post to get the ball rolling for Caely. I'll post her offering post once it seems like everyone else has been placed. x3 ]

Skan nodded as he let the two lovebirds do what lovebirds did best. He supressed a smile as he made sure to let the bits of their hair blend together; it was obvious that they were committed to one another, and as such their futures would be determined together. There was no other way to do it, and the reading should be as clear as day. Even if night was fast approaching.
The hair caught quickly, and disappeared within the once-again growing fire. He smiled as he glanced upwards at them, looking at each other, obviously forgetting about the world around them. Really, just like little young ones in love.
Clearing his throat to get their attention, he proceeded with what he had Seen. "Tivoli. Kaito. Your futures are bright and clear, and it is with pride that I announce that you are new members to the Wolf Clan. Welcome home."
((It is aaaall cool, I will take you both if you wish XD))

Skan's ears perked forward as the next lion approached. He seemed a little excited, and apprehensive perhaps. Skan couldn't blame him, as it was a big step. One might not always know what the heart wants until it is presented to them openly. Skan only hoped that he wouldn't disappoint anyone - it was a strong worry with him.
Still, things must move on. He nodded to the male, gathering up the bit of hair that was offered. He let himself brush at the fire, making sure that it wasn't getting too greedy with its bundle of kindle, but also make sure that it wouldn't grow too small. It was now the strongest light source around them, and it was important (in a personal sort of way) for Skan to see the face of the lion that stood before him.
Letting the hair drop within the flames, Skan was a little bemused at how simple this reading was. Perhaps issues were as simple as they looked.
"Jiwekali. You've found your new home here, even if it may have taken you a bit to decide on this. Go with the Wolf Clan, for that is where your future waits for you, whether you see it or not."
((I should also mention that when the thread is closed, no new lions with offerings needing placement may post, but if anyone wants to make replies to their placements and whatnot, that is completely allowed))

Skan exhaled as the last lion had stepped away, glancing towards his father-who-was-not. Tawa'di only seemed amused with how the ceremony was going. Skan wished for more reassurance, but had to remind himself that his father would step in if there was an error in his ways. Except...being reborn, Tawa'di no longer had the Sight. He would only be able to see if part of the ceremony carried an error. Not if what Skan had Seen in the fire and smoke was correct or not. How did the wanidatsi before him, those that weren't seers, know that what they were doing was correct?
It was a question that he knew could not be answered. Still, it calmed him a bit. Tawa'di had been faithful to the teachings and traditions, and Skan had been raised in the midst of them. There was no need to question them.
He glanced up towards the new lion that approached, just in time to see the flower drift down to rest on the soft earth around the ceremonial fire. He glanced upwards, and smile. "I hope your mind will become satiated." He lifted the flower above the heat, feeling the waves of the warmth encircle his paw until he let the flower go, withdrawing his paw to safety. It seemed to wither before it hit the flames, and the fire licked it up neatly, as if it expected the treat.
Skan was intrigued, and glanced upwards back at the lion before him. "It seems that your offering is guiding you towards the Bird Clan. I shall find you at a late date and see if your desires have been fulfilled."
((*facepalm* I just understood what you meant, Neon, sooo sounds good! XD))

She had been the odd one out her whole life, not the odd one out personality wise, she was never less loved but her coat had singled her out amongst her siblings, she alone looked like her mother, her other siblings all looked like her father.
Not that that mattered though, she had been loved and because of that love she had grown up loving. She adored everyone and she would bend over backwards to do anything for he, or she, whom needed it.
Her soft banana coloured coat shimmered with youth, she was about to sacrifice a feather which she loved dearly, a feather which belonged to her father, she owned but a paw full of them and she knew that this most precious of her possessions was worth giving up for her place amongst these wonderful people.
Magdiel approached the fire and dropped the long dazzling blue feather, that shimmered like the night sky before Skan. "Greetings sir." She whispers bowing her head "I hope this feather is a worthy offering." She smiles, excited that she would find a home here.

Kaleth bowed deeply in thanks to the seer. He wished momentarily that he knew a little more about the clans, so that he'd know if there was significance to which had been chosen for him, but he dismissed that as unimportant. He'd learn, and that was all that mattered. Now was the time for discovery and learning his place in this world, in this pride, and in this clan.
He stepped back a few paces, then turned and scanned those watching mingled with those waiting, hoping to catch sight of Tsili, the one who'd brought him here. Though he didn't see her, he did catch a glimpse of someone that made him double-take. Was that... no, it couldn't be. He scurried over to where others who had been accepted were gathering, peering the whole way at that green bit of fur visible in the crowd. Surely he was mistaken!
But then the bodies shifted, and there he was. It was indeed his brother. Here. In all the wild lands, he'd come [i[here! The coincidence was staggering. Or was it coincidence? Was it possible he'd followed Kaleth? That seemed unlikely however. They'd both known they wanted to leave their cubhood pride, but had chosen different directions to head. It hadn't been a tearful, emotional parting by any means, but Kaleth was very fond of his brothers, and knowing he might not see them again had weighed heavily on his heart. But now... could it be that he and Renvir would once more share a pride? Almost breathlessly he waited for his brother's turn to stand before the seer and his fire.

Skan waited patiently as the group of undetermined lions thinned out. Secretly he was a little happy that it wasn't as massive as the last time. He didn't know if he could last that long. Sighing, he knew that he had a long way to go to match his father's greatness.
He was a touch mesmerized by the feather that the young female offered to the flames. He glanced upwards at her, his green eyes finding gold ones. "It is a fine offering," he replied, his eyes drawn to the feather as it fell upon the head, curling and crackling as it showed him just a touch of her life, but moreso where her future would lie.
"Ahh, Magdiel. You've offered a strong part of yourself, and it has told me that you are to be within the Mantis Clan. Go join them now, and find the new members of your extended family."

The young lioness smiles happily, her destiny had been chosen by the flames and she was pleased, she knew little of the clans but she hoped she would meet new friends and help the clan in any way she could.
"Thank you sir." She whispers, bowing her head to the heavily tattooed male.
Looking around she moves away from the crackling fire looking for others of the Mantis clan, already she felt a great weight lifted from her shoulders, she knew she belonged here and now she belonged to the Mantis clan.
