Yuriko smiled and nodded finishing her plate.

"Yes, I'd be happy to just allow me to shower and dress, I am glad you enjoy my cooking I do my best."

She bowed her head placing her dish and cup in the sink before dashing up the stairs to get ready.

Amaya finished her plate... she would have liked to eat more of the delicious food, but vaulting was nothing to be done on a full stomach... she put the leftovers away and stacked the plates in the sink for later.

I better get the tack on Toto before Solice arrives... if he does come at all...

Quickly, but no less diligent, she brushed the large stallion down, cleaned the hooves, put bandages on his cannons and fixed the bareback pad on him, then led him to the hippodrome by the longe, the excess rope coiled and tucked under her arm, long whip in the other hand.

Yuriko dresses herself while drying her hair off just a bit then pulled it back into a messy bun. Down stairs she hurried and out the door to tend to the set up of the horses humming a small song as she did so, she really did wonder who the guest would be.

-Meanwhile-

Sunlight bathed over Solice's body as he hobbled to the stables. The arena had kept the light from coming in, and he had not noticed that it was morning until he came out of it. He looked around, making sure he hadn't been followed before letting himself into the barn. He hobbled over a ladder, pulling himself up to the top of the steeple. He lay there for a few mintues, waiting for one of the carrier pidgeons to get near before he grabbed ahold of it. He tied a note unto it's small leg, and in whispered for it to go to his brethern. He set it free, and it took off, leaving him up on the steeple to lay there.

Amaya put her left foot on the wooden gate of the hippodrome, grabbed the pad with her right hand and stretched her leg thoroughly while watching Yuriko do the warm up with Toto on the longe. Docilely, the great friesian stallion started to trot after the stable maid had flicked the long whip in his general direction. He was going in perfect circles, forelegs flying high and the mighty neck craned in an elegant angle. The stable master admired his beauty and contained power while she stretched the other leg.
As she bent back she stared at the sun, already riding high in the sky, thinking:
Figures... what did you expect, stupid...
She pushed herself up in a handstand on the gate, then flopped to the other side, hitting the ground running. She waited for Toto to pass her by, then jogged up to Yuriko.
"I think we can start nonetheles... please make him gallop, I'm gonna do some exercises, then I hold the longe and you can have a go... would you like that?"

((@Omega: Is that allright so, or are we supposed to find your character?))

Yuriko smiled and nodded.

"Yes ma'am, would you like for me to mount him or do you want him free back?"

She smiled to Toto rubbing his cheek and over his neck and mane she whispered something to the horse and smiled.

(If you want you can. My character is going to be knocked out.)
Laying there for several minutes, Solice let his wounds take over, his senses starting to dull as he fell into unconsiousness.

Yuriko smiled and nodded.

"Yes ma'am, would you like for me to mount him or do you want him free back?"

She smiled to Toto rubbing his cheek and over his neck and mane she whispered something to the horse and smiled.

"Just longe me, if you please... I'm gonna do the monkey drill, so please keep him on a steady pace. Thank you!" She waited for Toto to start galloping, then ran alongside him and mounted in one fluid motion. After doing the mill, the scissors, the flag and other simple maneuvers, she pushed herself up on her hands and shoulders in the bookstand, then came down riding sidesaddle.
Toto was galloping beautifully with the measured beat of a clockwork. Feeling frisky, she attempted the cossack.
While dangling upside down from her mount, suspended only by one foot stuck in the vaulting gird, she caught a glimpse of a dark figure on the roof of the barn next to the hippodrome. Frowning, she pulled herself up and waited for Toto to carry her around again, to take a closer look.
And indeed, there was a dark figure on the roof that had not been there before...
Amaya scooted back in a kneeling position, then stood up on Totos croup. She waited for several more paces, then swung her arms for momentum and did a backwards flip off the horse. As soon as she found her balance again, she turned and started running towards the barn, calling out to Yuriko over her shoulder:
"Sorry Yuriko, I think I saw something... be right back!"
She flanked over the gate and dashed towards the stables. Damn, I hope my eyes deceived me.. if there's really someone up there, I do not want to know the reason. Just to be safe, she retrieved a pitchfork from the dungpile as she passed it by and scaled the ladder to the steeple... where she promptly dropped it, mouth agape, as she saw who was lying there, spread-eagled, as if he had just fallen from the sky:
"Sweet Baldur! Solice! What happened to you?"

Oh, damn... not responding...
Amaya checked Solices pulse and breathing. It was faint, but regular.
I have to get him off that roof... but how?
She scanned the steeple of the barn until her eyes caught on the simple pulley attached to one of the beams that was used to pull bales of hay and sacks of grain up to the storage.
Crawling on the slanted roof, she pulled at the rope until the hook came up and dragged it back to Solice. Quickly, she made an impromptu harness from the rope and her own broad cotton sash while trying not to move the injured man too much. When she was done, she scanned the roof again and huffed in frustration when she found no safe place to anchor herself in order to lower him down.
She looked down to the hippodrome, an idea forming in her mind.
A piercing whistle came from her lips, and she waved her arms to get Yuriko's attention.

"Yuriko!", she yelled. "Yuriko! Come here and bring Toto!"

Yuriko heard her name being called, she made a few click sounds and pulled Toto with her in a hurried pace. She made it to the stable roof and looked up sheilding her eyes from the sun with one hand, holding Toto's reigns with the other.

"Amaya-sama? Is everything alright? You sound very paniced."

"Sorry Yuriko... I need your help... there's an injured man here, and we have to get him down. Don't ask, I have no clue how he got up there...", she threw the free end of the rope down to the stable maid.
"Fasten this to Totos girt, and lead him over there..." She pointed down and to the side. "...until I say stop! Then hold him in place."

Yuriko nodded catching the rope and tying it to Toto, she patted the horse's cheek and slowly started to pull him in the direction pointed.

"C'mon boy."

"O.k., STOP!" Toto had reached a point where the rope started to pull taut.

Saying a silent prayer to Archimedes or whatever Saint was responsible for simple mechanics these days, Amaya lay down on her back and draped Solice over her, then scuttled down the slope on elbows and heels. When she passed the level of the pulley, the rope started to take up the weight. She held her breath when she felt that Toto was starting to shuffle as the rope pulled at his girt, but Yuriko managed to keep him in place. When their combined weight was completely suspended by the rope, Amaya called out to Yuriko again:

"Now lead him back... SLOWLY!"

Yuriko blinked several times now slowly pulling Toto back one hoof at a time looking up from Amaya then down to Toto's hoofs, up and down up and down up and down.

When Toto started moving back, the angle of the rope became steeper, thus lowering Amaya and her load step by step, just as she had calculated.
Her breath was coming in short gasps as she tried to stabilize the descent, keeping them from spinning around, watching the ground draw nearer underneath her dangling feet. A heave of relief escaped her chest when her soles finally met solid ground. She slowly let go of the rope and motioned for Yuriko to stop while the unconscious body of the injured man was still suspended in the air.

"Wait, I'll get a wheelbarrow..."

Huffing, she came back and softly lowered Solice into the barrow, checking his breathing and pulse again... this time she also lifted his eyelids gently... and was relieved to see that the pupils contracted normally. The transport seemed not to have worsened the condition. Good.
"All right, I'll get him to the house... please see to Toto, then follow me, I will need your help in getting him on the table.", she told Yuriko while she slowly lifted up the barrow and set it in motion.
