The story will hopefully be fleshed out over the course of the other expansions. There are also comics that tell the background, but I doubt I can stomach more pin-up art and pseudo bondage breast groping scenarios.
No comment on boobies? Are you a eunuch boyo?!

Keep the discussion of tits to the Gen Hams, please. Unless they're the tits on the characters/models in this game. Then, such discussion is perfectly acceptable.

It's odd you know. All male models have functional armour and uniforms while the female soldiers have the horrible impractical armour and uniforms that never, ever work. HATE.

The less rolling the better. You roll to hit and if you hit, it dies or loses wounds, unless it's in cover, then you get a saving roll. Other than that it's a streamlined system that works well enough and doesn't produce arguments or requires a veritable f*ckton of dice to play.

If you are hit by Garand or Mauser, you are pretty much out of fight, they were designed from hunting rifles capable of bringing down a moose... and then there are alien laser guns of the Nazis.... ouch. No "marine standing after 10 flashlight hits" stuff, good.

The setting is for the most part in a stage where factions have developed beyond the point of using K98's and M1 rifles. American soldiers have the M1 assault rifle, which I am guessing is an alternate variant of the M14 rifle while the Germans have the StG 47, which is the next version of the StG 44 in all likeliness. Not sure about the Russians, though from what I've seen their infantry uses full-auto grenade launcher rifles, upgraded PPSh-43 smgs and PTRD AT rifles are used for sniper duty. eek

Only less under age girl and more grizzled Ruskie in cold weather gear with skis.
Russian infantry is issued with PPS 43 SMG's for the most part and paratrooper units use an experimental 50mm semi-auto grenade launcher. Other than that, not a whole lot is known as of yet about Russian armed forces. Other than having small and heavy suits of power armour with wrist-mounted 75mm auto-howitzers and large propeller driven tanks for patrolling the steppes.
Oddly enough, the official box art and unit designs feature the Rangers using M3 Grease Guns with a bulky GL attachment on the barrel and the Germans using the MP40 with dual horizontal feed mags not much unlike the Calico and P90.

Sounds like the Ruskies are going to get dealt with like they do in some other tabletop settings (Ruskies and Obviously Russian/Soviet themed groups included). Huge, bulky warmachines with a quarter mile of grunt armor in front of them. Not that it's a bad thing at all, it makes their armies a hell of a lot of fun to play.

This may surprise you, but it looks like the Sino-Russians are moving away from that image, at least with their infantry. They look capable, mean and well-equipped. Not to mention they are the only army to showcase special forces and specialist infantry for river operations with their art.
Unless the SS is suddenly promoted to special forces, then Germany is full of them.
