Chancellor Sukira Shiro Chancellor Shiro smiled kindly at Toru. "Well then, Hello Toru Arashi. Welcome to the Duel academy" Chancellor Shiro spoke very kindly to the boy, and reached her hand over, placing it on his shoulder. "Make sure you keep hold of those cards of yours, a persons deck is always important to them" Chancellor Shiro smiled then stood up straight, and waved, turning and walking back towards the staff table.

:Vice Chancellor Hiro Dex:
Hiro was still trying to figure out who this kid was, he seemed familiar some how but the Vice Chancellor couldn't put his finger on it, he figured he better answer his question, "Well if you're looking for the Vice Chancellor you're in the right spot. That would be me! I'm Hiro Dex, and what should I be calling you?" Hiro stuck out his giant sized hand as a form of greeting. He had no idea why this man was here but he intended to find out.

"My Name is Cedric. I am the Turbo Duel Instructor of New Domino City." Cedric said as he shook Hiro's hand. "As I said before I came here to offer congratulations on running Duel Academy, as well as to give you something that may be helpful in getting the student's to try better in school." Cedric said as he stood talking with the VC of Duel Academy. "I can't give it to you at this moment as it is not immediatly on me however after this meeting in the Assembly Hall here I will gladly go out to my duel runner where I put it and come back and give it to you." Cedric said with a smile as he thought this was going well. "There is just one single condition to this, you may show none of the student's what is inside the case unless they have earned on the many things inside. You may show the chancellor but I would prefer not showing anyone else. You can distribute them as you see fit to the children here, wether it be as a reward, or other incentive, but you may not reveal what is in the case to them." Cedric said wiping the smile from his face and immediatly making it stern. "But for now I suggest we just enjoy this day while it lasts, because I have the feeling this is going to be a very interesting year for Duel Academy."

:Vice Chancellor Hiro Dex:
As the young man revealed his name it finally clicked fro Hiro, he knew where he knew him from, " Cedric? As in Cedric who graduated from here a few years back, I remember you. You still dueling on motorcycles huh... Well I guess one day you'll see how silly that is." Hiro gave off a hardy laugh as he gave Cedric a heavy pat on the back. Keeping his joyful attitude he continued," So you got something for me... it's for the students, but I can't tell any of them... well alright I can do that, why don't you have a seat for the Assembly, it won't hurt you to know what's going on at your old stomping grounds now would it," Hiro gestured toward the chair next to the new fusion teacher. " After this is over we can get all squared away with your delivery,... ah it reminds me of the old days, now we got a bunch of newbies that need our training. Who knew this teaching thing would be like a never ending cycle." With that said the large man let our a deep sigh and plumped back down in his chair.

Alex Fields Am I wrong? ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ "Yeah." Alex shifts his attention toward the staff's table. It seems that more people have shown up. They seem to be normal enough, until Alex receives a bad vibe from the man with a pair of sunglasses. Whoa...Who is that guy? I better watch out for him.The chancellor seems pretty nice from his point of view as he observes her welcoming a younger Obelisk Blue student. Alex can't help but wonder how good a duelist she is. He has a good feeling she could probably beat everyone in the school. The Vice-Chancellor still looks pretty intimidating, but Alex sees no malice or ill intent in the man's mannerisms. Alex also notices the man speaking with the Vice-Chancellor. He seems to be close to Alex's own age. He looks a bit too young to teach, so who is he?Alex turns his attention back to Brian after adequately observing the staff. "How long have you been a duelist? I've only just started three years ago. My parents freaked out when I told them my new career plans." ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Is it that simple?

███████████████████████████████████████████████ █████████████ _________ DOLL IE Slifer Red ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ A young female approached a set of long double doors. Her ginger iris traced the decorative trimmings that trailed in a vertical fashion until it had reached the edge where there, it would simply fall off into nonentity. She lightly clenched onto the cool handle of the door, slowly pulling it towards her with light strength. The double doors appeared to be thick and difficult at first, but she purposely made it appear that she was struggling even when that wasn’t her intentions at all. Voices echoed and boomed through the halls from the first assembly of the year. Most of the volume was absorbed by the thick walls, yet Dollie felt inclined to maintain a low profile for arriving after introductions. She was named, Dollie Shieves. Her small petite appearance and circle framed face marked her age, fourteen although there were occasions were relatives mistook her to be younger. Being a female, she was inclined to decorate her burgundy hair at least with a hair band in substitute until she could find her accessories. Regardless of arriving hours early, Dollie still had yet to completely organize her supplies for school. The environment was completely different from America and in addition to categorized levels; she felt even more alienated while she walked passed other students to find a vacant seat. Dollie was uncomfortable wearing the standard female uniform which basically was a short dress uniform. Ignoring the voices of the staff, she made a self note that she would design her own patter and modify her uniform. After all, she read no rules against it. From her position, she could barely manage to see the entire assembly. Dollie remained silent, scanning the area as the voices vibrated her eardrums. It appeared to be a basic, yet decorative room, almost nostalgic to her. The area filled with numerous tamers could be mistaken for a ball or something on that subject. Dollie then began to imagine how the schools system would work and how she would even begin to solialize with the others. In all honesty, there number of male tamers outnumbered the females, Dollie thought to herself. She preferred to think rather than talk randomly to herself if not wanting to appear strange. A light spirit lurked around her shoulders in which she forcibly ignored. Another tamer in crimson attire gestured a welcome to her, but she rejected the offer. She was a Slifer Red student, or better known as the novice duelist…perhaps one of the lowest categories…she bitterly thought to herself. Dollie continued to exchange quick, awkward glances around in order to substitute a distraction. The duelist sat straight and remained like that while focusing towards the speaker obediently. Her eyes were darting viciously across the room before any other male could lock eyes on her. When a teacher bearing Slifer’s colors emerged after the movement of Ra classed students, Dollie shuddered. He appeared to be slightly pale, his figure was long and lanky yet the way he supported himself by having his arms folded back boasted power. After the wicked smile, she was mildly disturbed; his sharp jaw line easily popped out further than an ordinary human. Dollie quickly shifted her weigh breaking away from his direction while she looked on. “Scary….” Dollie whispered to the boy who sat next to her. The random student nodded in agreement as he too was observing the teachers in the room.

Dice Sphere- Battle Teacher Dice had finish his inspection of the students and decided he was thirsty. He began to make his way towards the the staff table for a bit of wine. On his way over, he had overheard the conversation between The teen name Cedric and the Vice-Chancellor. What they said perked his interest a little. "Dueling on Motorcycles, huh? Sounds interesting, could be enjoyable." He begin to chuckled to himself as he made it to the table and picked up one of a dozen glass set around the table next to a bunch of elegantly prepared cuisine. He examine the glass, as his blood-red Iris focus on the liquid for a few seconds. Not exactly his drink of choice, but it would have to do. He frown as he drain the glass of it liquid. The taste was weak and bitter in his mouth. He return his thoughts back to that of the special occasion before him. He was growing rather bored of the party and had remember why he hated going to official gatherings such as these.
"Even though both of us have a short life, I expect mine to be longer then yours."

Somewhere that I belong Brian looked at the staff table, trying to memorize their faces. It would certainly help him to know who the teachers and other staff were. "I've been a dueling for a while now," Brian said, "But I felt like I needed to learn more so I came here." Brian knew that no matter how good someone seemed to be, there was always a deck that could beat it.Or will I always live this way... ? ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

"They are called Duel Runners Hiro, and yes I still am, it's kinda my job." Cedric said, taking the seat next to Kiryu. "So is this all the staff or are more still coming?" Cedric said looking around at the teachers that were there. He knew quite a bit of information on one of them, Dice Sphere, he had been called in by Shiro as a favor. He also uses a deck of Six Samurai monsters. "Hey is Shiro still the Chancellor?" Cedric said as he looked around for Shiro.

:Vice Chancellor Hiro Dex: Hiro chuckled at Cedric's reply, he knew what they were called but he still considered it an insane way to duel, "Yeah, yeah call it what you will, that doesn't change what it is....As for the teachers we have a few more that weren't required to be here today and they should be joining our staff in the next few days." Hiro looked at the list in front of Chancellor Shiro's seat to make sure he wasn't mistaken and gave a little nod, "Yep that's all of us, Kiryu the fusion teacher, I'm assuming the man who just walked in must be the battle instructor, I of course am the Vice Chancellor and then we have Chancellor Shiro. Does that answer you question?" Hiro looked around trying to see where she had run off to, she's still over there helping that new boy huh, well it looks like most of the students are here so I think we should see if she's ready to get this assembly underway. "Chancellor Shiro," His voice boomed across the great hall, "It seems that most of the students have arrived, I see no reason to keep them in suspense any longer, why don't we begin our meeting?" He knew they had some important news to give the students since a few rules of Duel Academy had been changed this year.

Chancellor Sukira Shiro Chancellor Shiro looked towards Vice Chancellor Dex, and nodded, as she reached the table, and walked around it to her seat. "Why don't you start us off, Hiro?" Chancellor Shiro said with a soft smile as she sat down, taking a sip from her glass. "Are you ok with that" Chancellor Shiro smiled and took another sip from her glass, looking at the teachers. She smiled seeing Cedric. "Hello there"

:Vice Chancellor Hiro Dex: The big man nodded and turned to face the student body, "Let me just start of welcoming all of our new students to the academy and to all our returning students it's good to see you again, I trust you will set a good example for the younger ones.." Hiro paused to let the chit chat finish up before he moved on, after seeing the eyes all turn to him he cleared his throat and continued, "As the older students and some of the newer ones know in the past we have allowed you to use your own decks during school hours and have given you the ability to use school issued decks if needed. This system has worked fine for years, but last year it was brought to our attention that these custom made decks had begun to make the matches one sided. Students with out the ability to buy new cards were easily taken down by those students who were constantly upgrading their decks. Because of this the unfortunate students were not improving in their dueling matches and have been left behind in their studies." Hiro could see some of the smug looks on the faces of the "better" students, his announcement was about to wipe that away. "Due to these happenings the Chancellor and I, along with our excellent staff of teachers have decided that we needed to make a few changes to how we managed the academy. At the conclusion of the assembly all duelist will be given a school issued deck," Hiro's speech was interrupted by a wave of groans and boos, Hiro knew he needed to take control back, He raised his voice above the commotion, "SILENCE!!!.... As I was saying you will all be given a new deck, everyone will start on equal ground with a basic starter deck that you will have to use our new system of Duel Points to improve upon. You will earn Duel Points through completing lessons and dueling in the training facility. These points can be exchanged in the card shop for booster packs and new decks. Your duel Points will be recorded in your duel disks and can only be changed by a faculty member. Personal decks are forbidden from school duels and anyone caught trying to use them will be warned and any attempts after that will lead to a banning from the school." Hiro looked around again to be sure all of the students had been paying attention. " Any questions about the new system can be directed to me or any of the other staff members and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Are we understood?...Good, that's all I have for now... Chancellor Shiro would you like to take over, I believe we have a few new staff members to introduce." Hiro again took his seat watching the students in case of any trouble, he knew they hatted the new rule but it was the only way to keep the academy fair for all students. If they wanted the edge they would have to work for it.

"Hello Shiro, I see you are still working as hard as before, if not more." Cedric said not paying much attention to Hiro who was explaining that some of the students weren't exactly fair in their decks, and Cedric knew this as he could pick out some of the richer students, and saw that some of the more advanced students, while disapointed understood that sometimes a level playing field is what is needed to show someone's true potential. "I told Hiro a bit ago that I have something to give to you two to help the student's better customize their starter decks, however these won't be things that can be bought. If that was confusing I'll explain it latter when I give it to you and Hiro." Cedric said smiling to Shiro for the first time in a while. "Like I told Hiro, I have a feeling this year will be nothing like any of the previous years for Duel Academy." Cedric said kind of zoning out then refocusing his attention back on Shiro.

Chancellor Sukira Shiro Chancellor Shiro nodded in understanding. "We will meet in my office after this" Chancellor Shiro said then stood up. Chancellor Shiro smiled at all the students. "Well, another year, eh?" Chancellor Shiro called to the students. "Vice Chancellor Dex covered our Rule changes. Now to Introduce out staff" Shiro looked at all the faces of the students. "We have our Battle teacher, Professor Dice Sphere, and our Fusion teacher, Professor Kiryu Blade." She pointed to both in turn. "The rest of out staff should arrive sometime before the first classes, so I will let them all introduce themselves in turn, when they arrive, till then. Have a great day students!"

Alex Fields Am I wrong? ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Alex, still getting used to having a normal conversation with someone, who he for once is not trying to fool or trick finds himself at a loss for words. Before, when he would speak to someone, he had always been direct and straight to the point; a man of few words some might say. When he was speaking to a "target," he used body language to lure them in, and would play into their emotions. He had a small, yet powerful set of themes that he could easily use to make others respond the way he wanted, but for once, Alex isn't trying to use someone to do his bidding, or trick someone into giving him money for the subway(which he would then spend at the arcade). Why is this so hard? I guess I'm not used to chatting with others yet.The gears in his head turn for a few seconds more when something finally clicks, and he finally figures out what to talk about. Alex decides to ask Brian about the cards he likes to use, but before he can get the words out; the deep and loud voice of the Vice-Chancellor rings out into the hall once more. Alex immediately quiets down, listening intently to the Vice-Chancellor's words. At the mention of students with powerful decks, Alex's stomach does a back flip, and he's instantly nervous again. He looks around, and indeed does see mischievous grins on some of the students' faces; especially many of the Obelisk Blue students. What?! Does that mean my chances of distinguishing myself are dust already? I always new my deck was nothing special, but It'd get cream by one of those "the best money can buy" decks. His panic subsides as he keeps listening, and it dies completely as groans sound all through the hall. Alex knows that if everyone is using starter decks, he will actually have a chance. His thoughts are interrupted by the Vice-Chancellor's loud command. The hall is immediately quiet. Perhaps more quiet than before the groans and boos had started. Once the Vice-Chancellor and the Chancellor both finish speaking, and they have been dismissed, Alex stands up out of his chair. He turns to Brian to finish speaking with him, and then realizes that there is no point in asking about the other boy's deck now, but fortunately, words are already coming to his head. "Isn't that cool? The school is going to give us decks to start with!" Alex palms the cards in his pocket and casts his gaze down, a touch of sorrow darkens his face. "I guess I can't use these then." The sad realization shocks Alex momentarily out of his good mood, and he loses himself in his memories of building his deck. Man, this sucks. All of those memories...for nothing? The savvy tactician that houses his ambition instantly springs up inside however to combat his negative thoughts. I guess I'll make new memories then. Those memories are part of the past. My new ones start today, as I slowly build myself an even better deck that will take me to the top.A now familiar smile creeps up his face as he is finally looking forward to the days he will spend at the academy. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Is it that simple?
