Ki couldn't help but chuckle a little at his mate's comment. "I thought you already were the mean parent and no amount of sleep can cure that." He teased back at her before crossing the small distance to her and giving her an affectionate nuzzle. Ki looked down at his son and daughter, so anxious to get started. How Aruna had the energy to deal with them in the morning was beyond him.

He laughed loudly at his daughters comments before crouching down to her level. "Well, I'm ready now. Let's go."

Maya stepped back as their mother rose and their father went to greet her for the morning. She hated this part. They were always all affectionate and lovey-dovey. Love was totally gross.

"Mom isn't the one making us wait to go hunting." She complained to her father, pointing out that he was being the mean parent currently. Her tail swished irritably behind her, impatience clear on her face. Despite her protest, her father was still focused on their mother. Annoyed, she wiggled herself between them and began pushing them apart.

Maya shot her father a deadly glare when he laughed at her comment. "I'm serious, you're being the worst father ever." She huffed but instantly perked up when he announced they were ready to go.
