 Professor Kay— Apparition Class & Flying Class
Okay so i'm presuming you have all copied down what was on the board. As you know Lily answered the question right and tomorrow in our second lesson i shall put up the new question which can earn you 5 points for your house. Well then let's get started. I turn around and head next to the board so that when the students can answer i will right the answeres on the board and the students will copy them down in their books. Students, i would like you to tell me your knowledge of Apparition. What is your understanding of it?

Aludra Yvette... Aludra sweetly raised her hand and volunteered to share her knowledge to class. She stood up from her chair so that the class and Professor Kay could see and hear her better, sometimes she could be a shy one. "Apparition is a magical method of transportation, and is basically magical teleportation. It is by far the fastest way to get to one's desired destination, but is tricky to pull off correctly and disastrous if botched up. By dangerous I mean splinching." She shuttered at the thought of splinching. Aludra couldnt imagine losing any part of her body. With her luck it might be a vital part for survival. Clearing her throat, she sat back down in her seat and waited for the Professor to speak. ...7th Year Slytherin

As soon as i heard a student stand up i turned around and watch Aludra give her answer to the question. Excellent work Aludra. I give her a friendly nod which meant thank you. I then turned my attention to the class. Well come on now students i hope you're getting all this down. You don't want to miss out on all this important information.

So Aludra said that Apparition was the fastest method of transportation. She is exactly right. Apparaiting can take you from one place to another in about.. let's say, 5 seconds? This is why so many witches and wizards prefer Apparating rather than ordinary broomsticks. But there comes a disadvantage when Apparating. Who can tell me what that disadvantage is? Hm.. let's see! Ahh Meiko. Can you tell me what that disadvantage is? Aludra mentioned it just now..

Meiko nods and stands up as she said her answer with a weary smile. "Well,sir, I learned from Aludra that its disadvantage is if done incorrectly, the user of the spell can splinch themselves."
She slowly sits down, waiting for her professor to answer. "I better pay attention to the professor, I mean, I never did try apparating before... and I don't want to lose a part of my body..." she whispered to herself as she read her book.

Exactly! I said pointing to Meiko excitedly. Splinching! I pause then continue. Splinching is one of the disadvantages of Apparaiting. Splinching is one of the most painfu.. Oh by the way who can tell me what splinching is, before i continue? Cloud could you help us out over here. I know the textbook is very interesting but help us out, please. What is splinching? I ask the girl.

Aludra Yvette... Aludra wrote down some notes about Apparition in Professor Kay's words and listened to the other students give testimonials about it as well. Farther down on her paper, she wrote notes about splinching with a colorful illistration with half-torso man standing in fear. This was she remembered what spinching could do. So far, notes were a big part of all her classes and the only way for her to keep interest was to doodle little picture illistrations on the paper. ...7th Year Slytherin

"Splinching is what occurs when a witch or wizard apparates or disapparates unsuccessfully, leaving part of his or her clothes or body behind in their former location." Toxic says taking more notes.

Seeing as Cloud didn't answer my question, i turned to the students and then Toxic spoke out and explained to the class what splinching was. Very good. I said to her with a nod. One must be extremely careful to not splinch themselves. Toxic, do you know anyone that has been splinched? Or heard of anyone? I ask her.

Ghaleon, Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
Ghaleon looked a bit green just hearing the word 'splinch'. Not that he'd ever seen it happen to anyone first hand... but the images it produced in his mind were unsettling enough. He silently prayed to himself to never be unlucky enough to have to go through something like that.

Ronald Bilius Weasley, exactly. I said pointing to Aludra in a serious tone. I continued talking but this time to the whole class. I began walking up and down the classroom. On the second of september in 1997 a boy named Ron Weasley splinched himself while apparating. He was apparating with his two friends Harry Potter and Hermoine Granger. I'm sure you've heard of them. At the time they were infiltrating the Ministry of Magic. After they had finished what they came to do they were ready to leave but all the exits were locked. And what was the only method to escape from the Ministry officials? I asked the class and then answered the question myself. Apparition. So they Apparated a quite lengthy distance and as you all should know apparating from a far place can be extremely dangerous. One of the Ministry officials caught hold on Ron's arms but was thrown off by the Relashio spell. And as they were Apparating.. Ron was splinched. He's whole entire left arm was chopped off.
