Wednesday restrained herself from recoiling at the opertunity that had been given, occupying herself with her drying "No I supose I wasn't serious" She said "but..." she let the word linger for a moment as she pretended to give the matter some thought "Your mother did not sound like the nicest...what ever she is in the world" She made no attempt to hide the distain she held for other races. She believed whole heartedly that baddies were a superior race, and that her herself was above even them. She did hope how ever, that her statement would open up this conversation

"Bathandler," Paris filled in absently. She wasn't at all opposed to opening up a little, stupid as it was. She looked away, because even though she could talk about it, she didn't want Wednesday to see any of the emotions that might come from the memories. "It isn't that she's cruel. Not most of the time at least. To be cruel, she'd have to give a s**t about me. And she doesn't. I don't even know why she had kids at all. It's obvious she doesn't want us around." None of wha she'd said was necessarily a huge secret, but she almost regretted spilling like this to Wednesday. She braced for the cutting put-down that she was sure would come next.

"Some Fae's simple don't deserve children" Wednesday said, while she returned to towel drying her hair. She hated having wet hair. As she did so she quickly evaluated her next plan of action. She needed to not only look sympathetic, but empathetic. She needed to lure Paris into believing they could relate to each other, and in truth they could. Only Wednesday loathed talking of it. Still, it would be too risky too lie "My mother only really held onto me to spite my father". She didn't let her face, or voice betray her emotions. She spoke it as if she spoke about making a sandwich

Paris was rather stunned at Wenesday's almost empathetic behavior. She turned back to her, searching her face for any reaason for the change. In the end, though, it was Wednesday's words that made Paris understand, even if she was far too casual about Kitty "And what about your mother and father?" She asked. She was prying and she knew it, but she had just in essence spilled her life story to Wednesday. She felt no guilt for pressing a little. Perhaps the two of them had more in common than Paris had realized.

Wednesday did not try and conceal her irritation at Paris' prying and scowled at the Baddie. But she needed Paris to believe she was opening her heart to her
"My Mother told me that her and my father had this intense relationship before they gave in to it. After I hatched, she wouldn't let him see me and he pretty much up and left anyway." She cast her eyes down to the floor, unable to suppress the spite in her voice "He's whored himself out in a way that frankly rather disgusting. No more schemes, just fling after fling. And he claims that he does it all for the pleasure of loving and leaving, as he would put it"
She knew she was divulging too much, but honestly how could any of this be used against her in the end? Her goal was all that mattered, and she turned away from Paris towards the window. The rain was still torrential. She still had so much time

Paris blinked. She met Wednesday's scowl with a quirked eyebrow. She shoved down her desire to say something sweet and sympathetic, not really sure where it was coming from. In her own mind, she decided that it was all Wednesday's fault and that something about the other baddie was making her so uncharacteristically mushy. "Loving and..." Paris shook her head. "I hate to say it, but your father sounds like something of a b*****d." She said. "...My father's just a wuss. And so's my brother. General disgraces to the name of 'baddie.'" She shook her head, grinning sourly at the memory of the first time she had met the two of them. "But...hey, you can't choose your family, huh? That's what...well, that's what the people you surround yourself with are for." She hesitated to say friends.

Wednesday scoffed 'hah! those few who I let into my inner circle have all done what every one does in the end. Gambit dared to mate with my neice, albeit for strategical purposes. Chance fears to talk to me lest she invoke the wrath of her brother. And Shakespeare..." She trailed off "He's grown tired of my spite and lies. But they were tests in which he failed" oddly enough a smirk began to grace her sad features, as if amused by her situation "They all leave in the end and so I surround myself with no one" she finished.
This was it, she realized. She was making herself appear vulnerable. Wednesday peered up towards Paris

Paris shook her head. "You push people away, Wednesday." She said. "Like you tried to do to me." A smile cracked across her face. "Unfortunately for you, I've decided that I want to stick around, and I have no intention of being driven off. Or mating with any of your relatives." Certainly, this could have been an emotionally intense moment...but Paris was no good at that, and she had a feeling it would be wasted on the other fae. Still, she getly placed a paw on Wednesday's shoulder, a little way of emphasizing her sincerity.

At Paris' gentle touch a shiver ran through her body.
Wednesday acted on impulse, hoping that what she would do would not frighten her prey from her. She snatched at Paris' slender wrist, and in a whirl she rose to her feet and pulled Paris towards her, meeting her lips in a way that was far from gentle. As the chair clattered to the cold stone floor, Wednesday seemingly regained her senses, pushing Paris away roughly as she turned her back to her. There was a moment of silence, where all she could hear was the storm.
"That was a mistake".
She knew she had taken a risk in acting so rashly. But when her instincts called to her that strongly she also knew she was a fool to ignore them.

Paris's first reaction to Wednesday's yanking her towards her was to try and pull away, but the instant Wednesday's lips met hers, rational thought went out the window. Even though it only lasted for a brief moment, it left Paris flushed and her heart racing a mile a minute. Then, Wednesday spoke, and Paris felt a little stab. "A...mistake?" She asked. She looked away as her words came tumbling out. "It's one I wouldn't mind you making again." She said, clearly and audibly.
