“You look so silly.”
She smiled wondering over to her friend and his white nose. Giving it a small nuzzle she backed away her own nose gaining some of the white powder. She sneezed and shook her head wondering around a little to observe all the beautiful trees. She fluttered her wings slightly before wondering back to stand by him once more. Smiling at the prospect he proposed.
“Completely white you say? Should I take that as a challenge?”
She asked with a small smirk, wondering over and rubbing her side against one of the trees and batting her wings as the powder spread into a small cloud of dust. She sneezed again and wondered away from the tree her size gaining quite a coating however only in a blobby strip. She tilted her head at him when he admitted he was also lost, well she was not getting home anytime soon however she did not mind it, she instead looked to the bright side of things.
“Hmm... well it is pretty, I could think of worse places to get lost and worse people to get lost with. I am sure staying for a while will not be the be all and end all.”
She smiled and nodded, wondering over and nodding her head, he picked truth? She tilted her head and thought for a moment, well since they had already done some quite uncomfortable dares she might as well prey on some quite uncomfortable topics. Plus she was quite curious about this next question anyway.
“Truth you say... okay then tell me. Has a mare yet to steal your heart? Or have you yet to fall for a pretty face?”

Vivace did his best not to snort at the blotchy strip of white that ran over his friend. In no way had he meant it to be a challenge. Really it was just an offhand comment that he was wondering if he should have made. She looked ridiculous. It was a little harder to take her seriously.
"Essence, you are forgetting that we have wings." He said with a small smile. It wasn't as though it would be hard to find their way out. All they needed was a clearing large enough for them to spread their wings and take off without hitting a tree. Finding such a place could wait though, he had a game to attend to.
He chuckled. "You are really only supposed to ask one question Essence." He chided playfully. "But since it is much the same question I see no reason not to answer." Feeling the need to be dramatic he took his sweet time in answering. First tilting his head from one side to the other in mock concentration, then muttering off a list of names that he came up with on a whim only to pause after each one as if thinking about it. He took a peculiar joy when he mentioned the crabby old goat that had chased them, gave it the longest pause of all only to shake his head after with a 'definitely not.'
Finally he stopped screwing around and decided to give his friend a straight answer. "I'm afraid there is yet to be a girl in my life. I am sure that one day there will be though and it is only a matter of time." Or at least he hoped so. Vivace could not imagine himself growing old without a pretty face by his side. "and now, dear Essence, it is your turn. Truth or dare?"

“Of cause we do! How is your flying coming along? Been keeping up to my training?”
She asked, since he already knew she kept up to his singing lessons whilst she was away. Truth be told for a moment she was taken back, she was never really the brightest of people and the fact they could just fly out of this situation escaped her mind. However she would not let him know that. Her head tilted at the answer to her question.
“My-my, someone’s affections are easy to win.”
She smiled, actually taking him seriously for a moment, however it was made obvious at the mention of the old goat that he was kidding. She shook her head and nudged him playfully before her blue eyes went to look at him after his true answer was presented to her.
“I hope you do find someone one day, everyone has a second half waiting for them. That is what my Auntie told me anyway.”
She nodded, she truly did believe that everyone had a soul mate and everyone would one day find theirs. Her herd had always taught their foals the importance of love, so many single parents have foals and so many mothers find themselves randomly pregnant. However Essence knew she wanted to wait for the right man and be settled with him before any funny business went on. Much like many of the mares in her family had done. Had she thought about him? What he would act like? What he would look like? Why yes, as much as any girl her age had. Maybe a little too much since it seemed to be a topic her and her Auntie often talked about.
“Hmm, I will follow suit, truth it is.”
She nodded with a small smile, she was not copying him. Well she might of been however it was a game and she was having fun playing it with him.

He chuckled. "I hope so too." He only hoped that the second half out there waiting for him wasn't a cruddy one. Perhaps there were multiple mares that could be his potential second half. That suited him better. Then he wouldn't have to worry about not really liking a second half that may have been preordained. He could pick one from a few that he liked best.
"Truth huh?" He cocked his head to one side with a smirk. "Afraid I'll make you do something even more ridiculous this time?" He knew a couple mares that would have boxed his jaw for teasing like that. However, those sorts weren't likely to be spending their time playing 'silly little girl games' like truth and dare anyway. Vivace didn't care that it was a girls' game. It gave him a chance to tease mercilessly which he found quite enjoyable.
"Let me see..." He could ask her the same question she had just asked him but that seemed dull. He needed something a bit more interesting. "Did you actually want to go into training?" Perhaps it was an easy question but he wanted to know. To him it seemed like that sort of thing that was forced on a child and not a choice at all. He was more about freedom than duty anyway. Any responsibilities that may have fallen on his shoulders had been given to other people. The heir for a protector seemed to be one of his cousins. The heir for alpha had been narrowed down to his sister and another cousin. He'd gotten off free and he liked it better that way.
He couldn't imagine spending so much of a life in training. Perhaps that was why, in fact, he hadn't kept up with Essence's training. Once she had gone he'd almost stopped flying completely. His wings had grown strong and he was fine on short journeys but between the lack of practice and the weight of his hair he was really better off just walking.

"I am sure not even you could think of something more ridiculous than kissing a goat." She giggled and looked at him raising a eyebrow. "Though I do swear one day I shall have me vengeance for that one. When you are least expecting it." She nodded firmly, though due to her frame and tone her threatening voice still felt soft on the ears. The little mare wondered by his side, to think about her answer to his question.
It was a easy one to her. "I did, it is very rewarding and I love working with new mothers and foals. They are always so full of questions. I guess they have kept me young at heart. No one has ever forced me to do anything, do I look like the kind of mare who has been living a life she did not want?" Essence was happy with how her life turned out, she would go as far as saying she was proud of herself for chasing what she wanted. Now that she was reunited with her best friend it was just perfect. Though she first feared their time apart might have changed him, she still saw him as he once was.
"I mean, don't you have any dreams? Any ambitions in life?" She asked softly tilting her head, maybe not everyone went about it the same way she did. Yet there must be something motivating him to face each new day as it came. Though she was determined not to make that her turn. So she quickly turned her attention back to the game at hand.
She leaned up to him and whispered in his ear. "So my friend we have time for one more before the sun comes down, truth or dare?" She asked, feeling the first gust of the nights chill. She did not want to part ways but soon she would have to return home to her family. Maybe she would keep him a secret for a little while, after all they had only just met up. Yet there was no doubt her mother would remember him.
... after all she never shut up about him as a child.

He only grinned. Of course he could think up something more ridiculous. It was only a matter of time. Though, he supposed he would have to hold back sillier ideas until after Essence's revenge. It would be his counter-counter-attack. He had absolutely no doubts that she would, in fact, find some way to get back at him for the goat kiss.
Vivace listened closely as she answered the question. At least he didn't have to worry about her being forced into something. She seemed as happy sunshine about it as she did about most things. "Not at all." He said beaming at her as she finished. "You look perfectly content. I suppose I shouldn't have wondered. Just for a moment I thought maybe you were a superb actor hiding her real feelings and seducing innocent goats for fun." Vivace hopped she didn't smack him for his teasing. Really he was relieved that she'd at least wanted to do such things.
His ears twitched as his voice softened and then again as she whispered into them. "As for my own dreams and ambitions, I believe that answering would go against the rules of the game." He said in a singsong. "So as to further deprive you of an answer I will be, ever so foolishly, selecting 'dare' as the final round in this game." After deciding what to do he turned his head to return the favor by whispering into her ear, "And then you can get warmed up." He smirked a little then took a couple steps away preparing for whatever strange stunt she might make him do. After all this would be the perfect time for her to get her revenge.
