(( Dining Room ))
When Milena heard the announcement telling people to head into the kitchen and dining room, she gave a guilty start. Had she and Phillipe been too early in entering this room, and therefor ended up being rude? She fretted worriedly with this thought for a short period of time, but her anxiety faded as more and more excitos filed into the room, any possible infraction on her part apparently forgiven. Picking up a small piece of cake, she nibbled on it indiscreetly (this took almost all of her will - it tasted so good that she wanted to gobble it up as Phillipe had done with his cookie, but she managed to abstain), looking around at her company.
Phillipe just stood stupefied for a moment at the rush of people coming into the dining room, his appearance somewhat undignified with a liberal coating of cookie crumbs around his mouth and on his hands. Inching away from the larger crowd and into Milena's side, who put an arm on his shoulder, Phillipe was about to request to leave when he saw something special. There was someone in the crowd who looked like him! Dashing over with Milena right behind, Phillipe ran around Mykolai a few times before stopping in front of her, bouncing up and down while looking excitedly between her and Milena.
Milena gave a small laugh. "I think Phillipe is excited by the fact that the two of you look so similar. My name is Milena; What's yours?"

As Cassandra watched most of the plagues file into the house, she became bored with watching for more people - it seemed that most had already arrived. Giving a short nod to a gray caedos like herself and a colorful young plague who were still in the courtyard, she strode into the house, briefly looking at the setting of the foyer. She just stood there for a few moments, drinking in the details, but soon her legs were moving again, wanting to see the rest of the abode. She could come back here later. Wandering into where most people were, the dining room, her mouth curled involuntarily in disdain. Too many people in too small of space, and that annoying little of ornament of theirs was right near by. Snatching a piece of bread, she tore off a chunk with her mouth and exited the kitchen, going to the outdoor stairs. She paused in her climb to look into the second floor, staring at it for a few moments, but reached the same conclusion she'd had with the foyer - she could come back later.
Finally, her climb took her to the attic and roof, and she gazed out onto Sloane's room. So strange that a house perfect for them, with numerous rooms and floors, only took up a tiny portion of a room of one of their larger fellows. So strange indeed. Turning towards the attic, Cassandra finally found something that could keep her attention for awhile - the paintings. Coming up to the first canvas, with the picture of a sun over a port city, her eyes absorbed every detail, black fingers hovering over the piece as they traced each stroke of color.

((- Dining Room -))
Immediately upon entering the dining area, Mykolai looked around in an attempt to locate a table with drinks on it. This proved easy enough, and she skittered over to survey the refreshments curiously. She was trying to find "nog", but she wasn't entirely sure what she should be looking for. What was nog, anyway? With the utmost care, she began peeping into the cups, being just barely tall enough to do so without actually picking each one up to look into it. Some of them were filled with water, while others contained a creamy-white substance that looked a lot like milk, but smelled a bit sweet. Was this the fabled nog?
Before she could reach out and grasp a cup, however, she nearly jumped in surprise-- another Excito had scampered between her and the table! Mykolai's mouth formed a startled little "o" as she spun around in an attempt to follow the purple blur's movements; when it finally stopped, she stared for a split-second in confusion before a smile broke over her face once again. It was another ornament Plague like herself! She looked up at the Servos next to him- who happened to also be purple- as the holly introduced both herself and the crumby-faced Phasmas, whose name was apparently Phillipe.
"Hello, Milena! Hello, Phillipe!" she greeted them in turn, the grin not leaving her face for a moment. "My name's Mykolai!" She giggled aloud as she noticed the similarity between herself and the other ornament. They really did look very much alike! "I like your speckles," she told Phillipe brightly, before turning back to the table and scooping up the drink she'd been eying before.
"I'm trying to find some 'nog'," she said, stepping out of the way of the tiny assortment of cups and motioning to the other two Plagues. "Do you want some, too?" She sniffed her own cup again- still sweet, with a hint of mellow spice- then took an experimental sip.
Delicious!

Shubin tilted her head slightly at Blaithe, puzzled at being called "Shu", but amused by it all the same. It was the first time she'd ever been given a nickname.
"It's nice to meet you, too, Blaithe," she replied with a smile. She'd noticed that the smaller Plague had only one complete leg; the other ended at around the knee, beneath which was a wooden peg-leg, decorated with a braided tassel. Perhaps that was the reason she had hung behind?
Shubin was just about to inquire, and offer an arm for the other Excito to steady herself on if she wished, when a caramel-colored Phasmas stepped boldly up to greet them. His appearance was unusual- the mistletoe couldn't recall ever seeing another quite like him before- but something about his gallant manners and frilly garments made the Caedos laugh despite herself. She could feel a faint red glow make its way to her face, not out of embarrassment, but in response to the open friendliness of the Plagues around her. This was shaping up to be a very pleasant evening, all in all.
"What a gentleman!" she noted, giving an abbreviated curtsy to Dolce. Feeling a bit silly, but enjoying herself all the same, Shubin held out a hand to place upon Dolce's arm, and motioned subtly for Blaithe to do the same; it would offer her some support while walking, as well. Making an entrance with a girl at each elbow, the Phasmas would look like quite a ladykiller!
"I would be pleased to walk with you, Sir... ?"

Phillipe practically beamed when he was complimented on his speckles, his white body almost seeming to glow in pride. It was at this point when he finally noticed his crumby state, and he gave an embarrassed squeak as he quickly wiped off his mouth and brushed off his hands. After this impromptu cleaning he went right back to his beaming grin, and Milena had to chuckle at just how cheerful he was.
Milena spied the drink in Mykolai's hand, even catching a brief whiff of the beverage. "Why, I'd say you've found your nog right there," she said with a smile. She was about to respond to the question posed when Phillipe pressed a cup of nog straight into her hand, the little ornament already holding one himself, having gone to get the drinks before the question was even asked. "Ah! I would have said yes, but it seems Phillipe was a little ahead of schedule." Both of the excitos took a sip of the drink at that point, and both seemed to give simultaneous sighs of happiness. This food, this drink, this company, it was all so grand!
"A toast!" intoned Milena, taken up in the moment. "A toast to good food and good company!" With that she raised her cup, little Phillipe following suit right after. Even though the two of them did not yet know of the prop books on the second floor, of the little musical instruments, or even of the paintings currently being admired by their companion in the attic (a companion who would soon join them again), they knew that they would love all that was in this house, and they could not wait to get there.

With the white flowered girl firmly distracted by hordes of both sympathetic and apathetic individuals, Clurie was carefully escorted away from the main hallway and towards the dining room, where his two entourages dusted him off with the soft pat of their hands along his arms and back. Clurie made sure to stand away from the table so that any of the ash that they were patting free floated a safe way away from delicacies on the table.
"Don't pay any mind to that powdered up dumpling, Clurie"said Micchi with a little frown of displeasure. One look at him could tell that he was still feeling quite bitter from the encounter, his shoulders still bristled up high near his neck as he glanced over his shoulder. Minori, setting Clurie's clothes straight on his shoulders, gave him a smile coupled with a simple shrug of her shoulders.
"There are plenty of others here like you to talk to," she said encouragingly, sweeping her arms out to the table of small little treats and taste-bud ticklers. Then she paused and edited herself, "I mean, plenty of other Excitos." She moved over and picked up a little powered cupcake, handing it over to Clurie with what he interpreted as a cue to forget and indulge.
Clurie picked up the cupcake, wondering weather or not the sweetness of the baked good could dampen the sourness of his initial encounter there at the Excito party. Stuffing it into his mouth with abandon, he watched as the Bell Plagues moved to the table to pick and enjoy the sweets offered. But he found that instead of being pacified by the cupcake, he was increasingly more disturbed. Minori's words stuck to him with an unsatisfactory grip, and when he looked around himself, he didn't see other Excitos to meet and mingle with, discover.
...He saw beings like him.
