Laiha watched the new boil's entrance with admittedly large eyes. Her hand-me-down candy cane still between her lips, she simply stared for a good few moments. Well then, he certainly knew how to make an appearance. She looked down at the smears of blood down her chest and sighed. Yes, she could use some help, and she would prefer if she didn't have to use any more of her bells. She hid hers behind her back and looked to the boil with what she hoped was pitiful desire.

Malodore nodded to Corbin when the crow arrived, a bit relieved that its fellow bell-ringer had made it through unscathed. "Were the mountains very cold?" it called. "Did you lose any along the way?" It rather hoped not - it had an odd desire for their car to make a good showing in the final battle.

... ugh, the final battle. If they ever made it out of this horrible festive hole...

Nuk wasn't more than a little behind Malodore as they started into Christmastown, making surprisingly little sound as his paws touched the snow, the only sound a light crunch. It was quiet. Too quiet. There was something suspicious about the quietness of the entirely-too-quaint street, the buildings bright and cheery and far more nightmarish than anything Halloweentown could come up with. The skinwalker's jet-black eyes swiveled as he took a slow survey of the surrounding area, his muscles tense beneath equally black fur. His ears stood at attention, one in front and one turned slightly, listening to the eerie silence.

It felt too much like a trap. Had Hellma set them up? He wouldn't put it past them -- anyone who had been listening to his conspiracy theories would know he suspected Red in a heartbeat, knowing how her devilish good looks were used to lure you in so she could take you down.

Pausing mid-motion, Nuk lifted his nose, taking a few sniffs of the air. Shehk was better at this stuff, but he had a feeling she might be irritated by the smell wafting through the air. It smelled like homemade pies. And there wasn't even any brains in them.

He was loathe to leave the water for a second time. Why couldn't this Sandy Claws fellow have built his home on that island back there? It would have made things MUCH nicer for Merope. But it wasn't possible. With a sigh, he dragged himself up the shore towards the gates, turning to look back the way he came for Mei and Cyrilla. He hoped the two ladies didn't take offense to his quick departure.

But... it looked like he had to wait a bit. He spared a curious look to the other students mingling around before he turned his attention to the gate itself. Was it made of peppermint? It certainly looked like a giant candy cane, and that student over there was eating one.

Merope leaned close to the pole and gave it an experimental lick. Then he stopped midway through the lick, his eyes staring at his snout. He tried to move. He couldn't. "Blaaahiggles." he cursed. The giant candy cane wasn't a candy cane at all! It was a giant metal pole painted to look like one, and his tongue was stuck to it!

Tari finally made it into town but it seemed others had made it. She was kinda of happy that the little annoying monster didn't seem to be around. Guess his short cut didn't work out like he had hoped. Still she hoped he wasn't TOO badly hurt. Little punk. But for now she could only stalk quietly as she could through town. The houses made her sick, she never cared much for candy. She liked fruit better.

"Aksaja," the lightning dragon replied to Maladore, nodding just a bit in return. He frowned upon mention of the JOY filled menaces on the island. "That must've been pretty bad. We ran into these huge beasts and monsters made of snow up on the mountain," he muttered, nodding toward the direction he'd flown in from.

Ah, and now more people were arriving... having a large group would be best to take on their objective, in his opinion. "I have no idea how dangerous this place is gonna be," he murmured. "Maybe whoever has bells should use at least one before we keep going?" Part of the reason for this was his own injuries... especially since they'd been obtained actually helping others grumble grumble. And he only had one Pumpkin Pill THANKS A LOT, you two-timing 'Cider Fairy'.

Wellp, so much for being cute. Maybe it was the snaggleteeth. Laiha turned to Aksaja and shook her head.

"Save them. We'll wait for the others, and we'll hand Sandy Claws his dismembered head."

Well then!

Shehk's entry into the town had only been as loud as Nukpana's, the Pricolici sitting alertly on the skinwalker's back, holding firmly onto his fur as he moved while she looked about with a somewhat serious look on her face. This place... wasn't very pleasant on her senses. Certainly the 'empty' was desirably, it was the scent that met her nose that made her nearly keel OFF of the skinwalker, however.

It smelt like...
.... afjskl;. Either way, Shehk leaned forward and buried her face into the skinwalker's neck, ears flattened down while she made a noise of pure suffering. Shehk had complained about bad-scents before, but the one that greeted her then was the cake-taker. Pie-taker.

Ew. It was so....sweet-smelling. She'd need something to cover up that horrid scent.

"Ugh..can you find something to rip apart and wear for a while, Nuk?" she whispered, letting go of the fur on the skinwalker's back to wrap her arms around his neck - an easier vantage point for her to keep her nose muffled from the scent of... death. At least, that was what Shehk imagined death smelt like. It was so horrid. And JOYous. "Please?" she added.

Though really the 'plead' probably wasn't a requirement.

"So you gotta ask yourself this question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?" A wickedly sharp candy cane swings into view, and you wonder if "lucky" is quite the word for how you feel right now.

A strangled, bubbling sound came from the leviathan's throat as the elf approached. He tried to pull away from the pole, but with his tongue stuck to it he didn't go anywhere. How was he supposed to know it was illegal to lick poles?! He flailed about as the much sharper candy cane hit him, trying to return the favor with one of his claws.

It didn't take long for others to join their haphazard group and Corbin doubted it would be long before most of the cars began to congregate in this town. He also doubted it would be long before some of them got lost; this place was gigantic and without having a map of this specific location, they would only have guesses to make and instincts to rely on.

Those weren't always correct. If he had his Flashbacks, then maybe he could touch a building here and there and see visions of where Sandy Claws had walked to get to his workshop but that sort of thinking was all for naught when JOY canceled FEAR out.

The Plague Doctor's question didn't surprise the Wraith and he turned his wrist to show all five bells, neatly in place and shimmering with JOY. "Not a one. You?" but then that three eyed ghoul looked at him so pitifully, all covered in blood. She didn't look as bad off as Hadiyya had been; she could stand and be expressive (though Hadiyya had been able to speak and text) but if all of that blood was hers then all it meant was she was a trooper and had a higher pain tolerance than the Marid.

Brows knitting in thought, the Crow's blue eyes locked onto his bells and he took one between two fingers, examining it. The desire to help was strong but so was his own need for self preservation. What if he used a bell early and they ended up really needing it? Then Aksaja said something along the same lines as the ghoul's face and he was nearly ready to part with one of his precious silver bells but the snake-like ghoul retorted with a snap and no longer seemed wanting of the bell for herself--or for anyone.

Emergencies only, that was what he had decided and Braum ordered. Corbin would stick to it.

Looking over his shoulder he saw Nukpana and Shehk enter the area, glad to see two others from his car arrive safe and sound. He had to wonder if anyone had been sent to the infirmary before getting here but there was no way to know without asking directly and that would be pretty embarrassing, wouldn't it?

"How should we go about this..." Corbin pondered aloud, craning his neck to look over the rooftops of some houses but other buildings towered over them, taller than some he had seen in Halloween. This place was so opposite, so backwards from what they all knew, it was off putting and enthralling at the same time.

And then, without warning, there was an attack by another Elf, this one seeming to be far too interested in Dirty Scary to be healthy. Corbin's dark wings flapped defensively and he hovered near the three eyed ghoul. At least this way he could keep an eye on her and use that bell if she really did need it.

As Cyrilla crossed the bridge, she lifted her head and peered around, looking to see where the Leviathan had gotten off to. It didn't take long to figure it out either, as her eyes landed on the boy.

With his tongue... stuck to a pole. She looked back towards Mei and then towards the boil. Racing down towards him, she caught herself and moved back as she saw a small, green and red dressed fellow with sharp canes going after her friend.

"C'mon Mer! Kick it's jack damned a**!" she called out to the poor Leviathan. If the situation wasn't exactly so dire, it would have been funny. She was certain though that it was something he boil could handle.

Stuck to the pole, or not.

He would have yelled I CAN'T EXACTLY KICK IT RIGHT NOW back at Cyrilla if he could. Instead, he merely bubbled and growled something in garble back at her before did the elf just throw his hat?! The boil flailed as he was hit, flinching. OW!

Merope swung in the elf's direction, trying to smack the elf with his tail. At least the tip of it hit him.

The icy path had been tough. Rocks, icy, yetis...it just hadn't been terribly enjoyable. Shivering as she walked together with Gabe, as they were still supporting one another, she wished briefly that she was fuzzy again. At least the way they were walking was warm...but she felt rather guilty, as the purpose had been to help him continue on and she felt herself getting more and more tired as they went. She feared the balances were shifting and that she was being more of a burden than helpful at this point, but she couldn't really tell.

It got easier when they reached the town, at least when it came to...uh walking. But much of the group had gotten separated on the last stretch, so she wasn't sure who was behind or ahead anymore. They'd meet up again sooner or later, though, that she was sure. She turned her head, looking at all the houses and the lights...she wasn't sure what to make of it. "This is...odd," she commented. She could see students milling about everywhere, though some were farther off in the distance than others. "At least we're going the right way."

She turned her head to look up at him. "How're you doing? The bell helped, didn't it? From your friend....um...Johan."
