Isolde raised her night-vision goggles to her eyes as the theatre darkened around them. They were cuddling together! Fabulous! Wonderful! Excellent!
Although she was starting to feel bad for watching them. Maybe she should just focus on the movie. She was sure they wouldn't do this to her.

Ask watched the previews and listened to the suspenseful music with nary a twitch. He was too happy to be scared by any of the silly tricks this movie could pull on him. Kei trusted him! Ask! Trusted him to keep him safe (from the teeerrifying imaginary monsters)
When Kei shifted closer Ask's mind momentarily stuttered. What was he supposed to do in this situation? Should he put an arm around Kei? Would that be moving too fast?
He decided that yes he should and no it wouldn't. If Kei was frightened he'd be looking for comfort. So Ask slid his arm up over Kei's shoulders and rubbed the arm farthest from him.

Kei was both comforted and distracted by the arm around him. It was enough to keep him relatively ok throughout the movie. There were still a few spots that made him jump and wish he could crawl into Ask's lap. He wasn't about to do that on their first date. He did make a mental note that in the future scary movies were only to be watched at home on the couch where snuggling was an option.
Soon the last survivors of the horror movie were driving away to safety and the credits were rolling. Half of Kei felt like the movie had ended too soon, whereas the other half felt relieved it was over. Reluctantly Kei began moving to get up. "Ugh I'm going to have nightmares for a week." He laughed a little at himself.

Isolde had slipped out about halfway through the movie to prevent her screams of terror giving her away, called Oliver, and changed back into her normal clothes with her change packed neatly away. She also restored her hair to its normal state with some dry shampoo, a bottle of water, and some product to keep it from getting crazy. She was ready to meet Ask and Kei outside of the theater, complete with a coffee for Ask, an iced mocha for Kei, and a chai for herself.

Ask giggled when Kei mentioned he'd have nightmares for a week. "You'll be ok. I'd know if some monster was going to come after you. And you made it through the whole movie, lots of people left." Unreal stuff like aliens didn't really frighten Ask. He slipped his hand into Kei's again.
"Come on, let's get out of here. Is there anything else you wanted to do whilst we were here?" He asked as he led Kei out the front door of the theatre, where he immediately spotted Isolde. He had a moment of sheer panic and indecision. Should he let go of Kei's hand? Should he pretend this movie hadn't turned rather alarmingly into a date? Gah!?
Ask quickly calmed himself and tightened his hold on Kei's hand. If Isolde didn't like it, then she wasn't the girl he'd thought she was. And he was a pretty good judge of character.

"You'd know and you'd come save me....I believe you." ]Kei happily trotted along hand in hand with Ask, and didn't even pause to think about letting go when they spotted Isolde. He knew she'd be ok with it, and probably even delighted. He grinned at her happily.
"Hey Isolde, how was your meeting? Me and Ask well.... we kinda ended up having a date, but maybe that's obvious..." He chuckled a bit, almost giddily and gave Ask's hand a squeeze. He could tell Ask seemed nervous, so hopefully some of his confidence would transfer over to Ask.

"I knew it!" Isolde squealed and thrust all three drinks as Ask so she could give Kei a hug, then hopped around. "I knew you two just needed some alone time. Also, here is a mocha for you."
Operation: Innuendo was a complete success as far as Isolde was concerned.
