User ImageNathaniel noticed the girl who sat besides him. They shared a class, right ? Cool. "Unless you're talking about the Muggles places called "Polo"... Professor." Didn't they have spots named like that on the other side of the sea ?

((GAH! Class got the better of me! Sorry for the delay!))

I watch and am about to explain the intricacies of Polo, but am interrupted by a Ravenclaw with a solved Rubik's Cube. My smile quickly fades as I narrow my eyes, "Er... Great job..." I say, trying to smile again, "Ten points to Ravenclaw for... such an awesome... feat." I say, attempting to maintain my temper. Without another word, I quickly summon it to my hand and open a drawer before violently tossing it inside and closing it forcefully.

"Now, as I was saying..." I start, the smile slowly returning.

"Polo is a muggle game played on horseback, like many of you have said. However, you might not know that it was created by a wizard by the name of Gondor Polo." I look to the class, beaming once again, "He fell in love with a muggle and gave up magic forever. Very romantic." I say airily, "Still, he had always loved Quidditch. The loss of the wizard sport drove him into depression more than once. So, he devised a game to mimic Quidditch for the muggles."

"Instead of brooms, they rode horses. Instead of the clubs the Beaters use, he gave everyone a mallet. In place of a quaffle, he used a ball. The entire point of the game was to get a ball through a hoop. This was the closest he would ever get to Quidditch, and he loved it. There weren't any snitches or enchanted balls aiming to maim, but there was the basic Quidditch atmosphere, and it was good enough for him." I conclude.

"Can anyone else tell me of a muggle sport they think was found by a wizard or witch?" I ask the class, looking around curiously.

Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain

Sparrow raised her hand after writing down notes about Polo. She said, "Was soccer created by a witch or wizard? It seems likely, because You have a ball and the point is to pass it around to score in a goal. Although there is only one goal it is large and there is a keeper or goalie to block the shots, much like Quidditch keepers and chasers." This thought seemed very logical to Sparrow. She had even played soccer as a child once when she wandered into a muggle neighborhood and joined one of their games.

((Don't worry we forgive you biggrin As long as you get in here every so often smile I mean this is much better than the muggle studies we had before where i cant remember anything we did lol ))

User ImageAh. So it was the sport afterall. Nathaniel didn't know if writing down all this was even necessary. But he did it anyway. He raised his hand too. "Is every game created by wizards related to Quidditch ?"

Lena

Lena wrote down notes about the muggle game polo, a game she had never heard of. That game was created by a wizard? Weird.. But brilliant. She thought. It did resemble a whole lot like quidditch. When she had written all the notes she wished to write she looked up at the Professor. After he asked the class about other muggle sport created by a wizard, she started going back through her memories. She had once played a muggle sport she really loved, it was called volley-ball. However, she doubted it was created by a wizard.. She thought about anything she knew about sports but none that seemed to be created by a witch or wizard came to mind.

Eriena EmmGryffindor – 5th year

"Well, there's a significant difference between cleaning a broom and cleaning a horse, Professor," Eriena piped up. "So what do these Muggles do if one of their horses has to, ah... go during a game?"

It was a legitimate question, right?

"Ugh," Adaleide said loudly as she took a seat at the back of the classroom. She loathed anything to do with Muggles, the filthy creatures. "What filthy muggle tradition are we learning about today, Professor?" she hissed through her teeth.

Eriena turned her head at the new Slytherin girl spouting profanities. Who the hell was she and why was she in this class if she was feeling murderous toward Muggles?
Waitasec... How did she feel towards half-Muggles? Eriena shuffled her seat away from the crazy chick and closer to the professor.

Lena

Lena looked around the classroom and continued to try and think of a sport that might have been invented by a wizard. A Slytherin entered the classroom and Lena heard her say something about muggles being filthy. She briskly turned around and glared at her, eyes narrowed. Some of her friends were muggles.. Stupid Slytherins.. she growled. Always thinking they’re better then others because of their stupid blood status.. She turned back around and took her muggle studies book out of her bag to leaf through it, wondering if it included anything about sports.

"Am I late? I'm so sorry . . . I got lost." Blaine said as she walked into the room. She quickly sat down as to not attract much attention.

Vapid Valentine

Vapid enters the room, it is obvious she is annoyed by the bitter look on her face. She takes an empty seat close to the front of the room, crossing her legs.
"It was a mess getting here." She said, an apathetic tone on her tongue.

Blaine looked over at the Slytherin girl who had just entered and nodded, agreeing with her. It had been a mess. Then she turned her attention back toward the teacher, though she quickly zoned out.

Adaleide sneered at the girl that had just shuffled her chair away from her. She hissed tauntingly in her direction. She then addressed the girl that had just glared at her. "You dare do that?" she asked, slowly approaching the girl. Once she got near enough, Adaleide reached forth and gently began twirling a lock of the girl's hair around her index finger. "I wonder what the professor would do if I just... pulled?" she whispered menacingly, gently tugging on the hair. "Don't mess with me. Mudblood." she spat the last word in the girl's ear before tossing aside the lock of hair as though it would infect her should she hold it to long. She walked back to her seat with a disgusted expression.

Vapid Valentine

Vapid watches the pathetic display, sneering at the Slytherin girl who is taunting her classmates. What a terrible excuse for a Slytherin. Unable to compose herself.
"Those who can't keep their mouths shut fall hand in hand with those who can't keep their plans quiet." Vapid says, narrowing her eyes in disgust.
Sending a glare in the way of the girl, she takes out a book and begins to write.
