Edgar chuckled and shook his head.
"I was gonna go talk to her for you, bro. See if I could get to know her a little, then relay that information to you."
It wouldn't have been the first time he did something similar for a friend. After all, the new girl seemed like she'd be very attravtive if she tried. And would probably melt hearts with a smile. Too bad he'd yet to see her smile.

Edgar looked around, noticing an empty desk next to her. he slipped from his chair, fluidly weaved between desks, then slid into the one next to her. He leaned over to whisper to her.
"Hey, you must be the new girl. I'm Edgar. I'd like to welcome you here."

Edgar pursed his lips and moved them to the left, his normal thinking position when mulling over a problem. He sat that way for a good five minutes before leaning over again. "You know...there's a Poet's Cafe every Friday after school from 4 to 5. You could always go there to read off some of your poetry..." Edgar assumed she was writing poetry. She seemd like that kind of girl.

"Mai. Get lost." ~~ "Mai Get Lost? My, that's an unusual name." One could almost hear the hamsters spinning on their wheels in Edgar's head as he contemplated the girl. She was going to have issues during lunch. The popular Senior girls LOVED to pick on the new girls. Especially the anti-social ones. Especially ones like Mai. He hated seeing that happen. That was why he left their leader. "You know, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, belle. You should smile more."

Especially since the teacher here loves to do partner-projects. most teachers do, as a matter of fact. And lack of friends means you fail to get important information. This school is very group oriented." Edgar was starting to admire this girl's stubborness. ((I think 5-1 means she'd end up hurting as well if she just attacked some chick for messing with her. not to mention she'd go to jail. So having her send some chick to the ER is a bad idea. Especially since they wouldn't hit her first. They'd know better than that.))

Edgar sauntered into the cafeteria, wondering where he should sit for the hour he had. It wasn't that it was hard, it was simply a matter of trying to to be seen with the same people twice. Too bad Alex ain't got this lunch period with me. That'd make this a whole lot easier.
