Ehh, I'm pretty stereotypical uke in some ways: I'm very short (165 cm/5'5'') and I've been mistaken as a girl more than once.
And everybody says that my ukeishness (is that a word? o.O) can be seen from hundred meters away by anybody who has even the slightest hint of brain inside of their head. sweatdrop
Back to the topic. When I try to think about proper reasons for this stereotype thing, I don't really find any. xD Everything can be denied with some logical replies... ^^;

sweetpoprocks Yep, ukes are normally pictured as small, cute, and girly. Semes are taller and more built, I guess. That switched around would be....interesting. Oh, I'd be interested in who's who in one of my favorite Fruits Basket pairing. Who's seme and who's uke? Yuki x Kyo.I think Kyou would be uke for the fact that hes not stronger than Yuki.

I'm a lesbian and my friend says that I would be seme but I disagree... I feel more like a uke... a verry tomboyish uke...
I would perfer to be dominated... but everyone thinks I would dominate. And I'm not really girly in the way I dress, but I have been mistaken for a boy, I don't know how, I was wearing a tight fitting powder blue jacket with fluffy cuffs and hood....

While both of them have damaged pasts, weak points, and skills in fighting, Yuki deals with his problems by being gentle and to himself. Most of the time, he's not outgoing in any way, and doesn't talk about how he feels because he's afraid of hurting someone if they get too close to him. Kyo, on the other hand, deals with his problems with voilence and anger. He's very outgoing and a rebel through and through. The only thing he hides is his past, but he hides it because he's afraid of it and afraid of what people would think of him. Wow...I guess I kinda...blabbered on and on...but yeah, you get my point...right?

Well...hm...I'm short (5'2") but most definitely a seme. Of course, my last girlfriend was even shorter than I was, but I'm a seme, even with taller people. That's not to say I can't do uke, I just prefer dominating.

If we need to seme/uke-lize me, I figure I would be a seme. Not an all dominatrix like, but rather protective (just so you don't get a wrong image of what I'm like XD)
I'm not really tall, but I'm not too short either. Rather short than tall though XD;;..

I'm fairly tall(bit over six feet) and, despite lack of experince, I've got gut feeling that I'd be uke, if presented with such a situation. Then again, I do fit into the feminine stereotype, sort of. Not all tall guys are muscular and masculine, and I'm living proof. The opposite is also true. There are plenty of short guys who would much rather be on top.

You could always just find a Seme that's taller than you sweatdrop
Don't worry about steriotypes (I can't spell emo ) though. You can be uke if you're uke.

I am 5' 7'', and I am seme with a girl, weather she is taller or shorter than me. I am uke with a guy, and I will only date guys who are taller than me. I perfer girls though.

I'm the seme, but I'm kind of a gentle seme. I'd be waiting on my Uke, bringing her chocolates, drawing her a bubble bath, ect. But I'd still be the one leading the proceedings.

I have the uke personality but I tend to act like a seme from time to time. o.o lol I love to lift weights and stuff but when it comes to relationships I tend to be uke and love it. ^-^ Weird I know. But it's life neh? heart
