Chieftain Twilight :sighs.: .... look to the past, people. none of this stuff is new. it's all happened before. non of these "revolutions" are just starting. this has all been going on for hundreds of years, maybe thousands of years. it stretches back far before the U.S. was even founded. don't get so caught up in the current events that you forget History. but don't ignore Current Events either. No one said any type of revolution was starting, just speculating on the premise that the founding fathers intended us to have a revolutionary war if need be and why no one's gone and done it yet.

No one said any type of revolution was starting, just speculating on the premise that the founding fathers intended us to have a revolutionary war if need be and why no one's gone and done it yet. lemme show you. Shadows-shine In my opinion the Tea Parties were a start to the movement, but I think if Americans want more change for the better, instead of the change for the worst that we received under Obama, then we need to do some thing else or more. regardless, that's not my point. what I'm trying to say is, things HAVE been being done, or have been trying to. it's alot harder than it seems. there is ACTUAL oppression going on, even deeper than I realy know. all I know about it is that people who try are not known about, or their works are lied about. it's all dumbed down, propagandized. I have been wanting to start a loud, uproarious revolution. I want to lead. I want to fight the power openly, and rally those who would follow me (and there are alot, save for their fear) against the tyrants. but all those who try get assassinated. and anything about them is covered up. some of them, are completely erased from history, and everyone who ever knew about them or what they said gone with them. but that is only if they catch them early on, so that none of us even know who they are. I only know that such folks have tried before, not who they are. some of them have their words erased or edited. or twisted around and used in political games. their faces and voices become symbols, not for what they were meant for, but to control the people with. they become written down either as heroic martyrs who accomplished some goal, or as evil villains who were defeated by our glorious nation. I knew that of course, and still wanted to be one of them... the only thing holding me back being that I won't dare risk the lives of the people I care about. but I've learned something just the other night that I'm terrified to know.... and the only thing I have for comfort is that I am a big enough threat to the system that if I were to so much start to make a move at organizing something they'd eradicate every trace of me from having ever existed. and you don't believe me. of course you don't believe me. who'd ever ******** believe me? even if you do believe me you don't believe me, because you know that believing me is dangerous. fine then. don't believe me. just don't for a minute think that I am saying this for attention. I'm saying it out of rage. it's not because I want to seem cool, but because I honestly believe it, and I hate it.

Aakosir I am not trying to be stupid, or whatever you may want to call me, but I have an absolutely serious question. Why is it that all we hear about on the news is that Atheists are making a big stink about Christian holidays and saying "under God" in the pledge and all. There are more religions out there. But why, why! is it only Atheists?
And just for the record, these are the reasons I do not watch the news... You need to stop watching Fox News. All news outlets talk about unnecessary topics like "which actor is going to rehab?", but Fox News is the one that steals my metaphorical birthday cake, if you catch my drift.

Lateralus es Helica Shadows-shine Lateralus es Helica Chieftain Twilight it's the principle of it. I have no problem with folks pledging allegiance, but it shouldn't be mandatory anywhere. also, it's not even just to the the Nation, it's specfically to the flag and the republic. what if I don't like the republic? what if I think that we can better uphold the Declaration of Independence in a different government system? I'm an Anarchist, I don't like the congress as we know it. the U.S.A. is just like the Ancient Roman Empire. lemme tell you something; many folks think the Holy Roman Empire was corrupt. it wasn't nearly as corrupt as teh Ancient Roman Empire, and in fact the Catholic Church did as many things for the common good and for the rights of men as they did terrible acts of political maneuvering. just like in america, the ancient roman people didn't care about their politics. citizens voted, but they voted for whoever bribed them the most. sound familiar? the Emperor had no real executive power, the Senate held all the cards. sound familiar? the Senate was just a bunch of rich cats who didn't care about it's people. they just took over land, leased it out to feudal lords, and controlled all the trade, so they could take from the poor and keep their excess luxury. sound familiar? meanwhile, they distracted the people with mindless entertainment (Whores, Blood Sports, Pornography, Comedy, Theatre, etcetera). sound familiar? republics are a problem. always have been. Interesting thought but my husband believes that the original founders of the United States intended for us to have a revolution once again if the government went corrupt, hence the right to bear arms. I think it may happen if the American people are pushed too far. It would happen if our value system changed. Right now I think there's entirely too many people out there that place value on material comforts, having a stable household and financial situation, etc. It's what fueled our economic system into the behemoth it is in the first place, we're easily encouraged that it is better to live an easier, more comfortable life in which our whims can be taken care of at the drop of a dime. Why look at society as a whole when there's materialistic wealth to pursue and then enjoy? Why should we have to make complicated decisions about what is best when we can just decide on what is easiest? Exactly, and that is the trap of capitalism- To make us feel like we are getting a fair deal while the wealthy gain power by our toil. We have "more than we did before" and "freedom" since there is a possibility of being poor or failing. Then they dangle things in front of us and market a facade of happiness that only they can sell, if we work for them to get the money to buy it. And we do.

It's just another aspect of us struggling with balancing religion and lack of belief. More interesting questions might be why Christians have latched on to Atheistic "attacks" more than other religious beliefs. Also why atheists only ever seem interested, according to the news and the various atheistic writings I've read, in disproving a Christian God rather than disproving deities as a whole.

I've always pondered the question as to why Christians feel that athiests are attacking their God too, when in all reality the atheist could be attacking all dieties. I don't know why some Christians have to be some judgemental or self conceited that they think that every comment made about a diety automatically refers to their God, and this is coming from a Christian. I always try and keep an open mind and if I don't understand or want to know more, I question things. There is absolutely nothing wrong with getting the other parties full point of view and adding it to our own.

Shadows-shine Aakosir Lateralus es Helica Aakosir Chieftain Twilight of course, that's only rhetoic, but the reality is that it's difficult to sepperate Church and State. laws must be based on Ethics, and Ethics must be based on some Code. whether you get that from one religion or another, or from no religion at all, doesn't stop the fact that folks of different religions (and interpretations of those religions) will have conflict over even the tiniest little differences in minor Ethical detail. That is true. Where do morals come from? Some of the times parents, others religion. But I mean, you could meet an Atheist who had more morals than a Christian! So where did that Atheist get their morals? Maybe from thought and opinion on how to live a good life. It's just rediculous, this battle over the dominating religion. That's what it feels like, after all. For most atheists I do believe it would be pretty accurate to say that morals are derived from those behaviors which enhance social stability or personal trust, with behaviors that cause a decay of that structure being avoided. Makes sense. It's just a shame that not everyone can follow those "rules".Well is it a matter that they "can't" or they "won't" follow the rules? Well, I do not understand why a person would not be able to follow rules. But I can kind of understand why a person would not want to follow some. They just don't want to, for some reason or another.

Well, it doesn't always happen during this time of the year. I hear a good bit of this stuff all year long. It's mostly about the constitution and things. Then the media twists it to be an attack on Christians...
And I would really like to know why Christians concentrate on these specific attacks. But I guess we will never know unless the media will come clean.

Because they're more used to debating against Christians and having to deal with their specific beliefs, at least in this part of the world. If we were in an area where, say, you had more polytheistic pagan beliefs, I'm sure a general disproving of deities would be more true. If we were in an area with more pantheistic beliefs atheists would either run themselves around in circles or not so much care, probably the latter if I had to guess.
