The dragon let out a piercing scream as the poison from Oni ran through its veins before subsiding into twitching, and finally death. The other dragon flew up higher, out of range of any attacks. It looked at the moon and seeing it would set soon, flew away with grim satisfaction. Takara drew forth three shuriken and threw them at the approaching demons, each one hitting its mark through the throat. The other two fell prey to her sword and lightning fast attacks. She took a deep breath, and looked about. Sensing no other demons nearby, she sadly lifted her gaze to the moon, knowing she was out of time. She could already feel the bindings on her dark side begin to grow weak and she fell to her knees, giving a shuddering, sorrowful sigh. Having no other choice, she pulled the blood red stone from her pocket and whispered one word.

"Initium."

The stone's red glow spread to surround Takara and a single tear slid down her cheek to fall to the ground, turning into a gem, but unlike the others, was a deep ruby red.

Tochi turned in search of the demons and looked at Takara. he saw the tear fall and turn to a gem. It didn't match the one that now hung around his neck.

The aura around Takara grew brighter, her body rigid with pain until a flash of hot-white light spread through the area. Once things were visible again, Takara could be seen, collapsed on the ground, though she remained relatively conscious. Her figure seemed to slower grow dimmer, as though she was fading away.

"I'm sorry, Tochi. This stone was my last resort in case I was ever unable to finish the spell. It was a stone of New Beginnings and it destroyed my dark side by tearing it from my soul; though there is a price I have to pay. Among other things, I will permanently lose all my memories and I'm to be transported to the area where I first received the stone. Unfortunately, everyone who has been in contact with me will lose any memories they have of me, and any residues will appear only in vague dreams. But my heart will always be with you, even if I'm not consciously aware of it. Perhaps our paths will cross again..."

Her voice was a soft whisper that seemed to slowly fade like her body. She was constantly flickering in between a solid and translucent state; the time was quickly nearing for her departure.

Tochi stood thinking, his fists clenching and unclenching.
"Like hell."
He consentraited on one of the rings he was wearing. As it begain to glow he ran towards Takara.

"Tochi..."

There was another brilliant white flash and Takara was gone as though she had never been. When the flash cleared, memories of her would disappear just as she did and Tochi would be brought back to the Pagoda as though nothing had happened.

---------------------------------

In Algatha Forest far away, a young woman stirred where she lay on the forest floor just as the sun rose. She felt her hand curled around a small smooth gem of some sort that felt like it was in the shape of a tear. She slowly sat up, filled with confusion as she rubbed her temples to ward off a headache.

What happened? Why can't I remember anything? My name....what was it?...Takara.....But how did I get here? Where is here anyways?...

She opened her eyes to look around at her surroundings, but saw only darkness even though she could plainly feel the sun's rays on her skin. She looked about puzzledly until it finally hit her.

I'm blind...
