"Of course I do." Xavier said, amused. He'd said much worse in regard to his mother. It was a bit of an unworded acknowledgment - she didn't talk about her father unless she had to and, likewise, he did not talk about his mother unless it became relevant. Even now, Bell didn't even know his mother's name, or where she lived, or what she even did to burn bridges so badly with her son. And if it was up to him, she wouldn't ever have to deal with it. Bell would be forced to deal with his mother over his dead body if he had any say in it.
Their situations had their similarities, but while Xavier had his father... Bell had no one.

Bell could have sworn such fowl language was something the academy had stressed as being unbecoming of a lady...but then again she hadn't exactly done her best in that class. That was fine though. Because she wasn't simply a lady, she was his lady - heart and soul.
"I am sure your definition of lady would make Crystal Academy face-palm then. Epicly. I made a C- in that class," Bell grinned, somehow finding amusement in her own failure. Her grade had suffered simply because she didn't have the most pristine of vocabulary, she seldom remembered the quote 'proper' way things were supposed to be done, like set a table or something equally as trivial. Indeed, the academy would have laughed to hear him call her a lady.

"Crystal Academy." He announced, as sweet as honey, with some extra eyelashes batting on top to drive his point across. "Can kiss my a**."
He would have failed the hell out of that class just by existing, that was for sure. He certainly didn't care about fancy schemancy this or that. "Do they actually teach anything useful there ?" He asked, amused. The fact that Bell had went to Crystal still bemused him. She didn't fit the type at all - there had been more than a few girls who scowled at him as he passed the campus on his way home, sorely because he had attended Meadowview. He'd never cared much for them.

Crystal Academy might could have kissed his a**, but she~ groping was not an option while sitting. So~
"Not really~" Bell tried to think back on her classes. The academic portion of stuff had been... Well...aweful. "Our history class should have been labeled business politics, our English and literature classes were terrible and this is coming from someone who has been in her fair share of Shakespearean plays. Math - hand me a calculator and don't bother asking me to do advanced algebra. Science, well, I'm pretty sure THAT got replaced with botany or something~" which would explain a lot. "Ummm...there was a lot more focus on manners and things like that." Which had been thrown out the window.
In the end, bell was not an exemplary Crystal Academy student. But then again, she wasn't St.Magdalene material either, and her only option had been to go to a boarding school.

"Bet it's quite a culture shock when they all hit Shlip." Or DCU, not that he'd ever went there. Sovereign Heights had been a minor culture shock for him - it was different than high school... in a good way, really. Xavier had been thoughtfully sick of high school in his last year at Meadowview and wanted nothing more than to go on with his life with something a little more constructive. It wasn't what he wanted to do... but it was better than being stuck in high school.
He'd never been Azure Valley material - he never pulled good enough grades, and his father didn't have the kind of money that would have made his grade a non-issue.

"It probably is. But at the Academy they really don't expect us girls to actually go out and work," Nope, most of them were expected to be married in to money. Pfffttt. Bell wondered though if she would have a hard time at DCU when she finally got her butt back in school. She should probably pick up an Academics for Dummies book or something...
"However I think I'm gonna go through with that theatre teacher idea. Maybe teach it in high school, where the kids are a little more responsible." Theatre was an elective she had wished the Academy would have had.
Somewhere between here and there Bell had managed to make herself comfy on his lap, and hadn't even noticed. It wasn't like it was uncommon. Personal space, what is that? Personal space had gotten thrown out the moment she had become a theatre-girl.

Personal space had gotten thrown up the moment he had taken Bell's hand on that fateful day at the Halloween carnival, at least as far as Xavier was concerned. And as far as it concerned Bell. Xavier wasn't exceptionally twitchy about people in his personal bubble, but he also didn't expect strangers to reach into it.
Good thing that Bell wasn't a stranger at all, hm ?
"I think that's a good idea." He smiled. "Im sure you won't have a problem finding somewhere to teach, given how many plays you've done."

At least now that she had some idea as to her future career she wouldn't be too embarrassed if someone asked. Because there was nothing more embarrassing then having to admit that you have no future aspirations for yourself. Which, again, without him, she probably would have gone on without any dreams. She'd have simply kept fighting this intergalactic war. Been a full-time senshi.
"I have you to thank, though. Because of you I can dream up a future for myself again," she smiled and played with his hair.

"Well, I gotta be useful for something." He said, amused, giving another playful bat of eyelashes. "Or else you wouldn't be keeping me around, no ?" He stuck out his tongue playfully.
He was practically asking to be smacked at this point, but as long as she was happy, nothing else mattered.

"Oh, I'm sure I could find some reason to keep you around," she teased. "After all, you're doing much better than that space heater at keeping me warm right now. And you are pleasing to look at~" She did find Xavier very attractive. She wasn't quite sure why, but that she did. She had half a mind to take that stuck out tongue as an invitation, but the question is, did Bell feel that bold? A second later it was decided that yes. Yes she did.

Oh, my. A trap ! This was a trap !
Xavier didn't seem too upset, really. There were certainly worse traps to fall into, hm ?
For now, he was actually glad she'd decided to stay right here, because now that he was snuggled up all warm and good against Bell, he wasn't sure if he even wanted to go anywhere else anytime soon.

If it was a trap, then Xavier had made it and fallen into it himself. Not that Bell was complaining, either. Momentary boldness dissipating, she curled back up against him, and pulled the quilt back in to place. She would, indeed, take him over a space heater any day, and the lack of wanting to go anywhere was mutual. Not that you could have payed her enough to go out in this weather anyway. Senshidom be damned.
So what was this bullshit about global warming?

It was indeed pretty damn cold. Winter might very well be Xavier's favorite season, but even he had his limits - he was certain now that it wasn't usually this cold this early. No way in hell. He pretty much had to bundle himself just to come here.
At least, unlike 99% of the senshi population, his fuku actually helped keep him warm. He would probably patrol tonight, on his way home, but not a second before that.
For now, his mission was accomplished, Bell was happy, and so was he.
