Tenma watched Paige begin to play with the snow, sighing when it crumbled apart and her face fell. He approached her, pausing slightly. All he had done was cringe? Fine, very well, but he could change that, couldn't he? He set a paw on her shoulder, shaking his head. "I saw a lake earlier frozen solid, we could play on that instead, seeing as the snow won't hold." He offered, moving away and to the side, glancing in the direction of the said lake.
"Unless you rather try and make the snow work, somehow?"

The vixen went rigid when Tenma touched her, a little shocked and unsure what to do. More than anything, she was squee-ing inside from the touch, because he seemed to be opening up and because she was liking him more and more, but she was also half afraid of scaring him off again.
Of course, she quickly recovered at the mention of a frozen lake. "Yay!!! How far is it? Have you ever skated on a lake before? It's a lot harder than snowball fights, and a lot more painful when you fall on your nose, but its still really really fun!" She nodded energetically, but stayed seated so not to be too bouncy and startle the handsome fox that was so close.

"Heh." He let out a soft chuckle, unable to stop himself. "Hahaha, you know, you're kinda cute." His face was actually smiling, a strange sight for the male. He turned away from her, his face relaxing as he padded off. "Follow me to the lake." He mused absently, his voice calm as if nothing had happened. In the back of his mind he was thinking about his fathers, of how much he probably resembled Yuki.
He turned to see if she was following, turning back. The lake was in view, and when he approached and slid onto it his claws dug into the ice, keeping him from sliding to far.
(OCC:// How about Paige falls into the water, and Tenma saves her?)

((HAHA! I love it! -literally lol'd- Next reply, she shall go down~))
The little tri-colored vixen gained a fourth color in her cheeks, but much to her relief he turned and hopefully didn't see. Taking a deep breath to settle her tummy, she padded after him, placing a cheerful grin on her face. "Thanks! You're cute too!~" Sticking out her tongue, she couldn't help but wonder if maybe she was actually easing him out of his shell. Could she really have that effect?
Once at the lake, Champagne's eyes widened. It was so pretty! She had seen a frozen lake a time or two, skated on them, even, though not well, but this one... It was somehow prettier than the rest. Her eyes also widened at Tenma. "You... you've skated before! Why didn't you tell me? I was just rambling on about things you already knew, and you just let me." Grinning, she poked a paw at Tenma, then stepped carefully out onto the ice.

'Because it's cute.' He thought, instead merely skating away from her, tail flicking. "Because I probably can't stop you from rambling." He mused. "I've been traveling a lot, so I guess I missed the snow, but I didn't miss ice. So I learned how to skate." He said, watching her carefully. She was near a thin spot, slowing his speed to watch her.
"Stay away from the spots that look thinner, Champagne." He warned, claws stopping his skating and keeping him in place as he watched her carefully, purple eyes narrowing slightly.

Champagne smiled. He was most certainly talking more! Then his words registered. Wait... Thin? She looked down. "Uh-oh." She had been paying attention to the dashing fox out on the ice and the breathtaking view, and hadn't watched where she put her paws. Swallowing, the vixen carefully lifted a paw and set it down in front of her, leaned a little weight on it, then did the same with a second paw, third paw, fourth paw... Slowly she inched forward, until she felt her first paw touch more solid ice. Letting out the breath she was holding, she looked up at Tenma, smiled, and suddenly vanished.
With a loud, ear-splitting crack the ice gave way, and suddenly Champagne was surrounded by a bubbling silence. She lost all sense of direction, paws flailing in the water as she tried hard to find 'up'. Whipping her head around, which was a bit difficult when completely submerged, she noticed a light. Light! Swim to the light! Wait... Don't swim to the light! Wait... Champagne started to panic. Light meant sun meant air, but she heard stories of dying foxes going into the light.
The vixen squeezed her eyes shut, trying to stamp down the panic that was engulfing every fiber of her being. Then, all was calm. A peace drifted over her as she drifted into unconsciousness.

"Thats goo-" He stopped as she vanished, eyes widening, panic rushing through him. Champagne! He had warned her, hadn't he?! Why had he thought bringing her on ice was a good idea? Well, it wasn't! 'Aren't you a damn genius! Great, going to kill your friend here? Idiot!' His legs darted forward, stopping at the edge of the ice, eyes scanning. She was not moving, floating to the bottom of the lake. His eyes flashed, leaping into the ice cold water without hesitation.
He swam straight for her, teeth biting into her scruff as firm and yet unpainful as possible, which was hard. He struggled to swim upwards, turning and releasing her neck, swimming under her and pressing his back into her stomach. He'd push her upwards. The male forced himself to the crack in the ice, shoving Champagne as hard as he could until she was sent flying out of the water and hit the ice. Ungraceful, and probably would leave a bruise, but it was all he could do to save her. Weakly, he clambered out of the water, shaking himself off in the bitter cold, gritting his teeth.
His ears flicked back as he approached Champagne, resting a paw on her chest to help her get water out of her system. He pressed down, released, and pressed down again, worry in his eyes. "Champagne?"

Champagne hit the ice with such force water came rushing out of her lungs instantly, but it wasn't until a paw began to assist her that her mind kicked into gear. Freaking out for a second, she scrambled to her paws -a very impressive feat on ice, though it left her in the most awkward of poses- and began coughing up more water, eyes so wide and scared it didn't fit the bubbly vixen at all.
After a good minute of heavy breathing, she looked up at Tenma. He was drenching wet... Had he fell in too? No. The look on his face showed concern that wasn't for himself. He saved her.
"Tenma." She breathed, before scrambling up to him, accidentally falling on him, and licking his ears and cheek and head fur.

Tenma laughed lightly, relief in his eyes. "Oh, you're safe. Thats... thats good!" He happily let her lick him, nuzzling her in relief, curling around her to give her warmth. "I thought you died." He whimpered, nuzzling into her fur and sighing roughly. "I told you to be careful." He didn't say this in anger, rather in worry and fear. He wanted her off the ice, wanted her on firm ground to leave her somewhere safe. Right now the hero was enjoying the affection, and trying to warm her. Hypothermia was not fun.

"Hmmm... I thought I did?" She waved a weak paw over his back, then shook her head. "Nope, no wings!" Champagne sighed and nuzzled him back. While he continued to surprise her, she decided she would just relax and enjoy it and stop worrying about being careful not to startle him again. Careful... "I tried to be careful with my steps... but that doesn't always work, I guess!" She let out a small laugh, which was followed by a huge shiver that about rattled her teeth.
"Maybe... we should get off the ice?"

He blinked at her, frowning. "What about wings?" He asked, standing and helping her up by nudging her into a standing position. Quickly he skated off the ice, gracefully landing in the snow and shaking himself off. The male was full of strange things, he couldn't make a snowman and yet could skate? He was just glad Paige didn't think he was creepy, purple eyes flicking to eye her.
"Well, come on, sparkles." He said teasingly, however he eyed her as if afraid she would throw the joke back and get angry. She wasn't that kind of vixen, right?

Champagne giggled at his confusion from her wing remark. Blushing slightly, she gently shook her head. "Don't worry about it!"
Taking a deep breath, she skated to the bank with almost as much grace as Tenma had. She had skated a few times before, and while she loved it she was still a bit clumsy. Of course, she could be a bit clumsy on solid ground, too.
"Sparkles?" She grinned when she stepped into the now-paw-deep snow. Something glittery caught her eye just then, and with a laugh Champagne realized it was Tenma's fur. Her fur, too. While she figured the nickname referred to her golden markings, it actually fit them both perfectly. The water had frozen in their fur, making it sparkle! Laughing, she poked a paw at her companion. "You're quite glittery yourself!"

] He looked down, laughing lightly. "I suppose I am." He shook his fur, the crystals flew off, glittering as light hit them. Beautiful, they were beautiful. He turned to Champagne, relieved she was safe and sound. Slowly, he approached her, extracting a ice crystal from her hair, smiling at her gently before moving away, looking out at the forest.
"There is more snow now, perhaps we can make a snowman afterall?" He turned to her, his hair flopping into his eyes, wet from the water and snow. "Lets try together."

The vixen grinned, a sort of shaking feeling coming over her that just wasn't a bad feeling... How odd. Moving a bit slower than she normally would have, so he didn't think she was playing, Champagne reached up a paw and moved Tenma's hair out of his eyes. "There. We can't make a snowfox if you can't see, now can we?" She could feel her cheeks starting to warm up.
Giggling, Champagne bounced a little ways from the lake, cautious after that little dip, and plopped down to test the snow. This time, the ball didn't crumble or blow away in the breeze. "YAY!!!" She cheered, beaming at Tenma. "The snow is thicker now! Perfect! Ok ok, so like I said before, you start off with a ball, like this, and then you make it bigger, like this!" She dropped the snowball and began pushing it around with her nose. As the ball rolled, it picked up the snow it rolled over and grew bigger. "You try!"

He blinked as she moved closer, eyeing her. He didn't move away, staying in place until she bounced off rambling about snow. He flicked his tail absently, padding after her and stopping to examine the snowball she had made, poking it lightly with his paw. It held firmly, if denting because of his poke, but still stayed. Curiously, the male glanced at Champagne, having watched her make the said snowball and wondering if he too had to nose around in the snow and look like a fool doing so. Well, being a fool at times wasn't to bad.
Carefully, he used his paw to collect snow, padding it until it was firm and in a semi-circle. Pausing, instead of using his nose he rolled the snow with his paw, satisfied when the snow rolled and grew bigger.
"Like so?"
