Dawnpaw turned to Ashpaw. "And what would that be?" Turning back to Brackenheart, she thought it over. "Sure, but we have to get Stonekit, Greykit, and Nightkit back to the nursery

Dawnpaw turned to the kits. "Sorry guys, practice is over. Come on, race you to the nursery."

Ashpaw laughed as Dawnpaw raced with the little kits, he smiled as he saw she let them win, he padded quietly up to her as she was playing with the kits and whispered, "come on Brackenheart is getting impatient" he said although there was no hurry in his tone

Dawnpaw rolled her eyes at the 'urgency' in his tone, but sped up anyway. "I wish we were warriors, I want to be a mentor soo bad! Too bad the kits will be apprentices by then."

Ashpaw shrugged, "there will be others, and im sure you will mentor many warriors in the future"he said nuzzling her flank, before speading up to join Brackenheart again

Dawnpaw laughed and pulled up to the otherside of Brackenheart. "Now I want to stay this young forever." she tried to twirl but failed. Miserably.

Ashpaw laughed and nudged Dawnpaw with his shoulder, pointing with his tail to the trail in front of him, where leaves were falling at a fast pace, and with a mischeivious glint in his eyes, he leapt forward and began trying to catch the leaves between his paws

Dawnpaw smiled meschieviasly (sp) as she kicked some leaves on him.

Ashpaw fell and rolled in the leaves pulling Dawnpaw down and leapt at her sending leaves flying

Dawnpaw was about to shove him back, about to throw more leaves on him, when she realized that they were on a hunting patrol. Shuffling, she stood up, embarassed

Ashpaw then realized the same thing, he stood quickly brushing leaves of his coat, "im sorry Brackenheart" he murmered hanging his head, his heart still beating in excitment

Dawnpaw laughed, despite the trouble they might be in. "Brackenheart, you have to admit, being younger is sooo much more fun."
