Nyx had cut the fish up into small cubes for Loki, so he could eat, and soon after lunch Sybil had come by, and after a bit of a conversation with her even if it was only one sided. She got Sybil to agree to take Loki for the afternoon, and then awaited Samael to return so they could talk.

He finally arrived and made his way into the den, announcing his arrival and shaking some snow off his paws.

Getting up from the blankets Nyx stretched and then padded over to Samael and nuzzled under his chin, "I'm glad to see you've returned, Sammy," she said with a bit of a caress to his name. While he had been gone for the morning she had done a lot of thinking, and though she was afraid of losing him, do to different feelings and creating awkwardness between them, she knew enough that words needed to be said, otherwise all the more hurt that could be caused later.

He was a bit surprised to see Loki wasn't there and hoped he didn't hurt the pups feelings with just up and leaving the way he did, but he wasn't about to be pushed around by a pup, no matter how much he called him papa. He smiled when Nyx approached him and he nuzzled the top of her head and horns, "Sorry for leaving like that." he apoligized.

Nyx smiled lightly and nodded, "it's alright, I understood," she said and then went and sat herself down deeper into the den where it was a bit warmer.
She took a moment then to collect herself trying to figure out where to start from. "Sybil came by sometime after breakfast, she's taken Loki to go play... he's so light hearted and carefree and full of energy. He's sure to be a handful..." She said, even though it wasn't where she had expected to go with things at least maybe it was a start, and after a long pause as if it was another thought entirely she added, "maybe we should talk some..."

He stood by the entrance to lick some snow from between his paws, but then made his way over and laid down in front of her, patting his tail on the ground lightly, "That is he, I am sure he will be a fine male when he grows up." he commented. When she said they should talk, he tilted his head, "Very well."

Nyx settled herself down near him, at first she opened her mouth to say one thing, but then closed it again. This repeated a few times before giving a sigh, "is everything alright Sammy?" Still finding herself fighting with herself for the words she really wanted to say, the words that would change everything.

He got a confused look on his face, tilting his head a bit, "Yes, everything is fine." he exclaimed.

Nyx nodded a bit and looked over at him. *Lately you get me all flustered and tied up inside, everything is a flutter whenever you're close. There are times I just want to scream because I fight back telling you how I feel...* she started thinking letting her thoughts rush through her trying to figure out what to say, that was until the last three words of her thoughts came past her lips rather then staying in her head, "I love you." Her eyes then went a bit wide as her ears registered the words and her voice, and she looked away from him and down at her paws, afraid of what his reaction might be. It hadn't exactly come out the way she had planned.

When she went quiet, the demonic got very confused because she usually just spoke her mind. But when she blurted out what she did, his eyes went wide and he seemed to freeze, "W-what?" he whispered out, his heart feeling like it was about to beat out of his chest.

Nyx sighed and looked up at him slowly knowing that she would have to face the fact that she said it sooner or later, and well it was so much easier if it was just soon.
"I love you, Sammy" she said again, and gave him a light but slightly nervous smile, "I have for a while now, I just haven't been certain on how to tell you. And well I'll understand if you don't feel the same way, or feel like you ought to go... but I'm not going to be afraid to say it anymore. I love you."

He felt like he was dreaming and he was half tempted to pinch himself to see if he would wake up because he only thought this would happen only in his dreams. But he finally snapped out of it and slowly stood up and approached her, having no expression on his face.
But when he was close enough, he nuzzled the top of her head and curled himself around her, purring deeply, "I love you as well Nyx, I have for a long time." he whispered softly.

Nyx watched as he stood up, and for a moment her heart dropped, thinking that he was going to leave, that things were to be better left unsaid. But when he approached her she found her heart began to beat faster yet again, and when those words came from his mouth she about wanted to cry with joy, nuzzling up against him purring as well she whispered, "Sammy" with a tender caress to his name, not thinking she could be any happier.
After much play with Sybil whom now he called Aunt Syby. Loki padded back up to the den entrance with a big grin on his face, clearly have caused enough mischief with her to have her sending him home so soon. Peeking his head into the den he caught the last few moments of Samael and Nyx's conversation, hearing Samael tell Nyx that he loved her. He couldn't help but chirp up, "NOW will you tell me what love means?" He said coming in and pouncing on the two of them, before scrambling up onto Samael's back and nomming on an ear.

He happily continued to nuzzle her, a smile on his face. But he blinked his eyes open when he heard Loki's voice and felt his small weight on his back and he sighed in slight annoyance. He wondered if anyone from his extended family would be willing to babysit? Maybe Cornelius' brother? The younger demonic always said his brother 'enjoyed' watching hyperactive little ones. "No Loki, I will not and that is that." he said a bit sternly.

"Aww ok..." Loki said tilting his ears back slightly from disappointment. But soon the perked up again and he nuzzled the top of Samael's head, "papa... mama... you two are the best parents ever!" He suddenly exclaimed and then hopped off of Samael and started rolling about.
Nyx sighed slightly hearing that Loki had returned already, but as soon as he was back to him typical antics she could help but laugh happily, and she leaned over and nuzzled Samael when Loki said they were the best parents ever, because just then it truly dawned on her they had become a family.
