Summer had gone by really quickly, and now it was time for the Pumpkin Festival. Nanami was there yet again, as she was every year, anxious to get to carve something. She wouldn't consider herself a physically strong person, but she was capable of carving a pumpkin, and she wasn't bad at it. It was kind of therapeutic, too, and so she always looked forward to the Pumpkin Festival, especially since the Art Festival had been cancelled this year. She wore a home-made cat costume -- she wore one of her typical kimono blouses, but she wore black leggings, and had a pair of cheap cat ears on. She had broken out the face painting kit she attempted to use at several past Art Festivals, and drew a black spot on her nose, as well as some whiskers.

Haruka had been too busy to come this year, and so Nanami dragged along her brother. He had managed to miss the point of the whole festival, and wore his usual suit yet again. They were an interesting duo, one in formal clothes, the other in a thrown-together cat costume. And she couldn't consider herself a good older sister if she didn't give him crap for it.

Mei had also come to the festival, even though she really wasn't that interested by pumpkin carving or the free food. She was interested in the costumes, however, and after that first year of not dressing up, she decided to dig through her closet in search of something. All she had was a reindeer costume she had worn to her ex-girlfriend's work Christmas party. It may have been a strange thing to wear, but it was better than not dressing up at all, right?

Kotone walked into the festival area, pushing a stroller. She was by herself this year, for various reasons she didn't care to talk about, but that was fine, she was content as she was. She was dressed as a princess, so she obviously had the best costume ever, and that was her motivation to coming by. Aside from the free food, of course. Since the first time Shinju had been kidnapped, she had come to appreciate food that didn't require book or videogame money. Of course, she considered herself alone, but she had brought Peter, too. She had decorated the stroller (she didn't feel like dealing with a wiggly preschooler, so it was easier) with ribbons and streamers. Peter himself sat quietly in the stroller, a wide smile appearing on his face as he saw the other costumes. He was dressed as a unicorn, as his mother had been the one to pick his costume, and she liked themes.

Also arriving at the festival were the Park sisters, River and Elliot. Elliot had been greatly influenced by working at the circus, and so she dressed up as a clown. She had grown fond of the costumes clowns got to wear, though she disliked the colorful kinds, and wanted to give it a try. Before leaving, Alex had said that she looked perfectly creepy, wearing a white clown outfit with such an expressionless face.

Next to her strolled River, who had thrown together an unusual Asian costume together. She had thought she would just wear the hanbok again, but her thought process had taken a strange turn. Instead, she took the men's kimono she had gotten for Daniel when she went to Japan (and that he left behind when he moved) and hemmed it to that it fit her, though the sleeves were still a little too long, and it was baggy. Of course, that wasn't enough for her, and she wore a Komuso over her head. For the first time in her life, her decision had been TOO complicated.

"...River, what are you dressed as again?" Elliot asked after a long, quiet walk. Because of the basket, she wasn't sure if River had heard her, or was even looking at her.

"Huh? Isn't it obvious?" River questioned, her voice muffled from the straw basket. "I'm a samurai. But samurai aren't allowed in the red light district, so I have to wear a disguise."

All Elliot could do was wonder why a basket would ever be considered a good disguise, and why her sister thought they were in the red light district.

Aleksey arrived at the festival in a pirate outfit, like he had said he wanted to when Mei had visited him. He hoped she was also dressed up as a pirate too! then that would be awesome! Aleksey had taken it even further and not only dressed up as any ol pirate but as one of the Captains from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean! He was Captain Barbosa! Minus the beard and long hair! Aleksey searched for Mei and anyone else he knew. When he spotted Mei Aleksey frowned. A reindeer! But but! Oh but she was sooo cuuute! Aleksey ran up to Mei and tapped her on her shoulder. "Pryvet! Mei! It is Aleksey from Russia!" Aleksey said in excitement. "I thought we were to be pirates?" Aleksey added, not that he really planned that one. "You look cute as deer." Aleksey said with a smile before he hugged Mei, tight and then released her.

Xeiro the Scotsman_.Mitsuke the Scotslady__Beatrice the Bumble Bee___Lyra the Witch______Todd the Cop_____Tatyana the Cop____Riley the Tranny

Xeiro was feeling pretty damn sexy in his Scotsman’s outfit. He had made it a point that the entire family get out together, especially for such an occasion. All of the big Rameris; Xeiro, Bela, Mitsuke, and Beatrice; left the babies at daycare for the day and went to pick out costumes for this fine occasion. So, there was really no way that he’d let any of them back out of it. He had even talked his sister into getting a matching costume like they used to when they were younger. She had been more sober than not lately and was actually becoming tolerable, that was a good thing and meant that she would be allowed back into the family. He smiled over at Bela, who looked beautiful as always, and then to his sister. "Ows me kilt, sistah?” He laughed and leaned over gently and tugged on the bottom with the hand that wasn’t holding Ryder. Where else would his trophy child be? His only child at that. It would be absurd to think that she would be anywhere other than in the arms of her muscle-y father. He was holding her on the side where the strap was, this was the best way to ensure that the most of his muscles were showing and looking great.

He looked around the area, not many people had arrived yet, which meant that not very many people would be able to notice how hot he was. That was bullshit. He sighed and moseyed over to a spot that seemed nice and pulled Ryder away from his hip and began acting like he was going to bounce her in the air. “How’s daddy’s big girl? Huh? How’s daddy’s big girrrrrrl?” He smiled at her lovingly and kissed the end of her nose. She was just so adorable, especially in that adorable little costume that mommy had picked out. Well, truth is that it was mainly all of the girls that picked out anything. But, he filled out his costume quite nicely, so he was doing his part.

_________________________________________________

Mitsuke, however, was not as excited. Sure, she was happy to get out of the house, but it was a late night that she could be drinking. Well, could be drinking if some whore that will go unmentioned hadn’t dumped most of her alcoholic beverages out. The nerve of some bitches. She seemed to think that she had some ulterior motives in saying she needed to exercise. She was really only looking out for the bimbo’s health, but whatever. She was distracted by Xeiro and his stupid-ness though. It was always pretty refreshing to hear whatever he had to say and this time was no exception. His accent was absolutely ridiculous, but she couldn’t resist laughing and pushing his arm gently. “That accent’s a little off, bruthah.” She continued laughing after hearing how silly she sounded as well and then looked down at herself. They did look quite stupid, but it was a nice remembrance of a nicer time.

She stopped next to Xeiro and reached over to pinch Ryder’s thigh. Of course she didn’t use much force; she was just a baby after all. It was nice to get out and have times like this. The sound of Xeiro playing with Ryder and the feeling of the cool fall air just made everything seem okay. She looked over at Beatrice in her adorable little costume and at Lyra in the stroller in front of her. She even felt good enough to semi-smile at Bela. This day was just beautiful and in a super sappy way she was happy to be alive. Ahh yes. It was all almost enough to make her never want to be too out of it to miss it again. Almost.

_________________________________________________

Beatrice was happily pushing the little double stroller. She didn’t want to let Lyra take away from Bela’s costume, after all, or at least that was the excuse she used on Bela to convince her that the stroller was a good idea. Xeiro had insisted he keep Ryder away from Lyra as long as he could possibly stand, which was usually until he found some girl he wanted to go drool at. Beatrice might be young, but she was old enough to figure out a simple mind like Xeiro’s. She went around in a little circle so that she could stop the stroller beside Xeiro. She walked around the front and began shaking the little wand that went with Lyra’s adorable little costume at her. She smiled down at her happily and continued shaking the little wand as if she were performing some little spell on the little angel. “Hey there little Lyraaaaaa~” She continued smiling down at her. Being the little aunt she was and mostly taking care of the kids herself… She was eagerly hoping that Lyra would say something. Anything! She had started saying a few little things, but obviously being Xeiro’s, she was so darn stubborn that you couldn’t force her to say anything.

_________________________________________________

Lyra loved outings oh so very much! She was kicking her little legs eagerly as she went over the little bumps of the grass. She was giggling and smiling at each little leaf that was breaking from the trees and especially at the sight of her family in front of her. She had her hand clutching Alphonse tightly to her chest; she couldn’t go anywhere without him after all. She was even more filled with joy when she saw her favorite little Aunty Beatrice appear like the magical lady she was! She began reaching for the wand that was being touched close to her face. She enjoyed reaching for things, after all. “Bee! Bee!” Luckily or maybe unluckily, it was quite impossible to tell the difference between if she was saying her aunt’s name or the costume that she was wearing. She was still kicking and reaching happily either way.

Todd thought that a tight costume would perhaps up the gym’s awareness and get more people to be all Oh Em Gee~ That guy must work out! I wonder where?! Which he would reply with Ladies, ladies. You can see this *flexflex* at Exercise R Us located right over there *pointingflex* and then the ladies would swoon and ask to squeeze his biceps and he’d act like he was embarrassed, but quickly succumb. He looked over at his two siblings, hoping the images of their revealing outfits would take him back to a normal state of mind. Some girls might like to see a preview of the package, but most would think that was a big no no. Luckily, they both looked really disgusting and it made him shrivel rather than just go to normal. It was a good thing for his attire, but felt altogether… odd. He didn’t really want to mingle with the family, but he had no choice. There weren’t very many people yet. He thought about going over and saying hello to the Rameris, but they had quite a group already with them and a personal trainer didn’t need to meddle in personal affairs.

_________________________________________________

Tatyana, of course, loved the get-up. It was only once or so a year that she got to actually dress like a complete whore and not lose her reputation. This was one of those great days and she even had the awesome heels to match. Every girl had to own a pair of hooker heels, so it was only natural that a shoe shopper such as herself would have a pair. They had even been on sale! Double good! She tugged gently on her little cap, trying to make sure it wasn’t making the hair that was seen look stupid. She knew she looked damn good and that most people would be too busy staring at the cleavage to even notice… but if someone were to notice, the hair needed to be good. She stopped beside Todd and crossed her arms. At first it was just coincidence, but a quick glance down led her to keep her arms crossed and her chest higher. Hey, she was working the whore look tonight. She looked over at Riley, who was falling a little behind and couldn’t stop laughing. He was just so pathetic. She became so overcome with laughter that she squatted down and was holding her knees tightly waiting for the moment to pass.

_________________________________________________

Riley couldn’t help his heels getting repeatedly stuck in the grass. It didn’t make matters any better that Tatyana kept laughing at him, almost to the point of tears at this point. He rolled his eyes at her and kept walking along. He lifted his hand and ran his fingers through his hair quickly, making sure there weren’t any free leaves in it or something. Sure, he had lost the bet while playing poker in their hotel room the night before, but that didn’t mean that he was wearing a wig. He drew the line at that s**t. He was wearing all of the makeup though and every other piece of outfit, including these dreadful heels. Not like he even needed them, he was now about six foot six. He wasn’t one to complain about being tall, but he kind of felt like a freak. But the leggings nor leather nor most of his skin being revealed did. Sure, he really didn’t look much like Dr. Frank-N-Furter, but if he had a lot more tattoos and slightly bonier… then they could be twins. He stopped walking in front of the two of them and reached his hand, dawned in fake nails, towards his package for some good ole adjusting. The leather was quite uncomfortable. He totally should have rethought wearing another pair of underwear under them.

Bela James-Rameri & Ryder Rameri & Gemma Rhodes

As it came to be, all the Rameri's with James blood in them were dressed as witches. It was quite humorous, actually. Bela had been looking for a theme to go along to, but after finding all these great little witch costumes, she couldn't find anything even remotely that could fit Xeiro. At the time, she thought, how about Harry Potter? But then, after a moment of thought, she was disgusted to have even thought of dressing up her husband as some teenage nerdy wizard. So. She instead got him the most revealing male outfit, because who was she to deny him to show off his physique? He worked hard for that s**t! But she was, again, rather resentful of him for bringing Mitsuke along. After that little s**t decided to send her with Xeiro to the nice little gym that other time, she had, exhausted as she was, dumped all of Mitsuke's alcoholic beverages. ******** whore, nobody crossed Bela James!

However, for once in a long time, she was feeling quite sexy. It must have been the outfit, which was tight as all hell... but sooo worth it. So her smiles looked more radiant than her dim, dull grins which she had been so accustomed to making. Which was even more of a surprise when she found the other woman semi-smiling at her. She looked back with something achin' to skepticism. So, instead of dwelling much on the 'Exotic Dancer' or the father/daughter duo, she moved to kneel besides Beatrice to coo at Lyra.

Lyra's witch outfit was much more cuter than Ryder's, she had to admit, and she filled it out so well! A lone finger gently caressed her daughter's cheek lovingly, before pulling back to let her keep playing. "Shouldn't the little witch have her own wand? I had no idea bumble bees knew anything in the slightest about magic!" she smiled over at Beatrice, followed by a short chuckle. The girl was always such a big help when it came to the girls. And, as it was, there was few people of any interest here to Bela's interest. Yet.

_____________________________________________________________

Ryder was wearing the most non-skin reveling outfit out of all of them. Honestly, you could barely see anything but her face, hands and the run around of her head. This would be much to her father's pleasure, as it drew less attention to herself; boys and ***** aside. Daddy had no need to worry about any of that stuff!

So when Daddy lifted her up in the air, she giggled with delight. Anybody else who did this other than Daddy, Mommy, or Beatrice, and she'd cry. But she loooooved her Daddy too much to cry. She was happy! Furthermore, so happy was she, she wasn't bothered in the least that Mitsuke had come to pinch her. She even smiled that toothy smile of hers at Mitsuke, before settling again on Daddy. She could receive praises from the adults all day long if she could. Ah, this was the life~

_____________________________________________________________

Gemma, on the other hand, arrived in a much more flashy, literally AND figuratively, than usual. Damn female outfits always being so sexyfied! Now nobody would take her seriously! She was short, she was weird, and now she was dressed in a rather sexy outfit. Yeah, way to go, Miss. Rhodes! What had the label thing said? Gypsy? Dancer? What was it? Well, she imagined she was some kind of sexified Gypsy, because the outfit even brought a tambourine; she didn't have it with her, though. Left it at home with Matthew, who was sick with the flu. He had wanted to come, actually. Poor thing, what rotten luck he had!

But enough of that, she was here now. The first person she noticed that she knew was Beatrice, who was off a little a ways with a woman and a baby. She guessed that was the sister in law and babies from that essay she wrote that one time. This brought a smile to her face. She really was such a good girl.

There were a fe other faces she knew from the school, though not personally, and others she would see in a few years. All the children looked so cute! And here she was, looking like some kind of slut. This was a bad idea. Oh, look, a reindeer girl. She looked just like Rudolph, how adorable~! This really was such a fun festival~

And that's when she caught sight of a certain familiar green head of hair, accompanying a cat woman of some sort, who was, as it would be, Nanami. Gemma hadn't worked nearly as hard on her outfit, just her hair. Her hair made the outfit, dammit! Maybe Nanami would notice her now? Like she did that bodacious rose hair colored woman with the huge mega tits. Yeah. But looking down at her outfit, she didn't feel so confident anymore. Hopefully, Nanami would pity her and approach her instead. This was a bad idea, she shouldn't have come.

-Eleanor LeBlanc, Rune LeBlanc, Hayden Rusacanth, Rachel Fate, & Julian Parker-

Honestly, Eleanor didn't mind that much to have the kids dumped on her. Perhaps it was a suicidal action, taking care of five of them on a festival that gave them candy which would make them hyper. Nah, it would be fun! She wanted some time out with her kids, normally and contrary to some author's belief, she did spend time with them! It wasn't her fault Yoakim usually took Wilhelm out first. If Rune were his real daughter she'd pit it against him... but eh love made a woman soft, and softer than her usual nature was just plain laughable. Today was mother duty, which was only more enjoyable dressing up, and that's where her twister outfit came in. "Five..." They were all together, good... Five... Both Yoakim and Ellie were sure there were four... but then the kid with saddle was dropped on them. And John started riding the child... After a couple of minutes trying to save it, Ellie finally stopped pulling John off Eet.

In the bundle that was with Ellie, Rune tagged along bouncing happily in her little eskimo outfit. It had been a battle to get out with this one... considering Yoakim wanted to send her out like a mummy, or anything that covered as much. Rune hadn't cared much about how much it covered, but when she couldn't move and tripped over the length of the attire she began to complain. The other option was almost a school uniform, and then there was the eskimo one. "Quentin... Why is John riding Eet?" the girl asked her cousin. Wasn't the other one a kid too? Sure John had called Eet his cow, but then he left... so Rune wasn't entirely sure to believe him. Eet didn't have spots... but it was white... Well she didn't get it. Obviously Eet was something else. It didn't matter much because as soon as they could carve pumpkins, Rune wouldn't worry about them, for now she was curious though.

There would not be a Pumpkin Festival Hayden would miss. It just brought out the kid in him. Though this time it could be debatable what it brought out. The male decided to come as Hugh Hefner? Well he wasn't entirely sure, but it did have the playboy bunny insignia, so it must've been that. Hayden pulled it off and that made him happy, now it was time to make it work. He wondered if he'd see anyone he knew this time. It didn't take much searching to spot that familiar redhead, which looked quite ravishing in that outfit. "I knew I was missing a kitty back at the mansion" joked the blond with a grin as he approached the two and toyed with the pipe in his hand. Such a silly prop. He didn't smoke, so he felt pretty silly with it. Silly or not, it went with the outfit, so it may just give him a boost in the sexy and handsome department. Once he stopped thinking about the pipe, he noticed the male there with Nanami. Who could that be?

"Romane you look fine. And don't start again, the skirt is just not that short." It had taken about an hour to convince Romane her costume was fine, and another one to convinced her that her own skirt wasn't that short. Which it was, but Rachel had to milk those few years of sexy she head left! Besides, it also went with the sexy/cute combo she wanted with Julian. While the mother was a baseball player, Julian trotted about as the cookie monster. He was already walking, so the blond was right behind him as he attempted to dash about seeing so many people. It seemed to confuse him because at every dash, he'd hide behind his mother's legs, only to head forward again, and repeat. He had gotten so big, and babbling at everything, like now. Sure nothing was understandable, except one word. Cookies. Goddess that kid loved to eat. It truly would be a miracle if he said mama, but so far it'd be cookie, and food.

Alice hadn't planned on coming to this festival in the first place to be honest. After almost getting suspended for taking things too far at a Halloween Party in high school, she hadn't exactly loved the event after that. Pip wanted to come though, and after putting the 'It's Miah's first Festival' card, rather drilling, into her head, she finally gave in. Keeping the spirit of the festival, Alice came in a sailor outfit, that she had to admit, she liked. Miah's outfit had been another matter. It had been a battle of the outfits... which eventually teetered between pumpkin or panda. Alice had agreed on pumpkin, or so Pip thought, because at the last moment and practically kicking him away from the door to leave the little blond bundle was dressed as a panda. "You have to admit... she looks cuter this way" said Alice, a bit smug that she got her way. Oh he'd suck it up... he'd better.

Pumpkin Festival! Ah a nice festival like this was what Julia needed to get her social life going. At least that's what she told herself anyways. Last few years she had come to the festivals, but went more low-key and was in it for the candy more than anything. This year she got a cool vampire outfit. She figured it was cool, but she was still a bit unsure of it... It showed in her continuous shift when she stopped walking. Maybe could someone tell her it was fine, and she'd be confident about it... but so far it wasn't going well... Julia found herself watching some of the people here. Oh there was a genie who seemed to be as off as her. But she didn't know her so-Holy... that is adorable! The librarian's eyes practically shone at the little pipsqueak in an octopus outfit. She couldn't help it, she had to go over there, and take a look. Which Julia obviously did. "Excuse the intrusion but that is just so cute" said the woman once she approached the mother and daughter duo. She assumed as much, but she'd correct her thoughts later, right now it was to drool over the octopus.

In the mayhem that was a festival, and underneath the many pounds that John weighted, was Eet. The child struggled enough to carry it's step-brother, er... owner for a few feet. Eet probably could've done more, but it tripped on it's clothes and fell face first on the ground. Not to worry, it was fine. Oh John? He might've experienced some turbulence but he was just fine atop the saddle that was on top of Eet. It took a bit for the kid to get itself up again, wobbling to get some balance and then trot on to carry John... until the blanket came to it's way again and Eet fell forward... again... Though this time it stayed down, muttering a very small "Eeep..." at the pain the ground gave. Eet was used to most hard surfaces but this one had rocks... can't blame it for hurting.

And out of all the outfits Phileo had to drag to the circus, he had to have a Santa Claus one. Oh excuse me, Mrs. Claus. It would've been just fine for the holidays, but noooo... Another carnie took the only decent one, Sierra took the conservative one, and then there was this... It didn't look bad on Lucia, not at all, but to her it didn't seem appropriate. Phileo said it was fine... maybe he was right, it just didn't go with the spirit, but... the spirit was her! She'd make it work! With a nod of determination Lucia continued her way through the festival until she noticed a familiar face. Who had even more familiar clothes. Oh dang it she should've thought of that! "Elliot!" called out the girl before approaching her now clown friend. "Oh I wish I had thought of that one... It looks good! Phileo got me with this one" she added with a small laugh before striking a silly pose. Oh what could she do? Work it that's what dammit!

"Oui... i suppose she does, Alice. 'owever next year it will be t'e pumpkin! Because she is my little pumpkin, arent you Cherie?"
Pip said with a smile as he looked to his daughter and pinched her cheek gently. Pip himself was dressed up as a skeleton, it was mostly makeup actually. Which had scared his daughter about 50 times over and she was still weary of the one eyed skeleton following them! So he was really only wearing pants and boots. His hair he had left loose to blow in the wind. "You also look very good Alice, my ot'er Cherie." Pip said with a smile to her before he leaned over and kissed her. "Oh t'ere is Integra and Walter. Bonjour!" Pip called out, before he searched the crowd for more people they knew. Pip did point out Bela and her family the kids looked adorable!!!!!

Integra and Walter arrived together, the stripper was wearing an Elvira costume because goddess knew she had the figure for it. Those boobs fit perfectly in that dress, her pale skin went great with the dark makeup. And she had used some temporary dye to change her hair color to a deep black.
"I totally enjoy the panda outfit better than that pumpkin thing Pip was showing me."
Integra added with a laugh. "You realize your traumatizing your daughter with that makeup Pip. But Alice you look adorable in that!" Integra said with a smile as she circled around Alice to get a better look at the Sailor outfit she was wearing. Integra also looked around to see if Nanami was here.

Lightly rubbing her neck, Integra turned to Walter who was dressed up as a ventriloquist doll he had the makeup done superbly and his suit along with a crimson bow-tie went all too well with the costume. Some slicked back hair and the butler was looking rather creepy. "My my. isn't she a cutie? And the baby isnt bad either, Ma'am." Walter said with a smile and a laugh, as he spotted Alice, Pip and Miah. Honestly he hadn't been home much lately.. too much time consumption with keeping four women locked up at the Sonata's. Mind you he was only doing it to keep his job. "Evening Ma'am its been awhile, hasnt it?" Walter said gently. "Now.. the key is, is to let your cute kiddo get all riled up on candy and then hand her off to Pip to torture the ol boy some more." Walter laughed jokingly.

Surprisingly, Nanami hadn't been the first one to notice Gemma, mainly because she was having quite a bit of fun doing her best "I'm Yuuto, I have a huge stick stuck up my a**, and I don't know how to have fun" impersonation (she had perfected it when she was twelve) and just wasn't particularly conscious of her surroundings. However, the green-haired man was, as he had been tuning her out for a while and found it helped to look around. When he spotted the brunette, he raised a hand in polite greeting. She was his coworker, afterall. Unfortunately for him, his sister had noticed, and followed his gaze. NOW she noticed Gemma.

"Oh, that's lame, that's not how you do it," she shook her head with a smile before grabbing his wrist. She then took his arm and moved it high over his head (she had to stand on her toes) so that it looked like he was giving Gemma a large, enthusiastic wave (not counting his expression, of course). The man quickly yanked his arm away and shoved her away, his face pulling into an embarrassed scowl.

Nanami grinned, feeling that she did a satisfactory job as an older sister, and waved at Gemma herself. "You look cute!" she called over at her. And she probably would have gone over to talk to her, when she was approached by Hayden. For a moment, she was confused. Mansion? What mansion? Ahh, but then she put two and two together and recognized his costume, and laughed. "Hey Hayden. Nice costume," she greeted him, glancing him over. It wasn't a costume she ever would have imagined him picking, but it looked good, and wasn't that what mattered?

Yuuto continued to frown. He wasn't sure what he thought of a man in a bathrobe talking to his sister like that. He didn't seem like the kind of person he would get along with, at least. "I don't get it," he commented softly. Nanami rolled her eyes. "Ignore him, he doesn't have an imagination." And with that, Yuuto let out a sigh and went off to go watch the festivities on his own. He didn't understand costumes anyway. What was wrong with wearing normal, tasteful clothes?

"You enjoying the festival?" Nanami turned back to Hayden with a smile after watching her brother walk off. She didn't really need him for company anymore, did she?

Mei was standing off by herself, playing with the hood of her costume, when she was greeted cheerfully by Aleksey. "Mister Aleksey, you don't need to introduce yourself! I know who you are!" she replied with a smile. But that smile didn't last for long, because soon he mentioned pirates, and her smile vanished and her face paled. She forgot! She completely forgot! How could she be so terrible and forget about a plan between friends? Ahh, stupid Mei, you finally make a friend and you ruin it because you forgot to find a pirate costume! Before she could say anything, she was pulled into a hug, but the moment he let go, she began bowing apologetically, on the verge of frantically. "I'm very sorry, Mister Aleksey! I forgot all about the pirate costume! I'm really sorry!" She stopped bowing and looked up at him timidly. He was so large, what if he got angry? ...Well, he didn't look angry, but still. That didn't mean that he couldn't change his mind!

Elliot didn't have much time to dwell on her sister's strange taste in costumes for very long, because soon a female voice called out her name. And it wasn't Zhi's. For a brief moment, she wondered who would be coming up to speak to her, when she turned and saw that it was Lucia. Ahh, that made sense. She would have smiled, if smiling was something she was comfortable doing. "Thanks," she replied simply, the corners of her mouth twitching (hey, she could try). "I like your costume, too. It looks nice with your hair." Lucia looked good in red! Elliot always just looked like a tomato. "Phileo picked it for you?" she tilted her head to the side inquisitively. Of course he did. He did things like that. Somehow Elliot had managed to avoid that side of him for the most part. It was probably her face. Some people just didn't react well to it.

Oh, the Pumpkin Festival! It seemed like such a cute idea and, really, Kade didn't know why he hadn't come at all in the last few years he had been there! It was like the perfect thing for him – going out to play in the middle of the night dressed up as something~ It felt like the one time of year he would ever get to have very much fun with his wardrobe now that he had decided to put a stop to his crossdressing and.. cutesy clothing. If Junior wasn't comfortable with it, then Kade would do what it took to make sure the boy was comfortable! He had to make it up to him, especially with all that happened. So, it was only on the Pumpkin Festival that, Kade decided, he would come dressed in whatever he wanted! Tonight? It was a bunny outfit! He didn't wear the heels that the outfit recommended, but, hey, it was much more comfortable in white dress shoes and.. he felt like he was already kinda pushing it with the bunny ears and the pink and white ensemble. At least he wasn't in a skirt? He shrugged and fixed the cute ears up as he looked over at Theresa, who was giving him probably the flattest look she could muster, something he wasn't quiet used to from the woman.

He creased his brow and smiled at her slowly with glossed lips, trying to seem as cutely innocent as can be though he knew fullwell what she was about to start griping on. Ah, since when had Theresa become such a nag? “...What?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

..Ah.. Junior stood between his Aunt Tess and father, slowly feeling more and more suffocated as the tension grew between them. Well, mostly from Theresa's end, but he still felt the tension and he didn't like it! He wanted to run off and hide before an argument started because he knew it was about him again. Was this Junior being mopey and pathetic? Nope. It was the gosh-darn truth! Theresa had been angry over his costume since he first put it on that night and.. even if Junior was kinda embarrassed in it and he didn't really like being dressed up in what felt to be pajamas, he didn't mind. Really! He just.. he just really wished he had actually gotten something like the cool werewolf costume he was picturing instead of the wolf puppy costume he got.. But, if dad liked it, then he would wear it. It wasn't like his social life was going to plummet anymore as a result of some 'cute' costume his dad got. He was just happy that uncle wasn't there to make fun of him so he could 'build some character'..

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

You know what, Kade.” Theresa snapped back at him, a frown on her lips – something that she wasn't accustomed to having. Theresa was normally more laidback than that, but, well, she was acting kind of moody lately. God knows why – she hadn't a clue! She just knew those small annoyances had suddenly become abrasive enough to make her actually act like it was a crime. It wasn't that her snap didn't have any groundings – a look at Junior's silly costume was enough of a reason to irritate some! Right? ..Well, it had better be right or else Theresa would get mad at herself for being mad over something stupid and, thus, increase her agitation. “A puppy?” She questioned with a motion down to Junior, who shrunk at the action, “It's Halloween, not –

It's, um, actually –

I know.” Theresa stated with a look to Kade before breaking into a sigh and shake of her head, “I got it. Okay, just.. next time,” She said firmly with a stiff stare at the man and a cross of her arms, “I pick the costume.” ..Alright, so she probably didn't look that intimidating with the silly wig she was wearing, but, hey, Bride of Frankenstein just had to have the funny wig and it made Theresa smile to see it. What could she say? Giant wigs were fun.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ahh, this costume was so stuffy! Catrina was in a scowl from behind the little white dog mascot head she wore, walking awkwardly into the square with her eyes squinting through the screen inside the costume to see if she could spot anyone around the square. Dear Lion, how did any dog see a damned thing through these eyes?! She had trouble understanding how a dog could have been at all formidable at the tomato festival when it had to see like this! She hissed something out as she tried to walk with her usual catlike grace, but completely failed as the oversized feet had her walking stiffly and with much more weight than she was used to. Combine that with the fact she was hating every second of wearing this costume and she looked as though she was stomping with every step! Why did she have to wear the stupid costume?! It wasn't like anyone made her – it was more so that she felt like she had to study dogs better so she didn't get her feline behind handed to her again – and that was by becoming the enemy! The Pumpkin Festival was the best place to do such a thing and not look weird – or at least she didn't think she looked weird.

Oh, well, she would have to find somewhere to – AH!! Her eyes widened as, suddenly, a shape through the screen formed and she could see quite clearly the biggest rat she had ever seen before in her life! She felt her stomach hop in excitement as, without any second of hesitation, she dashed off towards the ginormous rat to run into him and knock them to the ground~ “MIYAV!! I got you, you tasty dinner~!” She yelled excitedly as she wrapped her arms clumsily around the rat to try to pin him.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

John was as happy as a clam as he sat atop Eet, pulling on the shoestrings he had tied around it's mouth to better steer it like a good little cow! His dad had been so happy to see him in costume that morning that it, too, put John in the best of moods, enough so that he was smiling brightly and humming songs from all those movies that dad made him watch the night before so he could better get into the mood of his character. How often did he get to be a real cowboy? ..Well, according to dad, all the time, but John only really felt like a true one when he was wearing the sacred hat and atop his faithful steer, Eet! ..Faithful steer who hadn't moved in a few seconds.. Impatient as a little boy could be, he looked down at it with a frown in both concern and inquiry, “Eet? Eet, you gotta keep going so we can get to the pumpkins, Eet!” He said as he kicked it's side softly with his boots like he had seen the cowboys on TV do. Pumpkins meant food and, if the television and pumpkin pie had anything to say about it, they must be tasty too~! He already saw a big table full of nothing but pumpkins, but he had to ride Eet there or else who knows how he'll get there?!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Entering the square was an entirely unexpected arrival!! ..Alright, no, it was entirely expected. But, what the man was wearing wasn't! The mayor of Sonata Town, Gaston himself, had come not in his beautiful robes and princely attire, but, like his wife who was accompanying him for once probably due to some kind of bribery, were both wearing.. Walmart clothes! Yes, they were dressed as mere peasants that Pumpkin Festival! Why? Because it was the most horrifying costume Gaston could possibly think of – not to mention the experience of having to tell his servants to go get him some clothes from Walmart was more than enough of a frightening moment that he still had shivers running down his back as he wore the uncomfortable and not perfectly fitting attire, all pulled together disgustingly enough by a blue vest with a bright, yellow smiley face and a white, bolded letters of, 'How may I help you?' on the back – yes, one of the actual Walmart employee vests! Ah, the shame! But, it was all in good fun – he was sure he would be considered such a humble king to be able to mingle with the peasants like he was~ Even his children were out!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Speaking of children, Lilia, the older of the twin girls, was being pulled right beside her father in a little carriage built specifically for the one year old, all white, pink, and otherwise beautiful in craftsmanship. Pulling the toddler along was a pair of large pink poodles, their heads held high and panting as they lugged the small child the entire way from the mansion because Lilia wouldn't have had it any other way! Inside the carriage with the toddler, who was smiling in an arrogant fashion that she had learned from daddy, was a small pink poodle puppy – and then herself! Wearing a matching costume that she looked positively adorable in or her name wasn't Lilia Sonata! She was going to wear the stupid Walmart clothes, but she kept crying and screaming until she got what she wanted – like always. She stroked her dog with a few giggles as the puppy turned her head to look around the crowd, her own eyes on some of the people there as well. Oh? Is this what peasants looked like? Lilia smiled widely and laughed – they all looked so funny! Oh, she didn't know that peasants were actually like the funny people on TV! What a treat!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Now, in a surprising twist, it wasn't Kade that had come dressed like a whore – no! It was Finnian! He didn't wear any make up and, nope, he didn't have a wig on, plus it was sneakers rather than heels, but the cheerleader outfit he wore was enough to make someone turn their head and arch a brow, then maybe ask if he was a twenty percent off on festival days like some of the NPC hookers down by the peer that he was sure didn't exist, but those NPCs could be rather tricky! He had just declined the third gentlemen to ask him that as he went into the square, pom-poms in hands and flicking his head this way and that with a look of determination. Why was he dressed as a woman? Well, aside from the pumpkin spirit, it was the only costume he could really get to fit! Finnian had had to ask Phileo to borrow something and, since the man was rather cold and distracted whenever he spoke to Finnian, he was quickly directed to the man's free-to-use costume trailer! Inside of which were several costumes and.. not one that covered more than a little bit of skin. In fact, Lucia had apparently taken the most conservative outfit there before he arrived.. so, the man had simply went with what fit and dashed out to the festival!

To join his fellow employees and support the grand feelings that one gathered from a healthy coworker relationship! He was about to head to Lucia and Elliot when something caught his attention. ..The fellow boring businessman from that one event he couldn't remember! What was his name? Oh, who cares – all he knew was that the man had the most perfect disguise of boring and thus had to have an alter ego! So, excited to see someone who was possibly better than him, Finnian had made a turn from the girls to run straight up to Yuuto and wave a pom-pom in his face, “Ah, fellow easily overlooked and completely average businessman whom also enjoys normal pens of a completely not supernatural matter! It's pleasant to see you today! As you can see, I have come dressed in what normal men wear for a costume party..” He paused to look at the other's suit and try not to frown. ..Why.. wasn't he? Had Finnian made a mistake?!

..I – ” Romane had stopped herself as she was about to start once again on Rachel about how the woman did have a short skirt and Romane herself looked completely silly out of her uniform. ..Not to mention, the clothes were scratchy. She carried the baseball bat that had come with her costume and frowned as the hat she wore provided shade over her eyes that was completely unnecessary at night and only further hindered her from seeing if someone was coming from above – not that she thought so, but.. she always had these sudden feelings that someone would climb a lamppost and then leap on her from above.. It was odd, but at least she hadn't shot any of them.. recently. The redhead looked over at Rachel in disapproval, frowning at the skirt once again, but she didn't want to prove the other correct in her assumption that Romane was about to start again. So, she kept quiet and simply rambled on in her mind about how Rachel looked like a complete hussy and – ..ah.. She raised a brow as she caught sight of all the other women – Eleanor included! “..I am going to point out, Rachel, that you appear respectable when compared to the.. other women to arrive.” She said with a pointed look at the strippers and ex-stripper in the crowd. There, she hadn't let Rachel be right and she still got to say her two cents. Win for Romane.

Hayden's attention followed Nanami's call to Gemma for a second before returning to the redhead. He grinned at her reaction, quite proud of being able to pull it off. Well, least that was what she had gathered from it. Hopefully he was right. Er half way. The other didn't get it... and was only shut away by Nanami. "If you say so. Though you seem to have plenty" replied the male, referring to her costume. Aside from the kitty years, he didn't know what she was. Like she, he agreed looking good was what mattered, and she was just fine so he wasn't going to delve in that mystery for long. "I am actually. And you?" A moment after asking, he glanced over to the poor genie over there. "I would Gemma could use some company."

Rachel couldn't help but laugh a bit listening to Romane. "Oh come on! It's a festival. Live a little Romane!" the blond said with a smile. Hey, she was a single parent, and Julian's dad was like a magician popping in and out when he could. So why was she looking to enjoy herself more then Romane? She should be moping and taking care of her kid! But that would be boring... "Now you and I, and Julian are going to carve pumpkins. Are we clear? Either that or I'm... doing something with your job, I don't know. But you are carving pumpkins." With that Rachel grabbed her friend's hand and her son's before dragging the two over to a table. Time to have fun~

Of course, Pip hadn't quite gotten the message from Miah that the girl didn't like the costume... yet he still kept poking at her. Which caused the baby to scream and scream, at least until he stopped pinching her cheek and left to search for other people. Alice shook her head at him and his musing, although returning the kiss. She knew she looked good, it was the blessing of being petite. Her body was already almost back to normal, something she'd rub in at Bela if it wouldn't bite her in the a** later on. "Thank you Integra, glad to see someone thinks the same as I do" said Alice with a grin. "I do appreciate the compliments, you're not looking bad at all yourself." As soon as she had said that she was met by Walter... "You on the other hand are a bit cree-" And there went Miah again. "-py... She's not so big on Pumpkin..." said the girl with a half laugh before craddling the baby for a bit to have her calm down. "Just leaving her with him in that makeup will have her torturing him... and us."

One thing was sure... Shoestrings did not taste good... It was better than dust, or not exactly cause they had dust in there. Maybe the other slime, dirt, and grime the strings had collected gave a better flavor than dust. Eet tried to get John there, but there was too much of a struggle for a good deal before Eet fell again. This time it took the kid more than a few seconds to get back up, and in a fit of adrenaline it moved quickly to the table... before running straight into a leg on one of the wooden tables... which left the kid on the ground seeing birds twirls above it, and John free to go get candy and pumpkins. "Eeeee..."

Lucia met Elliot's attempt at a smile with a wide one of her own. It was natural of her to be with a smile, or talking... or yelling... Yes, yelling sounded more like her. "Thanks yourself" she told her before chuckling at that inquisition. "Yeah" the girl said, drawing out the word. "It was either this or the cheerleader costume... Which would NEVER happen" added Lucia emphasizing what she could. Damn Phileo! Sierra would tease her about how much of a... inadequate girl... Phileo would encourage it, but Lucia knew where she stood. To be honest she was just loud and annoying... but her desperate moments could be misinterpreted as something else. Whatever that was she was clueless. "So, having fun here? We have to get candy you know-Oh! I call dibs on what you're not eating. I could do with a pumpkin though..." Now her excitement had her rambling...

Aleksey laughed and patted Mei on the shoulder but it came off more as a slap because the Russian wasnt aware of his own brute strength. "It is okay Mei! We can doing it next year, da?" Aleksey said with a cheerful smile to her. "You looking so cute as tiny deer. Yesterday there being nice family of deer eating my fruit. A big buck, a doe and a baby. They letting me pet them until my worker... ah.. i forgetting his name. But until he came along and then the deer ran away." Aleksey said gently. "How has things been going? Clinic is good? Mei is good?" Aleksey asked sincerely. The Russian quickly got distracted when he spotted Rachel and Romane. He perked up and smiled and waved to them. "Pryvet Rachel and Romane!" Aleksey shouted over tiny Mei. He ceased his wave and turned his attention back to Mei.

Mei was so tiny and adorable, Aleksey wanted to take her home and pet her. But that could result in a mess.. a good mess but a mess nonetheless. Plus when he had kissed her it had scared tiny Mei. So that was not good. He did not want to be scaring people. Oh what? Mei was talking right? He had asked her a question, yes he had to pay attention!
___

"Oh.. the poor baby. Walter and Pip why dont you two head off. Stop scaring the baby!"
Integra said as she slapped Walters arm and then pinched Pip's, to shoo them both away. "I would say we could find the little girl a pumpkin and have her paint it.. but with the trauma from earlier i suppose its better not to even look at them." Integra said with a light chuckle. "Only problem with that is that they are everywhere! Look at what you did Pip you scarred your child from pumpkins for life! You horrible father." Integra scolded jokingly.

"What?! I.. 'ey! I didnt mean to! i.. " Pip tried to defend himself to no avail. He looked to Alice to have her help him out. But that probably wasnt going to happen, not today. no defense from his Cherie. He was all alone because he had upset his baby girl! Damn! It really hurt him to see his baby girl all scared. He hadnt meant to scare Miah so badly! Really it had been an adorable costume on her! Maybe one day she would see his side and dress up as the little pumpkin she truly was!

"I know.. i will find a little pumpkin and paint eet for 'er to make up!" Pip said with a smile. "Come with me Walter." Pip added before the two males went off. Pip pretty much dragging Walter off towards the pumpkins.

"Anyways.. you want to see if we cant find some nice soft mushy candy for little Miah to eat?" Integra asked Alice. Of course Alice didnt have to hang out with Integra, if the woman had other things to do she could go. "If you want that is, no pressure really." Integra said gently.

Sabine had heard some buzz about a Pumpkin Festival as she passed through the streets on her way to her new home. She even saw a few people dressed up in outfits such as a reindeer, pirates and what appeared to be a Scotsman. When she got home she dug through her clothes until she found a Little Red Riding Hood costume that she had gotten a year back. This should work for the festival.. Shouldn't it? She shrugged off the thought and changed into the costume, hurrying off to see what this festival was all about.

She followed a few people towards the festival, her eyes darting between the costumes and the pumpkins that seemed to be everywhere. Some were plain and some had carvings and paint on them. A festival all about carving and painting pumpkins? She giggled at the thought and looked around some more, spotting people with candy in their hands. Sabine looked around until she saw a pumpkin that was of about medium size, without to many bumps and dips on the outside. She walked over to it and ran her finger tips over the skin of the pumpkin. When she was younger her parents were never into the holidays, so while her friends were out having a good time she would be stuck at home with her baby sister. Not that she minded it was just.. A drab lifestyle.

For awhile she simply looked at the pumpkin, trying to think of what she could possibly carve into a pumpkin that was artistic and meaningful. When nothing came to mind she sighed and looked out towards the crowd of people. At least this place feels more like home than any other. She smiled and picked up the carving knife and played with it for a little while. Her mind buzzed with a million thoughts and she realized she had yet to talk to anyone or even introduce herself.

Lulu wasn't feeling so awesome walking through a town of judgmental people wearing Walmart clothes. It was something other people wore normally out, but after living in total luxury her entire life, she wasn't sure how she liked this gross fabric. The way she and Gaston matched was so horrible she could puke all over her clothes right now and it would make her feel better about wearing them... but then she'd look like a drunken whore and where would that get her? Oh right, married to the mayor. To avoid standing closer to Gaston than necessary, she made herself busy by attending to Eclair's shrieks as the slight breeze messed up her hair. Oh, the joys of being a mother. She was extremely thankful for at least one who didn't have to be constantly looked after... Where was Muse, anyways? Oh, what did it matter.

User Image

Of course, the servants could not find any baby clothes from Walmart that Eclair wanted on her body. She was saying she wanted something colorful made out of silk and velvet! But sadly all that came out was broken wails. Eclair came to the Pumpkin Festival dressed as a peacock! Gaston had also ordered a real life peacock to following alongside her, although the little girl wasn't as demanding of real animals as her sister. The peacock was a little... unruly, so the Sonatas had it put in a cage with wheels while on top, strapped in front of it, was a pastel colored baby carriage, with none other than Eclair herself inside of it! She sat contently with happy smiles on her face in case anyone wanted to take pictures, since she wanted to be prepared.

Walking a bit behind the rest of the family, there was Muse, or, er, Michael, as she was tonight. Just like any other family outing, Mommy and the servants made her dress like a boy. Because Gaston had forgotten to tell the servants to get something for Muse at Walmart, they went to a normal costume store. Today the servants had bought a superhero costume, and Muse was forced to wear it. She didn't mind though, a chance to be Batman was awesome. Although she really wanted to dress up as a chicken. She dropped her head. Feels Batman.

Freja and her daughter had been busying themselves by looking at a carved pumpkin. Yes, they were simply staring at it, both of them. Why were they doing that? Well, it was a very complicated question that would require many hours of explaining for someone with a simply mind and out of touch with the Goddess’s realm such as you, so it wont be explained. All that maters is that Freja and Pretzel had seemingly the same strange blank expression as they look inside the yellow squash, when someone spoke to them. The woman turned her head around to noticed another woman who wasn’t in a costume! Just like her! What Julia was wearing seemed completely normal to her. There was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary with those clothes. In fact, if Freja was a little less conservative, she might even want to try them on! ”I know!”, she exclaimed at the other woman’s comment. She was so right! This was so cute! She had never seen anything like that in all her life before now! And the magic coming out of it… it was almost intoxicating. ”I wonder if it has a name…. what do you think?”

+++++++++++

Why was John ridding Eet? Well, wasn’t that a good questions. Quentin looked up to her aunt and ponders for a moment, which for the five year old meant slightly tilting his head to the right and looking up to the sky. There were so many possible answers to that questions, but only one could be the right one, wasn’t it? He wonders if he would be rewarded if he gave the right answer, or be punished if he gave the wrong one. He didn’t felt like getting punished tonight, so he thought extra hard on the question before finally giving his final answer. ”John rides Eet because John Can.” That sounded right, right? Was there any other reason for his brother to ride Eet? He glanced toward John who was still trying to make Eet go faster and then stared back up to his Aunt. Of course, due to his costume, no one could tell where his eyes were looking at. ”Why are you my aunt?”

++++++++++

So, there was Neil, walking around the town square, minding his own business, not bothering anyone for a change, trying to find someone with whom he could have a nice discussion and perhaps strike a friendship with, fall in love, have three children together, sell a children to some horrible person in order to expose a human trafficking circle, all normal things that normal persons would do with their days! So why in the universe, the one time that Neil was actually behaving, something horrible had to happen to him? Oh, no, the something horrible wasn’t his sister jumping on him. It wasn’t his sister jumping on him in order to eat him, neither. No, the horrible thing was that his sister dressed as a dog was jumping on him in order to eat him! ”NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GET AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!” Screamed the man in the grisliest voice that could come out of a man. He wasn’t sure what had happened the next few seconds as that human size dog had jumped on him, but right now? He was on the ground, trying to crawl away from the abomination that was trying to eat him, furiously scratching on the ground, hoping that it could help him crawl faster. ”You can’t eat me! I… I taste like carrots!” Dog hated carrots, didn’t they? Well, Branky did, so he had assumed that all dogs hated carrots… Hopefully, so would this one!

++++++++++

Popcorn, like one would expect of her, was looking around the festival ground to spot the gayest man of all or the woman who showed the most cleavage. Only those two type of people were worth her time, after all. All the rest were so boring and uninteresting, so why should she bother with them? No, she had to keep her attention on her little faggots and whores~ Of course, the first one to strike her had been Finian in his little cheerleader outfit. Oh, he was so gay~ She kept that image burned into her head in order to draw some hawt Yaoi of him dressed like that with Phileo spanking him later on tonight, but for now, she would find someone else to bother. Yes! Sierra was actually looking for someone else than Finian! Her logic? She saw Finian everyday at the circus, so she should take this occasion to meet someone she hadn’t as much time to see. Someone like… that tranny over there! She wasn’t all that much into that type of person, but damn it, it was Halloween, so it was okay! Running toward Riley, she made her cymbals clap together, making her look exactly like those annoying monkeys she was dressed as. ”Hey! Hey! Mister! Hey! Are you the police officer b***h?”, she asked him with a large grin. Not so surprisingly, she was actually serious and really wanted to know.

++++++++++

While everyone of his family was busy trying to figure out just why John was ridding Eet, Wilhelm was busy doing something much more important! He had spotted a princess! A Real princess! Nothing like Rune. Rune wasn't a princess, she wasn't girly enough to be a princess! Princess were beautiful, graceful and pink. All things that Rune wasn't. So, there went the little boy, no caring that his family was still behind and walked up to Kotone and Peter.... whom he just didn't recognize as Peter. Peta was blonde and didn't have a horn, so this white honed horse obviously wasn't Peta."Arrg! Princess should not walk alone! Arrrg!" He commanded her as he was waiving his little wooden sword in front of her... leg. Well, he was aiming for her face, but puberty was still a while away and until then, he wouldn't be very tall. "Princess is mine now! Arrg!"

Fiiine.” Kade had finally settled with a roll of his eyes at his sister, although there was a smile on his lips despite his actions. He felt so good in his cute little outfit and, well, he was happy to be out! Even if he saw Walter and, for whatever reason, had the urge to walk back home. He did have some things to say, but.. they could wait until after the guy wasn't dressed in a creepy costume that sent a shiver down Kade's spine. Instead, he should take the time to get his sister out and about! His whole theory on fixing her bad spirits lately was on getting her to make friends and.. well, it was the same theory he had on her the last festival, but when he sent her towards a woman that should have become best friends with Tess, it just ended in them walking off to their separate lives. There wasn't any friendship from it! So, he would have to supervise this time to make sure that she got something out of it! That was why he had hooked arms with his sister, who gave him an arched brow, “Uh?” Was her confused response, to which he giggled, “Let's go carve a pumpkin together~! That's what the festival is about, right?” He chimed over to her as if it was the most obvious answer to her questioning eyes, the man guiding her off to the tables without much protest from the woman.

But, even without any protest from the woman, she was still just as confused. She lifted her free hand to make sure he knew she was talking as she spoke during their path to the pumpkin tables, “You aren't going to go to Walter? He's over –” Her hand that had started to point back at the butler was pulled back down with a frown directed at her. Oh. She cleared her throat, though she was surprised it took this long for her to pick up on it. Normally, the man would come to her the moment anything was amiss in a relationship, so it was a little odd to only learn of it now. She shook her head free of such a thought and continued on their way to the carving table. Once he dropped her arm, she looked over the pumpkins to see which one was free to get started on, but Kade had moved past them and on to a blond newcomer instead, much to further her previous confusion. She followed him slowly and stayed behind him, as he leaned over the table to wave at the girl, “Hiii! Are you new in town? I'm Kade! And this is Theresa –

Said woman flashed a smile at the new girl with a small nod, “Hey.

– my sister!” Kade finished after Theresa's interruption, still smiling at the new girl all the same.

Oh, no, no~ Mjau~” The girl chuckled as she heard the pitiful begging – how strange! She hadn't heard a mouse try to talk it's why out of death before, but it certainly was a pleasant twist~! “I bet you taste divine, merow~ Have you ever had a little.. taste of your kind, miyav?” Catrina purred excitedly at that and almost wished she didn't have the head on so she could take a bite out of the mouse just to punctuate that – ah~! To see the fear in those lifeless eyes would be absolutely - .. wait, lifeless? She raised an unseen brow and shoved her face right up to the mouse's eyes, peering in them. ..Why.. this thing was about as alive as her Play-N-Squeak mouse that she had Natalia control around the detective offices whenever she was bored! She sat up atop of the mouse as it struggled to no avail and spoke carefully, though she had to raise her voice over his sad whimpering – my, was her cat aura that prevalent, even inside this dog suit? She felt flattered at that observation~! “What are you? Undercover?” She paused with another hidden sneer, “As a mouse?

Xochiquetzal, who was rather content in an odd way that didn't befit an infant in a crowd full of loud people around her bedtime, was busy holding one of the tentacles on her costume and swaying it back and forth over her head. Her thoughts could easily be summed up as to a wonder why the tentacles weren't playing like they normally were when it was with the big octopus in the tank at her other home. “Octi.” She stated quietly to herself with a frown, turning her head up to look at her mother to see if she had heard. No? She looked at her tentacle again and waved it some more, “No octi.” She mumbled in what sounded similar to disappointment, dropping it again as she finally recognized it wasn't the same as the octopus at home. Instead, her eyes turned to the woman who had approached, but only for a moment until she saw the large, orange orbs. ..Ah.. “Om.” She opened and shut her mouth at it, her hands going out towards the closest one in curiosity and want, but she wasn't nearly loud enough for it to seem as urgent as she felt it to be.

John frowned down at Eet – had it.. had it died? He gave a flustered look around him – oh, John Wayne, how would he managed to get to the table now?! He would have to walk, all while carrying his dead cow the entire time! He swore he saw a movie like this once, but the man had collapsed before he managed there and died, all by himself! John was about to start crying, happy that his dad wasn't there to see this failure, but still quite put off by the situation at hand – when he started to move! “Ah – !” His eyes widened and he kept a tight grip on the reigns as they charged on, at first surprised with the sudden burst from what he thought was his dead cow. But, he quickly got to giggling at the fun in riding it – up until they crashed into the table, knocking him off the cow and leaving Eet to be motionless on the ground. Although, the sound it was making let him know it was still alive! He didn't have much time to worry on Eet, though, as he had to stand on Eet to get up onto the table. He turned around as soon as he got up and secure, lowering his hand and shaking it over the edge at the cow, “Grab my hand, Eet!” He shouted down to it, because, well, no one could expect him to leave his cow alone and unattended!

To finally be out with his lovely wife.. Gaston was all a smile, more than just a little happy while he walked beside his wife. Wife. Ah, didn't the word just have a lovely ring~? He adored it to no end and promptly look to said woman with one of his beaming smiles that should make her shudder with adoration and pride that this man, who was so cleverly dressed as the best costume in all the land, was her husband! He remembered the day he first saw his lovely Lulu and, though she had put on some weight and gotten older, she was still his~! He sighed happily and clapped a hand, motioning towards the little fussy Eclair that his wife was busy trying to tend to. A habit from her peasant days, no doubt! But, he would quickly rectify that~! While a servant who had been mysteriously following them without being noticable in the least – it was easy to forget they existed after living alongside them for so long – Gaston slipped in beside his wife, close enough for their shoulders to be touching.

No need for that, dearest.” He said in an amused scolding manner, “Let us allow the servants to watch the children while we mingle. I'm afraid the peasants have forgotten who their queen is.” He added sorrowfully as a hand went around her waist, pushing her slightly off into the crowd so he could show her off to all the poor souls who didn't have a woman as lovely as he did. First person in sight? Hayden Rusacanth and his ugly woman, that.. Nanami or.. something along those lines. He wasn't entirely sure. But, he knew she wasn't pretty at all – not a match for his wife!

Lilia, on the other hand, had glanced at her sister in her stupid costume, and then looked at her with a frown. Pink was better and she showed it by making a face at Eclair from across the way. She was sure the infant would understand her, though why she knew that was beyond her. She turned back to her poodle, who was bouncing around the carriage excitedly – too much excitement! She scowled at the puppy as he barked and wagged his pink tail before leaning forward to glance around outside of her carriage – oh~ They were pulling up near a family of peasants – and a giant bee!! She gave a squeal in pleasure as she waited until they were close enough to the group before shoving the puppy out of the carriage and into the bumble bee peasant with a shouted, “Yours!” The pink poodle pup landed out of the carriage with a yelp and whimper, glancing back at the little carriage as it was tugged off and away by the larger pink poodles.

Now that she had solved that problem, she needed a new playmate.. So, she waited until the dogs had pulled her near another group, the dogs having been trained to make rounds around the square whenever Lilia felt like going out. So, it was a simple matter of waiting until she had gotten close to another group for Lilia, something she didn't like very much, but she would have to handle it while she was still mastering walking. Eventually, they came near a familiar individual that had her shrieking and flailing her limbs at, “Rune, Rune!!” She leaned over and grabbed the ropes tying the dogs to the carriage, tugging, yanking, and pulling until they both came to a confused stop right into Ellie's legs. Oh, well, she didn't care. “Rune!!” She cried out with a series of claps before her eyes went to the white.. sheet next to her slave. “..Who that?

A protest died on Romane's lips the moment her job came into the conversation – what? Would Rachel truly hold her job hostage until she did something as silly and inane as carving pumpkins? ..Considering everything Romane had done that would normally have her reprimanded, she was surprised it was simply saying 'no' to.. enjoying stupid festivities as these was what had her superior's foot finally down. She was normally such a lenient woman, but if Rachel honestly found these activities to be important, then she would have to bare with it. Romane withheld a sigh at the conclusion and followed Rachel with a short look at Julian to see if he, at least, agree with her on how odd his mother was being. But, considering how silly he already looked in his blue suit, Romane could hardly focus on his expression. Even she had to admit he looked somewhat.. cute. Enough so that she quickly turned her head away to look at Rachel until they reached the tables. “It is very clear, ma'am, however..” She pulled her hand carefully back from Rachel's grip and looked at the pumpkins spread out before them, a wary eye remaining on the knives. They allowed civilians to use these as they pleased? ..Really, she didn't know what to do with the people setting up these events. “..what exactly entails in this activity? I do not believe carving is traditionally done on fruits.” ..Or was it a vegetable? Ah, another plant that had little been defined from Romane's experience.

Sabine looked over at the two people that were greeting her. She gave a small smile and raised her fingers to them. A blush painted her cheeks red and she let out a small giggle. Meeting and talking to new people was never her cup of tea but she sucked it up and dealt with it anyway."Nice to meet you too. I'm Sabine. I actually just got here maybe a few hours ago." Her smile warmed up and she felt a little more welcome in this town. If people were willing to come and talk to her that must be a good sign. Right? She slowly turned back to the pumpkin and started to carve a curved line into it.

A sigh escaped her lungs and she turned back to Kade and Theresa and smiled once again. "So what exactly is the Pumpkin Festival all about?" She blushed and felt a little idiotic for having to ask what it was. But, she was new after all. It wasn't expected that she knew all of this her first day on the island. A blush was still high on her cheekbones and she could feel the blood rushing to her cheeks as she felt slightly ignorant. Maybe I should of read up on the Festivals and customs before I came here.. Now people are just going to think I am ignorant and rude.. Maybe both.
