Ashmere sank onto the bench and sighed softly as if the action of sitting down caused her relief. Rubbing the bridge of her nose as if trying to fight off a headache, the slender harper rested her hand on Wykla's shoulder as she forced the corners of her mouth into a soft smile.
"Thank you Wykla----" Ashmere softly muttered as she took the parcel from the younger girl's hand. The harper held the bag reluctantly, as if trying to weigh if she should open it or just keep it in her grasp for a while longer. "I am sorry, I just haven't been myself since the Hatching. I really needed help with how things made me feel and I just sort of----" she paused and exhaled deeply. "I took it out on myself, even Mesmer is disappointed in me, I haven't seen her since yesterday when I tried to get her to eat my breakfast." Shaking her head Ashmere let out another sigh.
"I needed a friend after the Hatching but I was too proud to do anything about it. I was starving myself in hopes that someone would pay attention to me...."
Trailing off at the end of her sentence she lifted open the fold of the bag and pulled out something that still held warmth, a meat of some sort. Lifting the chuck to her lips she bit into it causing juices to dribble down her chin. She didn't seem to notice that tears once again were pouring down her face.
"I am so sorry for being such a bother to you."
(Thanks waiting so long for me to reply sweetie....I am just very emotional lately with being pregnant and all...thanks for being here for me babe.)

Hey no worries. ^_^ Honestly I think I'd be emotional finding I was pregnant, and it wouldn't be a good kind. XD Don't worry about making me wait. Sometimes I don't respond right away.... for like... weeks. >_>
"Sure. I don't have many friends in the Weyr, and you were nice to me." She tilted her head.
"It's hard to be left standing there. Watching as those luckier than you walk away with a new best friend for life." She nodded. "It happens every hatching." The young girl made herself comfortable on the bench.
She watched as her blue came over and curled himself up, looking like a head, a tail, legs, and all wing. Her eyes turned back to Ashmere. "I have to point out a flaw in your plan there. If you aren't where people can see you, then no one is gonna notice." Wykla cocked her head, daring the harper to deny it.
For a moment, she watched Ashmere eat. Reaching up she pet Boreal as he came to rest on her shoulder. "How are you being a bother? You get me out of cutting up more meat for those other bottomless pits. Kameth's stuffed so full he'll sleep til dawn tomorrow. Should I send Boreal to find Mesmer?"
