"Who sent you here?" Anaka asked starting to get into the question asking. She wanted to know all she could before she decided she would go.

Watching the girls run off, the boy raised an eyebrow. What had just happened? Taking a few steps back from the door, he glanced up towards the windows on the upper floor. Running at the door, he used his finger tips to swing himself up onto the thin ledge of the door frame. He planned to climb up to the bedroom of the girl, and it took him a few minutes to decide on what to do next. He couldn't reach the window sill from here, though his fingers just brushed the bit beneath it. He was saved, however, when he heard Shelby's voice below. Glancing over his shoulder and down at her, he grinned broadly. "Of course, Queenie." he tells her, leaping back away from the building. Strolling in, he closes the door behind him. Sitting on the floor opposite the armchair. "It was a lot of my doing, really. Old Dad told me to 'Find Alice', and here I am in your house." he spreads his arms to indicate his surroundings, a small smile still playing at his lips. "Sorry to have frightened you, Little Alice."

Shelby looked over at Ace, and shook her head with a smile, then looked to Aanka, "He does that a lot to people," then she looked back to Ace, "And you know i hate that, so call me Queenie again, and I'll make you in to a real Mad Hatter" she said smiling over at him.

"Hey, I'm not a scary guy!" the boy objected, a frown momentarily clouding his features. "I didn't mean to scare her.... but it was kind of funny." his grin returned, and he waved the Queen's threat off nonchalantly. "You can drive me crazy any day." he tells her, waggling his eyebrows in a flirty manner. He welcomed the challenge, feeling the nickname was worth any sort of torture that the White Queen could produce. "But only you. No sicking your goons on me. I'd hate to embarrass them again so soon." his grin broadened, and raised an eyebrow in challenge to the young Queen; they were friends, sure, but they tended to go at each other every so often. He never meant what he said, not really, but it was always fun to argue with pretty girls. He turned his attention back to Anaka, his features fading to one of sadness. "Do you see how she treats me?" he asks, leaning towards her. "You'd be headed towards mad too, if you had to put up with her verbal attacks every day."

"My goons as you call them, have not recovered from the last time they face you, Mr. Hatter. I'd be dealing with you myself, with no complaints of course," she said with a bright flirtatious smile, then too she turned to Anaka, " I don't treat people badly, I never have, unless of course your Mr. Hatter, but it is all in good fun, and he enjoys it all the same," she said still smiling, "And I am the only one heading towards mad, around him."

Anaka giggled slightly.
"My name happens to be Anaka. Alice was my mother and I'm afraid she's no longer alive."
Anaka said this for the Hatters benifet. She really didn't know if she wanted to go still. She looked down at the small book.
"How many of you are there?" she asked at last after tearing her gaze away from the book.

Shelby put her hand up and counted on her fingers, "Umm, counting you 6 i think, maybe 7," she said tilting her head to the side.

"Depends on who you count." the Hatter put in, focusing on the current topic. "There are a lot of citizens, and soldiers." he glanced at Shelby from the corner of his eye, grinning a bit for her benefit. "But there are only so many of us with titles... But I'm the most important." his grin broadened, aimed at no one in particular. Ace turned his sights on Alice, his eyes closing a bit with a more cheerful smile. "If you came back with us, I could throw a tea party." his father had loved tea parties, especially with the March Hare. They tended to get odd, but he always enjoyed them. Crossing his legs, he grips his knees with his hands. "Of course you'd be invited too, my dear." he leans towards the White Queen as he said this, smiling innocently at her.

Shelby rolled her eyes "As important as my foot maybe, the most important, is of course Anaka," she said smiling in her direction, then to Hatter, "And it so nice that you would include me in you mad tea party," she said smiling back innocently.

"I do admit to your having lovely feet, but surely my handsome self is at least as important as your entire leg." he responds, starting up yet another battle of wit. He focuses once again on Anaka, leaning forward a bit too scrutinize her. "Hm... She is pretty cute... She can be important too." he waves a hand in dismissal, as if this closed the deal. Not turning to look at the White Queen this time, a new grin appears on his features. "Mad can be fun, my dear. It's perfectly fine to let loose once in a while. How else can one avoid being mad all the time?" he asks, completely serious in this question.

"We aren't so cold to turn down an old man on his death bed... not that the other parents didn't want us to find your mother as well." he looked down at his hands, picking at his nails thoughtfully. He looked up, studying Anaka's face. "We'd like you to come back with us instead. We'd take care of you." he glanced at the White Queen for support before looking back to Anaka. "You're too young to stay here by yourself by this world's standards, right?"
