User ImageIstas Saorise watched Niflheim curiously as his tail flicked up, but before she could so much a worry it dropped again. She wagged hers a bit as everything seemed pretty at ease, the sun slowly dropping in the background seemed to reflect off her fur in odd ways making her seem almost unearthly. She nodded her head lazily as she sat up some, her green eye's catching Istas's sleeping form. "Ah. I've been up near Shi, but I've never made it far. That is a very difficult terrain even for an agile Dragga like myself..." her ears went back as she thought over the decline of their species. "It's sad what those uncaring two legger's have done to our race... It seems the decline is everywhere... I've not been alive long enough to see it, but I've heard the stories of how our kin used to be. How packs were everywhere, large and prosperous... Now it's quite a nice surprise to just run into a few every so often..." Her eye's left the large Alpha to look at the patterns on Berko They were beautiful in the chaos that they seemed to be in. It took her a moment to take her green eyes off of him, but she did and turned them to her small sleeping companion. "Pups are funny when they do things like this..." A mothering sound filled her voice as she gently picked Istas up and pulled her closer to her own body, and away from the scraps left from the rabbit. The ice blue girl didn't so much as stir in the process as Saorise began gently licking clean her charges bloody fur.

Feeling Azul nuzzling up to her made the still rather anxious female wolf smile slightly. Her heart felt warmer somehow but, she did not pause to think about it. Instead Mingan gently nudged Azul closer to her warm body sensing the impending sleep. "Sleep little one I will keep watch over you. Things are not too bad now so do not worry." Masichuvio watched Ivory settling down his gaze flickering as the wolves spoke. With a slight stretch he kept himself standing. Laying down meant a less fast escape. Though the buck's legs ached from their long journey that day he stood tall. After all it wasn't often that he met another of his kind, Mingan tried to avoid deer as often as possible lest she become tempted to kill one of his brethren. Thankfully the gray female rarely ate his kind only because of him he knew..but, still Maschuvio felt grateful for her kindness. Mingan gave the lone male one look then turned her gaze back to Niflheim her tail tapping the ground softly. As they spoke of the declining number of wolves she felt a bit out of place. "I see many others you just have to look..I traveled through a packs land earlier this day. They seemed well off.." Her voice trailed mind remembering once again how they had left nothing to eat when they hunted. No scraps, nothing! With a sniff the female finally felt the tension leave her when the others all seemed friendly and, weren't too close she nested down in the grass with Azul. Her tail flickered still lightly hitting the ground as she thought, or when her gaze wandered to the alpha male. Nudging her new little companion close to her gray furred body Mingan thought on when they should leave. The suns setting marked nights swift approach.

Feeling Mignan relax slightly, Azul smiled to himself, glad that he could do something to help. His eyelids grew heavy, and feeling Mignan's warmth made him stifle a yawn. He blinked as he saw a brown wolf approach the group and introduce himself as Berko. The alpha male, Saorise and he seemed to be in deep conversation.

His ears flicked slightly as he heard Mignan tell him to sleep. He was embarrassed his exhaustion had shown, yet glad, since he wasn't sure he could stay awake much longer.

''Okay,''he managed to mumble.''Thank you... Wake me up when we have to get going...''

Unable to fight it off any longer, he laid down and crossed his paws, his eyes drifting shut on their own.

Niflheim shook his head to the femme, "Ingen, I mean.." He shook his muzzle. His Norwegian birth words coming out. "No, not so much the two leggers Saorise." He shifted. "They are our watchers, and would Drappa mean Caretaker? I have no heard that wording before for it.. I just assumed since you seem very motherly towards the pups." His aud flexxed a little to Mingan as he felt her presence looking at him. But he blinked, possibly shying from the prospect of being stared at. He was only three, and young still. Though many enjoyed his stature and build he had never had someone stare at him with those eyes before.

Oddly enough due to Niflheim being quite a striking male. Ivory watched the buck intently. "Oh just.. calm down a little." She chattered. "You're worse then your lone female, who's now about to sleep amoung the wolves here. I am sure no one's going to snap you up. I'll protect you." She puffed out her ivory chest a little. To show off her 'wolven spirit'.
But her mind wandered to the sleeping pups. Her tail wiggling excitedly. She loved little pups. Besides the adolescent in the pack..

Saorises ears went back in embarrassment as she realized she had been using terms from her own native birth pack. " A Drappa is a Male wolf where I'm from. And a Dragga is a Female. I apologize I forget that others don't know some of the language I was brought up around." She finished up licking Istas's fur in the most gentle manner as the young pup began stirring some. She made a soft whining noise that Saorise was used to her making when she was in a dream.

She turned her green eye's to Migan whom finally, she noticed seemed to calm down around all of them. "Really? Perhaps I just instinctually avoid packs or something... I don't see them much... that makes me curious..." she let it drop there for a moment as her mind pondered over if she should go hunting for other packs to if anything meet more.

She looked up to the strong alpha just as his doe had spoken to him. She didnt' know how but she managed to hold in her laughter at the does words, she had no desire to get that females ire again.
"I don't know if I believe that they truly are our watchers... I know some aren't bad, but I've heard so many stories about entire packs being wiped out by them... Perhaps I just haven't met the one to change my opinion yet..." she shook her self slightly as a breeze seemed to pass right through her fur, it felt quite nice.

(I've so been using the terminology from the book The Sight... xd )

((Derp, I think Drappa is the female and Dragga is the male? xD))

Darius continued to watch the group for a while, keeping himself in his comfortable, laid-down position so that, should one of the wolves or deer take notice of him again, they wouldn’t mistake his observation for one of dangerous intent. But, watching the group like this, with he alone and they together, so close yet so different, he could feel the band of loneliness that had tugged at his very being since he left his old pack. And when he saw the brown lone being accepted easily, the pups slumbering gently, and the wolves being friendly, he was thankful, for it meant that his suspicions were unfounded.

Standing smoothly, he approached the group, his sharp ears catching bits and pieces of their conversation as he neared. His eyes turned toward the bright yellow and sea-green lone with interest, and he wondered whether she came from far away for the term she used to call herself and her claims against humans were foreign to his ears. Ever since he had been born, he had heard the story of the female human pup who had found and cared for newborn wolves, uniting and enforcing the bonds between wolf and man when, before, they had been nothing more than predators pitted against one another. Nowadays, it wasn’t uncommon to see a human within packs, for they even helped to guard the forest, although it was rare to witness one hurt a wolf.

Next, his vision strayed towards the blue pup close to the lone, onwards to the brown male that had recently added to their numbers, and then to the black-tan wolf who had shown the most suspicion towards him. It made him wary, but seeing the pup close to her side was enough to alleviate his worries, at least a little, for he made sure to keep in mind that mothers could be fiercely protective of their young, especially if there were only a few in her litter, and took care to avoid getting too close to the females as he neared.

Finally, his gaze landed on the dark, scarred male, whose carriage suggested he was one of high rank. This confused him because, earlier, he had come to the conclusion that this gathering wasn’t a pack, and it didn’t carry the appearance of one about to form, either, seeing as none were making any attempt at all to mark borders. Upon closer inspection, however, he came to the decision that the male and doe beside him originated from the same pack (although he remained skeptical about the doe) and that they probably lived close by. His eyes were curious as to why they were away from their territory but he refrained from questioning it, instead choosing to introduce himself as courtesy dictated.

Greetings,” he started, staying at a respectful distance and keeping his demeanor as calm as he could, trying to show his purpose for being there was harmless. However, no other humbling was given, even to the dark male, for although he had determined the wolf to be an alpha, he wasn’t his alpha. At this moment, away from packs and borders, they all carried the same rank of a lone in his mind, and nothing more. “My name is Darius. I hope I have not intruded upon your meeting? he asked, addressing all but politely meeting the eyes of none.

Masichuvio
As Azul slept the gray female relaxed further a soft huff like sigh leaving her lips. She did not like others but, this group hadn't shown her any harm, and, the males kept a respectful distance. The doe's words had her laughing lightly her tail thwacking the ground as she tried to stay awake. Masichuvio snorted in shock at the doe's words his feet stamping a bit before he bowed his head."I'm sure such a ...strong one as you could protect me but, it is my friend I worry for. I do not wish to let her sleep without having me to keep watch. Especially since she does not have a strong mate to make sure she is safe." The last bit of his words made Mingan's head snap up a low growl leaving her lips. "Who said I need a male Masichuvio? I can care for my own well being..besides..most males are not to be trusted." Niflheim on the other hand she might trust..she had already let the alpha closer faster than any other male. The other males had her wary and still tensed some but, he did not bother her in the least. Sniffing once the gray female finally curled her tail about Azul keeping him close as she drifted into sleep.
