Enter from Konoha's Ninja Academy

Naiten peeked in nervously into the library and shuffled in quietly, hoping no one would notice her, which was quite contrary to what she needed. She had only just realized on the way to the library that she would need to attract attention to get done what she needed to get done. Attracting attention was, as usual, the very last thing that the girl wanted. She didn't need attention, no attention was way more than enough as it was. Clutched nervously in both hands, held up to her chest where it was clearly visible, was the green-beige owl charm that the hokage had given her. The way the newly made genin saw it, hopefully the librarian would notice it before noticing the girl and give Naiten what she wanted without paying too much attention to her.

Suddenly, from the counter besides Nai, a librarian seemed to pop out of nowhere. "Ugh, Satsuki really needs to learn how to organize the forms," the green-haired, tom-boyish librarian mumbled underneath her breath as she dusted her hands off after, apparently, organizing the forms that were stored underneath the counter. Melinda, the librarian that was mumbling, had short, spiky forest-green hair and wore a pair of round, warm red glasses. She wore a simple, baggy sweatshirt that had a caramel tone to it and, while Naiten couldn't see, had on brown leather sandals underneath a pair of blue jeans. In terms of accessories, she didn't seem to have much other than a pair of brilliant green studs in her ears.

Suddenly, Melinda noticed that a girl had been standing besides the counter the entire time. "Oh, hello!" she greeted with a mixture of surprise and cheer as she leaned on the counter so as to get a closer look of the petite girl, "Sorry, didn't notice you there since you were so quiet! How may I help?".

"...," was Nai's response as she stood frozen in her spot, unable to take in all of the attention that had been thrust on her so quickly by the one, green-haired person in front of her. She couldn't believe so much attention could come from just one person.

Melinda tilted her slightly tanned face to the side a bit as she sounded out a curious, "Hm?" in response to Nai's silence. Then, her eyes, which had finally moved to examine the rest of Naiten after settling on her face, it was only polite to talk to one's face, noticed the beige-green charm that the girl was holding in her shaking hands. "Oh, I see," Melinda answered, "The hokage sent you here? Give me one second," and without waiting for so much as a nod the ecstatic librarian had raced off deeper into the labyrinth of shelves.

Nai simply stood frozen to her spot, looking quite traumatized as she shivered. The sudden appearance of the librarian, who came in with a loud, "Here it is!" that echoed throughout the empty building, caused the girl to jump nearly a foot into the air and had her hair stand on end. Cradled in the librarians arms was a stack of scrolls and a book bag. "I figured you might need this as well," Melinda explained as she pointed to the book bag. Apparently, the scrolls was what Nai's charm meant for her to get. As she dumped everything neatly onto the table, the green-haired 20-something woman continued, "There! That should do it! Now then, have fun!" and waved Nai off, still staring at her with her wide smile.

Naiten, meanwhile, was still frozen to her spot. Actually, she was more frozen than before if such a thing was possible. Her face was deathly pale with fear. "Mm, hello?" the librarian asked as she leaned in closer to see what was wrong with the girl. She was genuinely worried and was just about to wave her hands in front of Naiten's face to make sure that she was still awake. However, before she could proceed with her test, the girl suddenly jumped into action, quickly grabbing the scrolls and bag before dashing to another part of the library that was far away from the librarian. Of course, she had remembered to leave the owl charm on the counter. Having someone as close to her face as Melinda had been was what snapped the girl out of her frozen state. It was just too much attention and she couldn't handle it anymore.

Natsu arrived at the hospital, feeling refreshed and somewhat fulfilled. He had stopped to get a change of clothes and clean up, as well as raid his food storage. It was odd, Suki was nowhere to be found. He merely shrugged his shoulders, thinking the same for Alkaid. Both the ladies of his life had seemed to disappear, and it was scarily quiet. With no one to yell at him, What would Natsu do? His mind continued on, drifting in random directions as he picked a spot in the library and sat down.

Naiten finally settled at a desk with the supplies and whatnot she was given. She was panting a bit from the running but seeing how she hadn't run all that far, it wasn't all that bad.

Opening up the scroll to the first page, the girl dove into the very first seal.

Name of Seal: Storage Seal Basic
Rank to Learn: E
Activation Cost: 2
Description: The most basic of all storage seals, this is the one you will find in most scrolls. Only capable of holding small objects, and only one at a time, it is still highly useful, as a single scroll can hold twenty of them.
Weakness: This seal cares not who tries to access it, and will release whatever it holds if activated, no matter who activates it. As with most seals, if the diagram is damaged it will become useless, and the contents lost forever to the void.

The first seal was basic enough, and after reading through it once, Naiten understood what she had to do. Unlike hand signs, she had had plenty of experience with seals with her family so drawing such a basic sign was easy. Careful placing the sealing manuscript to the side, the girl pulled out a blank scroll and some ink from the bag that the over-friendly and thus scary librarian had given her. Then, she proceeded to copy the symbol for the jutsu. When the seal was done, Naiten took off her earring and proceeded to store it into the seal she made. It worked and the with a bit of twisting, the metallic accessory was stored safely within the seal. After putting it in, Nai proceeded to take it back out. She still needed her earring to show that she was a Konoha shinobi. The first skill obviously done, the girl moved on to the second skill. [1/1]

Natsu had gotten terribly bored waiting for Zin. The thought occurred to him that he may learn nothing at all before the exams. He sighed, walking through the various isles. Happy trailed along, his soft footfalls barely making a sound as he moved. As Natsu emerged from one of the isles, he spotted a small girl sitting infront of a desk, reading and practicing from a scroll. He stopped, and watched her for a bit, curious as to what she was learning.

Just as Naiten moved to open the scroll for the next jutsu, she noticed that someone was watching her. The girl froze and stole a quick glance up at the stranger. There were two things that stood out in him: 1) he had pink hair like cherry blossoms and 2) for some reason his attention was on her. Realizing that her sudden stop mid-movement would probably attract more attention, the girl shakily forced herself to finish reaching for and opening the scroll to observe the next seal. She hoped that whoever the stranger was, he would leave and stop paying attention to her. The girl didn't like attention and her body physically represented that by slouching down in an attempt to make a smaller target. the girl thought with distress, . She tried to focus on learning the D-rank seal Hiku, but the usual disarray that her mind experienced whenever she was the focus of anyone's attention made it hard for the girl to simply get the image of the seal straight.

Natsu could see the girl shrink away from him, as if he was some sort of monster waiting to attack her. He shrugged his shoulders, and spun on his heels, heading off to go and find some training. Perhaps there would be someone at the academy, or training facility who would be able to show him a few things.

Nai sighed as Mister Sakura-hair walked away and let her be. Without anyone focusing on her, she could work in peace and easily read through and memorized the seal she was working on.

Name of Seal: Hiku (To pull)
Description: The seal is simple it literally pulls certain items to it. If one would put the fire symbol next to it, fire would be attracted towards it. Same with any other element or combination of elements. They may also draw weapons, or even people but depending on the level of the seal and the target, it could be nothing but a tug on the shirt.
Activation Cost: 5

Putting aside the scroll of directions, Nai took the scroll that she had used to practice the last technique and drew the required image. At least, she drew it the way she remembered it. The D-rank skill was understandably harder to draw than the E-rank seal that she had worked on before and something seemed off about the one she drew. However, Naiten just couldn't figure out what it was. [1/3]

After several minutes of just staring at the picture in front of her, Nai shrugged and figured that she might as well try out the seal. If it didn't work, then her hunch that it was drawn incorrectly was probably right. If it did work, then no worries. Focusing her chakra into her hand, Nai placed it over the seal and released it just as she had done with the storage seal before. She waited... and waited... and waited.... Eventually, though, it was obvious that nothing was going to happen. [2/3]

Figuring that she had drawn the seal wrong, the girl opened up the teaching scroll once more and read through the details of the Hiku seal. Naiten realized, Realizing her mistake, the genin put the scroll of seals to the side and then wrote in the symbol for the object she planned on attracting: air. She didn't need a reference for the symbol seeing how it was one of the symbol onces that she learned from her clan members. Once more, the girl sought to activate the seal after it had dried. Unlike the last time, she achieved the results she wanted: a sudden sucking motion of the wind towards the seal. Pleased, Nai released the skill and began on the next fuuinjutsu. [3/3]

Kyouka (Reinforce)
Description: A basic seal that when used correctly is one of the most powerful in a sealer's arsenal. When this seal is placed on an object or barrier it strengths the barrier by the power of the seal. If a Reinforcement seal is placed on an object and has Jounin level of chakra on it, it will be able to withstand Jounin strength.
Weakness: After one hit from equal strength to that of the seal, the effect is dispelled, leaving the item at it’s normal strength once more. The user is only able to use this seal up to their own level. A genin can’t make it chuunin strength.

Naiten picked up the instruction scroll and read through the next and, it seemed, the last skill she could learn without outside help. She didn't know what she would do after this technique, but the thought didn't really bother her. Right now, she had a seal to learn and that was that. Reading through the description, it seemed reasonable enough. The way Naiten thought of it was like an invisible armor…. Armor, kind of like the doton jutsu she had seen used when…. Underneath her fingers, the scroll Nai was learning from crumpled as her hands clenched themselves into fists. She quickly pushed herself back from the desk and silently took quick, deep breaths. Fresh memories flashed through her mind, painful memories, and she could feel her closed eyes fill with water, just as her body was filling with the urge to scream and run. An urge that went directly against her shyness. the girl thought as she silently mouthed those same words. She forced another image to float across her vision, the image of her savior. Yes, that was more like it. In less than a minute, the girl was back under control. Pushing her chair back up to the desk, she focused solely on learning the Kyouka seal. [1/3]

The girl's nerves were still riled despite the return of her control and so she sought to calm them by repeating a menial task. Seeing how she was learning a seal, Naiten decided that the menial task best suited for the moment would be to repeatedly draw the Kyouka seals. The girl placed quality over quantity, which required more focus and helped the girl's goals more, as she wrote each stroke of the seal in a deliberate manner. With the unerasable ink and fragile paper, she sought to make each seal perfect by making each stroke of each seal perfect. [2/3]

Stroke after stroke the girl worked until it almost seemed as if she was thinking about nothing. In reality, though, Naiten's mind was completely focused on the flow of the brush as it slid across the paper, even if she herself didn't realize it. Her wrists moved in the exact same fashion each and every time she wrote a certain stroke. Slowly, while repeating the seal over and over again, Naiten had begun imbuing her own energy into the symbols to make them into actual seals. This was the difference between the work of a sealer and someone who wasn't. Just about anybody could copy the drawings that the seals basically were. What required skill was the imbuing of chakra. It was also why there were different levels to just one seal. Storing more chakra into a seal required more skill just as trying to fill a balloon up with more air required stronger lungs. By the time that the entire scroll was filled with the Kyouka sign, Naiten had mastered the seal. However, she didn't know it herself. Storing energy into one of the final group of seals she had made, the girl tried to rip the paper in half. The fragile scroll had suddenly become like rubber and the girl couldn't seem to do more than bend and twist the object of her attack. [3/3]

The Reinforce seal obviously learned, Naiten shoved away the material she had just used and brought to herself the scroll of seals. She knew that there weren't any more seals she could learn. However, she had figured it'd be best to familiarize herself with the higher level seals so she could recognize them on the spot.

Suki cracked her neck left, then right. The table she was working with was covered with open books that read off seal formulas and designs, most of which would look like a foreign language. In the only space that tabletop was visible, she places a pile of blank paper slips and a small writing object. It looked like a mini paint brush, but didn't drip black ink when set down.

Her eyes looked stormy. Her brother would know what this look was. She always got it when she frantically studied at her abnormal pace. If her mother could scratch the surface of sealing, then Suki could dive in and drill down to the core of the art. The first couple didn't seem too difficult: Storage Seal Basic was extremely simple. She just painted to seal's form on the first slip, then used chakra. She tested one kunai, then three, then five, all accepted. By adding chakra again, she was able to withdraw said weapons.

The next two were just as easily memorized: Hiku and Kyouka. Thank the gods she took the time to study chakra flow to make learning new jutsu easier. She glanced at one of the open books, one dealing with Formula Theory. She then scribbled the Hiku seal on a slip and added chakra. The book moved towards the seal until she stopped the chakra. Happy with herself, she immediately went into Kyouka, scribbling that seal's particular seal on a fresh slip. She added chakra and reinforced the table itself. Then Suki draw her katana. "Ha!" She slammed the blade on the table's surface. Nothing, not even a scratch. Sheathing the katana, she grinned even more. This was going to be fun.

But now, to dive deeper, she would need a test subject. Immediately her brother came to mind. She quickly wrote up a bunch of Storage seals, placed them in one of the larger books of the collection, and walked off to find Natsu with a wicked grin on her face.

Finally, Naiten closed the manual on seals along with a reference book she had opened up. She had memorized all of the various seal symbols she could combine with the Hiku seal along with memorized all of the effects and designs of the general seal skills. In addition, she had also, in her search to recognize all of the seals she possibly could, stumbled across a method that could actually disguise seals. It was this method that Nai planned on working on next. Perhaps if she learned the tricks to disguising the seals, she would also be able to distinguish such disguised seals.

As Naiten began working on her next ability, an Anbu suddenly appeared and addressed her in a monotone voice. "Tsuchigumo Naiten? You are requested in the Hokage Tower for a mission. Please make your way there as soon as possible." Done, the Anbu once more disappeared into the unknown.

Nai had been unsuccessfully doodling, for lack of a better word to describe the random markings that resulted from her attempts to disguise her seals, when the ANBU appeared and told her to head towards the hokage's tower. The girl immediately stopped what she was doing quickly packed up her materials and headed over to where she had been told to go to, just as if the elder of her clan had called her. the girl quickly reminded herself as she wiped her mind blank and headed out of the library.

Naga 'Demi-Prince' - 'Jounin' - Naga Clan Head - Taijutsu Master - Legend of Shuntensatsu

Upon entry into the second favored place in Konoha outside of his house, Zin knew exactly what he needed to look for and exactly where he could find it. The library was like a second home to the Naga Child; if only more shinobi took their time to study some of the documents throughout these walls they would understand how to spring forth their abilities past that of the norm. for Shinobi. From all of the years Zin has entered and traveled throughout the library, he knew exactly where the category of books lay well enough that he might as well become the library's assistant. Coming upon the designated shelf that held books that surrounded around the medical field, Zin grabbed books which held information on DNA, the human body, and lastly splicing and replacing DNA. Each of the things that would help Zin perform his first creation that he planned to make later on that night and bring about the beginning of his army. Carrying the large books to a near by table, Zin did as he usually did and placed the oversized text books upon the table as he illuminated the candle in the middle. Bringing forth light to the dark corner as the child took out his note paper, a small brush and ink to document his notes. Then when he returns home, he'll compare his notes with his father's when he did DNA splicing and combine them to procure perfection. Taking a look at the DNA book first, Zin cracked open the dusty pages and began to take the side of a medical nin for the moment as he read about the strands of connected chromatids.
