Bytr came from the forest, armored, but not quite prepared as he should have been. He was hit by the full might of the Dragonheart forces, literally blowing him away in some cases.

The metahuman materialized within all the chaos. Instinctively, he rolled for cover immediately as he saw the destruction.
"So, I have a feeling you guys lied when you said you were sending me to Bogota," he said over his communicator.
"Sorry," replied a voice from the device. "Everyone else is tied up. Help the Maltir forces when you can, but more importantly, help protect the civilians. And don't die. I guess that's important, too."
"Thank you," Phoenix said dryly, but he did just that. He went over to some rubble and helped several citizens out of the debris. Someone shouted a warning and he turned to see a Dragonheart soldier about to shoot him. He immediately punched the soldier in the face. The blast from the soldier's rifle grazed his side, but the injury wasn't grave.

The pain had faded into the background now, replaced by a strange throbbing sensation. There was little strength left in Emma, even as she tried to raise herself from the ground. Her arms screamed in pain, every exposed inch of skin covered in blood.
Now would be a good time for some sort of intervention.

Despite the growing opposition, the Dragonheart forces didn't lose their morale. To them, these were just meddlesome ants to be crushed. They continued to attack as they did.

One more grenade blast rocked the earth near Emma, and she slipped into blackness.
A few more minutes and the last of her lifeblood would have left her.
The enchantress was a speck of black amidst the dust, surrounded by red. Far too much red.

As Discord's monstrosity unleashed its fury upon the Dragonheart Forces, the familiar lich appeared just inches away from Emma's limp body. He knelt down to feel her pulse, and it was very faint. The proud elf was teetering between life and death. Discord was asked to retrieve the noblewoman, and he would do just that. He picked her up and proceeded to leave. As the Dragonheart Forces tried to attack him, Discord's loyal creation stood to defend, devouring any soldier that came near it.

Bytr came back, brushing himself off from his 'trip'. The Dragonheart forces attempted to kill him, but this time his armor protected him while he gored and bashed soldiers heads in.

Several troops fell to the increased assault from the sudden assailants, but when one soldier fell, another appeared to take his place. There didn't seem to be an end to these soldiers.

((So close to calling reinforcements... ;_; ))
"Eep! Take cover! Incoming enemy fire!" Gar shouted to his battered comrades. The maltir managed to scatter just as a tower collapsed. Unfortunately, some of the brave soldiers were crushed underneath. Gar coughed from the thick dust and smoke in the air, but at least he was hidden from the enemy at the moment.

The dizzy bounty hunter grabbed the nearest assault rifle and made for the rear hatch again. As soon as he opened it, several Dragonheart soldiers fired upon him. David ducked back down just in time, but a plasma blast hit the hatch door and rained sparks down on him.

Alex due to some sort of temporal spatial distortion had his teleport disrupted and ended up on the maltir's home-world right in the middle of a massive battle. "Oh s**t!" He was immediately blasted to the ground by the shock-wave of an explosion peppering him with shrapnel.

There were more soldiers surrounding the meta as he attempted to evacuate people from the collapsing buildings. A scuffle ensued as he attempted to take several soldiers at once. The butt of a rifle caught him upside the head, temporarily knocking him out.

Seeing Vivi living cards rushed out of her card and helped her back up. Reliving a a skim shot to her leg as she got up she pushed herself away from the edge as she sat on the roof. Turning some cards back to normal ones she sealed them over some wounds.
