Kiburi toppled head over heels and became completely soaked in the process. She quickly scrambled back onto her paws and waited for the water to run out of her ears so she could hear what Kimaji was saying. "There! Oh..." Where had it gone? "Maybe the splashes scared it?"
She shook her fur sending a cascade of droplets everywhere before glancing around. Oh ho ho! There it was again! She wanted to cower behind Little One but decided against it. She had to be brave and strong and prove herself a good rogue!
The great 'lake monster' surfaced again briefly, its fin jutting up out of the water before it dissapeared again.
Kiburi let out a squeak of fear, legs trembling. "What shall we do Kima?"

The cub remained there, eyeing where the fin was, before determination hit her. She stood as tall as she possibly could, walking towards the water. I am a hunter! Her mind repeated, while the grey cub went to where the fin was, looking carefully around. She could see a clear spot inches away from her paw, hiding in her shadow. Quickly, she batted at it with her paws, and the creature, not knowing what to do leapt to the air-- a fish. It landed on her head and slid down her back, wich stunned the cub to remaining still. "W-w-what w-was that? " She whimpered, not daring to move.

Kiburi watched in horror as the monster performed an amazing set of acrobatics before landing back in the water. Her eyes were wide and her mouth gaped as she stared at little Kimaji who appeared as shocked as she was.
"Monster jumped, jumped reeeeal high!" The juvenile chirped in disbelief. "You think we should catch the beastie?" Kiburi loped noisily over to Little One's side and snuffled at the water with her nose, sneezing as a little went up her nostrils.
"W-where's it gone now?" A small sploosh behind her alerted her to it's presence. It was back again and it wanted to eat them for lunch!

The cub nodded slowly, before leaping to a side, then towards were the sound had come, only to wach the water create a few small ripples as the fish swam off. The cub didn't know this lake was supposed to be full of fish, but now they had died out with the heat, leaving only a few. "What do you think it is? " She gasped, ears at the ready for another attack.

Kiburi turned to follow the 'thing's' path with a curious gaze, watching as it swam off to the area that appeared to be a little deeper than the section they were standing in. It reminded her of the jewels she had seen some of the lions back at her old pride wear, but what did that mean?
"Maybe it's some sort of stone monster!" She said skeptically, "and that was why it was so shiny."
"Do you think it's the only lake monster? Or are there others?" She gazed around somewhat nervously.

The cub shivered at the though, more? Taking a few steps back, she then sat in the shallow water. "We should wait for Swaii-- He'll know what to do. " She nodded, when something drifted against her submeged tail, and she coulden't help but let out a loud scream, still ocnvinced that this was a monster, she leapt up, jumped over the being and dashed toward dry land, tumbling and falling flat on her back.

Kiburi found her own heart leaping fearfully as she scuttled after Kimaji, letting out a small squeal as she reached the bank. "Swaii will know?" Kiburi questioned, turning around to take a peek at the water once more. "I'm never going swimming again!" She shrieked, "this place nice but scary too."

She nods knowingly. "Swaii is big! " She replies, looking up to the cave. Oh he really should wake up.. He could save Kimaji and her friend!. Or think Kiburi was trying to hurt Kimaji... But she shook the thought away.

"Perhaps we should go wake him up?" Kiburi questioned, following the little one's gaze up to the cave. "I'm sure he'd understand if you explained to him about the monster and everything." The pale juvenile nodded her head and took a step in the direction. The thought that Swaii might not like her here didn't even cross her mind.

"Kimaji dosen't like waking Swaii up. " She sighs, Kimaji hated waking up Swaii, or anything at all. It felt so... rong. "We could play on land? "

"aw okay! Then what do you want to play?" Kiburi's attention turned back to the cub, large ears perking up to attention, her eyes wide with interest. She wasn't sure whether there was much to do here, the land seemed peaceful and quite and very safe. She felt content here and it was a nice feeling, yet it lacked the excitement that Kiburi craved. She had the feeling that perhaps this wasn't a pride at all, especially if it was just Kimaji and Swaii.
