Midori heard Rai's words but did not have the chance to reply before the jutsu activated. She had been careless climbing onto the bell and if the blast had been outward focused instead of inward she would have definetly been caught by it.

The life draining effect might have killed a normal person, but Midori's nature as an avatar of death shielded her from the worst of it and she managed to dash away before the force of the implosion reached critical mass and exploded.

Reapearing a split second later, Midori hovered a few feet over the ground avoiding direct contact to prevent Rai from easily grabbing her again. She cursed slightly at the loss of the bell since it had represented one of the few means she had left at at her disposal of defeating Rai using non lethal force.

It had been the only chunk of metal in the area large enough to use as a makeshift electromagnet that would be strong enough to actually hold Rai. And while she could call forth enough tools to practically supply a small army she still had her limits, especially since she hadn't planned ahead of time for needing such a large metal object.

If Midori's skin could be seen underneath her outfit one would notice that much of the color of vitality had been drained from being exposed to the Forsaken Chakra Implosion leaving her looking pale. But that hadn't been the only side effect. Nature aboured a void and as life energy had left her she had naturally begun taking in Death energy (It wasn't hard to tap into, someone or something was always dying somewhere in the world every second.) ... already 20% of her body had taken on the blue colored sheen of her angel of death form with it slowly progressing with every passing moment.

"Rai would thou consider releasing thee from thy vow?" She asked she she reached her right hand up touching a strange looking ring on her left index finger which featured something like a gear in the middle which could be dialed so that different rune markings became aligned as it was turned.

Spinning it one notch the rune marking at the top changed causing her body to become engulfed in a puff of smoke for a brief moment which quickly subsided to reveal that her outfit had changed.

The crimson red under suit remained, but now she was wearing a new suit of armor, much sleeker and streamlined then the first, the remaining parts of the old soon having been switched out and missing parts like her boots replaced with new ones. Thought this set wasn't so much for her protection as it was to improve her aerodynamic profile, meant as a complement to the transformation she was undergoing.

Chaos saying "I give up" was one of the few things that had ever made Midori's mind blank out. "Wait...what?" She thought in confusion. Why would he give up so soon when the real battle had only just begun? Her objective hadn't really been to win, just to determine which of the two would have the best chance against Chaos...

She listened to his advice treating it as if it where gold. Considering his sheer amount of experience it might as well have been. "Know his capabilities.... I have a feeling I barely scratched the surface." she thought to herself feeling like the results had been far from conclusive.

"Give him everything I've got..." She whispered.... "I'll be sure to do that, so make sure to watch otherwise I won't be able to go full throttle."
