 Nora "THORN" Quick Nora/Thorn stood with her eyes down cast. Shi...shi...shiiiiit!!! I'm a gonner. She'll reconise me...think Quick you idiot.....think like a Quick The accidental outlaw lifted her eyes and did her best to smile shyly at the bounty hunter. She was disguised well, she'd be unrecogniseable to her own family if they saw her. Shifting uncomfortably, the girl mumbled something uniteligable. Her heart was thumping in her chest.
"S-s-sorry Miss....I-I-I just saw yer gun, and I got a teensy bit nervous...." her voice was disguised as well, meek and mild manered and a good deal higher pitched than her normal 'Thorn' voice. Her cheeks heated up as she once agian caught a proper look at the woman after her. If only she were after me for other reasons......or for that matter if only I were actually a guy, then there might be a chance of me wooing her despite the bounty on ma head....

Diane poked at her cheek, "You look mighty familiar, honey." she leaned in close, trying to recall where she had seen this girl. "... Have we met before? Like, in another town or somethin'?" It was starting to bug her now, feeling like she should really know this person.

Nora "THORN" Quick As Diane leaned in closer, Nora leant out. The chances of her being recognised were low but this girl, 'The Gambling Vixen' worried her. She seemed a good deal sharper than the other bouty hunters, and a damsight more appealing - a bloody dangerous combination. "Uh, maybe? I-I travel alot see, work in bars and the like. But I'm just passin' through this backwater on my way to the coast...." She hoped the lie was convincing enough.
"If you'd excuse me ma'am, but I gotta get some supplies and get back to ma friend yeah?" she tried to seem like she was shy, something that didn't need much effort to pull it off. She bobbed a curtsy, flashed an embaressed but disarming smile and entered the shop, quickly grabbing supplies for a long desert journey towards the coast. Her blood froze as she saw a wanted poster of her female alias next to her male, albeit with a lower bounty. She didn't make eye contact as she paid the store keeper and exited. If she see's that, I'ma hafve to draw....and that ain't gonna be good...

It hadn't hit Diane that the girl on the wanted poster in the general store was the same girl she had just spoken to. It had dawned on her the second time she spotted the wanted poster near the sheriff's bulletin board at the jailhouse. She paused, the word 'dumbass' hitting her real hard. That girl as none other than Nora Quick, Thorn Quick's sister. If she was here, she would know where Thorn would be! Immediately she pulled out her pistols and ran her way towards the general store, busting in. "Hold it right there, Nora!"
The storekeeper rose his hands, thinking that he was being robbed. "Please don't shoot!"
Diane lowered her gun, stepping out of the store and kicking at the dirt. "Dammit! I just missed her!" But this didn't stop her. From there, Diane had swept through the entire town, just to find this girl.

Nora "THORN" Quick Nora heard the commotion behind her as the Diane steam rolled into the general store guns blazing. "...and that ladies and gentlemen is my que to vanish....." Nora/Thorn did just that. Ducking down a side street she was back outside the town in a matter of seconds. Her new supplies were redistrubuted among her old as she changed quickly back into the more practical gear of Thorn. Jumping between the two aliases was becomming second nature to her. But how long is it before I actually become Thorn....not long I'm guessing.
The slender framed youth decided that she better take advantage of the river being near and clean one last time before pushing out into the desert. Filling up the two large canteens, Thron lent into the river and scrubbed the makeup off her face. "Screw it...I'm gonna go for a swim...."
Setting her supplies on the river bank a ways down from where she had been camping, the accidentle outlaw stripped to her undergarments and threw herself into the slower moving water to the side of the rapids. She enjoyed the sensation of the water running over her skin and refresing her, washing away all the sweat from earlier. That girl...she's determind. If anybodies gonna get me.....its gonna be her..... Thorn shivered at the though.
She swam for a good half an hour before exiting the water. She dried off and pulled her travel clothes on, checking to see that her chest binding was still tight. She froze as she heard an angry clamor from the direction of town and redoubled her efforts to dress quickly. A rustle in the bushes caused the girl to jump. "Who's there?" she'd just managed to strap on her doubble holster and draw her guns pointing them at the bushes. Out crawled a startled looking animal, she wasn't too sure what it was, but it looked to be like a stray dog. She lowered her guns and turned to scoop up her gear, shouldering her bags and preparing to move out.

She questioned several people, looked into every nook and cranny. Hell, the bounty hunter punched a few men who refused to help out. For some reason, all the bounties on the bulletin board right now were of no interest to her. Her focus was on Thorn, and his sister. They were the ones she was after. She didn't know why, but she wanted to find them. Bad.
Finding no evidence of them being in town, Diane began her search outside of Black Bull, even buying a horse to make the search even faster. Eventually she found herself to take a break along the Gabriel River, refilling her canteen.
"Dammit... Still no sign of those two... For all I know, they might already be on the road to the next town... Now I'll never find 'em..." She grumbled, taking a sip of water. She walked along the river when she had spotted a campfire that had been put out. By the looks of it, it had been put out not too long ago. This was it. This may be where they had camped out. Given another sight of hope, Diane hopped onto her horse, and was again at a frenzy, looking for her bounties.

In her haste to go for a swim, Thorn had forgotten to scatter the ashes of her campfire and hide her tracks. She was kicking herself. If Diane was any sort of a tracker, she'd just given 'The Gambling Vixen' the best tip-off of her direction of travel she could have. Shi....what's wrong with me....I keep making mistakes....this isn't like me at all!!! Thorn heard foot falls behind her and turned to look. It was the dog creature. Following her. Thorn liked animals, but having one follow her across a desert was not going to be an option. Plus it added to her chances of being followed."Shoo...go on, get outa here you rascle!" she shooed the animal. It looked at her as if she were mad.
Her worries about the dog vanished as soon as she heard the hoof-falls of the horse. It was fairly close. Dammit....I bet that's her.... Dropping low she doubbled back to see that in fact, it was Diane. Swallowing she contemplated nicking off with the horse. Before she could make a move the girl had mounted her horse and began to head down river. Nora jumped up and began to sprint back to the spot where she had left her gear.
She had a plan. And it involved letting Diane catch her. If Diane wanted the bounty she had to take Nora/Thorn to coast city - alive if she wanted full bounty. She'd play nice untill the coast and then escape. She was confident she could do it. She steped out onto the river bank just as she heard the horse come around a corner. She paused giving Diane a chance to see her before sprinting off along the bank. If she starts shooting, I'm going to have to return fire...but if not, I'll just lead her along untill she ropes me....

Quick to spot, Diane hopped onto her horse and chased after Nora. "Hey, you! Get your sorry a** back here!" Urging her horse on to get her, she pulled out a lasso and began her pursuit, making sure she had her rope ready. "You're going to get it for runnin' away from me for this long!" She yelled as she threw her lasso at Nora. "I'll hogtie you up so fast that they'll call you 'Slow' instead of 'Quick!'"

As she sprinted away, Thorn smiled, she knew the Bounty Hunter had taken the bait. She braced herself for the tightening of the rope and the inevitable fall she was going to have to take. If she were to get injured the whole plan was going to fail. "Never figured you for the sadistic type...and I dare say your banter needs work....'s not like I 'aven't 'eard the 'ole Quick ta Slow line before!" she yelled over her shoulder. She could feel the horse getting closer.

Being called sadistic did cause a small blush from Diane, embarrassed to be considered that kind of person, and even more embarrassed to be cheesy enough to use that line. "H-hush you! You're mine now, and to make sure that you don't escape, I'm going to take you to The Coast myself!" She grinned. She felt that with this accomplishment, she could handle taking her to The Coast herself. "Now let's go you!"

The rope tightened and the accidental outlaw tumbled. She managed to tuck her self into a rolland fliped over backwards as the horse slammed on the breaks at the bidding of its master. Arms bound, Thron couldnt move to stand up. "Was that a stutter pretty lady?" Thorn croaked out, slowly regaining her breath. "If yer gonna take me to the coast.....you're gonna have to get me to ma feet....."

She huffed, "Yeah, yeah. Or I could easily hogtie you and just have you enjoy the ride on the back of the horse... On your stomach." She smirked, but she decided to be a bit nicer. She pulled her up to her feet and tied her hands behind her back, making sure it wasn't too tight to cause burns, but enough to keep her from breaking free. "Now, I'm going to take you back, whether you like it or not." She smirked, pushing her a little to make her walk. "Now, cmon. Walk. We ain't gettin' to The Coast if you stand around."

Hauled to her feet, Thorn noticed the small kindness that Diane spared her, she was glad the ropes weren't too tight. Had they been, it may have made it difficult for her to escape later on. She stumbled slightly as Diane pushed her, but steadied herself turned and flashed a winning smile in the girls direction."Ok, ok, ya got me fair 'n square...but again wif the hog-tie-n, you must be a sadist.....tying up a strappin' young lad like me'self eh beautiful" Thorn taunted.
She had noted the smirk on Diane's face and decided to throw a spanner in the works - something that might slow them down, but keep her entertained none the less. "Ma sister ain't never gonna let me live this down ya know. She an I decided we should split up ya see...a race to the coast....who ever gets there first wins...." a twinkle was in Thorns eye. She had no idea as to wether or not Diane had figured her true identity yet, but it was only a matter of time.

"Oh ho, a race, eh? Well, your sister better be ready to get caught too. I'm gonna get you both before I reach The Coast. Diane was becoming a little too overconfident about this, but why wouldn't she? She caught a large bounty, one of the highest bounties she has ever seen. And with it, she could have the best of things and can gamble as much as she wanted.
"You and that cute lil' sis of yours are going to get turned in, and I'll be rolling in gala." She spoke as she rode her horse, rope tied to the outlaws bound wrists. "I'll be eatin the top food, and sleep in a comfy bed for once." She smiled at the thought, and continued to let her mind wander until dark.
As the sun set, Diane had begun her campfire, tying her horse down and setting up a small place for her to comfortably rest on the desert floor. She sat down on her makeshift bed and pulled out some rations from her bag. After eating her share, she offered the rest to the outlaw. "Here, Quick. If ya starve, the bounty ain't gonna be that great."

Thorn smirked, ducking her head to hide it. The girl had taken the bait. Diane wanted the bounty bad enough to go on a wild goose chase. She seemed to only care about gala - but Nora couldn't blame her, she'd been brought up comfortably -ish, but Diane seemed to be one of the many children left to fend for themselves.
Thorn was silent untill they stoped. Once the girl had made her campsite "Ma poor cute sister," she made sure to emphasise the word cute, just to rile the bounty hunter some, "she aint done nothing wrong 'cept keep me going. And I ma self am completly innocent. I was framed..not that I expect you to belive that..you prolly just care bout the bounty anyways..." She silently reguarded the rations as the bounty hunter explained her reasoning for feeding Thorn - reasoning that backed up Thornes earlier statement. "I can't feed ma'self, yer gonna have ta either untie me or feed me ya self.....pretty lady....." she couldnt resist passing the last two words, and acompaning them with a flirty wink.
