Play with her hair she did. Once he seemed occupied she continued to do so, completely forgetting that they had made quite a bit of a mess. The smaller girl zoned out despite her best intentions on remaining focused; too much excitement in a short amount of time...she would definitely be sleeping well tonight! Very, very well.
"Ah!" It wasn't until he spoke did she snap back into reality, blinking rapidly to look up at him, almost baffled. "Umm...Wasn't that what you wanted...?" She questioned softly, biting the inside of her lip before adding, in a much smaller voice. "Goggles?" Well, since he was asking and looking at her, there had to have been something else.
"M-maybe we could keep looking!" She suggested, though it came out less as a suggestion and more like a definite thing they would be doing. Well...maybe there was somewhere else she could show him here! "Or...or maybe there's something else you're interested in?"

Lucien was sure there had been something goggle related he wanted to check out, but the store seemed to have been disappointing him. At this point, and after all the chaos that had ensued here, he was willing to go somewhere else. There was still a lot of things he didn't see yet and this store was starting to get boring.
"Why don't you pick a place and I'll follow you," he suggested.
With no control of where the situation went, it was sure to be entertaining. Right? Of course, leaving the choice of where to go up to a ghoul might not always be the best of ideas, but Lucien was willing to see where it went. After all, she had already said she couldn't wear much for clothes so who knew what they could find and anything they did would surely be new to him.

Pick a place?
But...but she didn't do or have anything interesting! A mild look of dismay crossed her face, but she did get the idea - it was time to get out of this store, definitely. Especially before someone noticed the mess. Her disgruntled look fell and instead she bit the tip of her finger in thought, the bruised looking thing caught between purely skeletal teeth, and she turned around however awkwardly to start wandering out of the store. Somehow, throughout everything, the bag from the pet place remained around her wrist.
"I like books and trees." She confided in the boil, as always looking everywhere but at him; in this case, she was looking at the stores as they passed by her shuffling way. But yes. Trees. Flowers were nice, and plants were great, but she liked trees. "I'm not smart enough to do exciting things." Rita murmured softly, her honesty coupled with a disappointing sigh. She was very proud of where she was currently - it took her a lot of work to get this far, but she wanted to do better, and more. She knew she could do better...if it wasn't for this rotting brain!
"...OH." Amrita called out suddenly, stopped pretty abruptly to point at the window display of a store, one that announced having 'Dungeons and Humans' merchandise...and a bunch of other pretty nerdy games. Words escaped her for the moment, but...Dungeons and Humans!

Lucien was nodding and following Amrita, vaguely looking around the maul as they finally left the store. He found himself looking over his shoulder as he did, noticing a store employee finally finding the mess they had made and freaking out at the criminal who could not be found -- Lucien just grinned, walking out of sight behind Amrita.
"I like trees," he said in reply to her. "I used to stare at them all day when I was up in the clouds... there wasn't much else to look at..." His voice trailed off because he noticed Amrita had stopped, and was staring at something in a window? What was she looking at? Lucien found himself pulling up beside her and tilting his head a little.
"What's this?" He asked, looking at the sign in the display window.

Amrita didn't notice the employee's little freakout - there was a new subject to move on to, and for all intents and purposes she even forgot that they had even made a mess! Well, that Lucien had made a mess. She was innocent of it, outside of putting him into the headspin that made him fall.
"Up in the clouds?" She repeated, mildly confused. Why would he be in the clouds? Oh well, another matter, for later! The sign had been noticed and pointed at, and after a shy glance up at Lucien, the smaller girl shuffled closer to the store and the display, peering inside but not stepping foot in.
"I signed up for this club-game-thing at school!" She chirped out fairly happily, unaware at how nerdy the game itself actually was. "I haven't heard yet, but it looks fun!" Nodding, she played with the frayed end of her 'sleeve', not wanting to go in unless he was interested...but she really, really did want to go in.

"Yes, up in the clouds," he reaffirmed with the other.
Lucien was not familiar with any sort of table game and had never heard of the club at school. He was only familiar with the athletic clubs such as Track and Field and Freakuent Flyers, which he usually only ever found out about due to his accidental wandering and good timing. He was interested in why she seemed so excited though, looking at her stare into the shop. It must be interesting if she seemed so excited.
"I've never heard of it, perhaps we should go in?"

"If you're bored we can leave again!" Was Amrita's way of saying 'yes' to his half-question. She was about to wander in when she realized that her arm was still up and bent against her from biting her finger, and with an innocent hum she reached up and grabbed her wrist, forcing it down with a loud crack.
Too much excitement, her body was getting tired.
...
Yeah, she'd be fine!
Looking pretty eager she wandered into the store, following the signs to the D&H Display. "It's a game, tabletop...with numbers and stuff." She explained lamely, picking up a guidebook and pushing through it. "Like...going on adventures! Or...umm...pretending...to." She tapered off, shaking her head a little to let her hair cover her face. "Because it's a game." She clarified lamely.

He nodded to her, mildly curious about the crack he heard but shrugged it off and followed her inside of the store. He looked around a little but he mostly watched her as he followed behind her as she traveled through the store. He was listening to her intently as she looked around excited and explained about the game she was so excited about. Going on adventures?
"Does that mean we're playing right now?" He questioned. They were going on adventures right now! "Is this a game?"

She stopped looking through the book - one that had all sorts of humans listed with special information and statistics (she never did like that 'Coroner' monster...) - when she heard his question. Blinking, she turned her head to look at him...and just stared. Complete with a 'doe in the headlights' expression. Playing? Game? Were they...What? Was he asking if they weren't really real, if they were just some game that someone else was playing?!
You could practically hear the breaking her brain was doing, and her wide-eyed stare lowered into something hopelessly painfully baffled.
"Umm..." She sputtered out, but less because she wanted to and more because it was habit now. "I...I don't..." Ohgod she couldn't answer him! The words wouldn't come to her, so she just stared, mentally trying to put the pieces of her brain back together while metaphorical smoke came out her ears.

Lucien wasn't sure what was wrong with her but she seemed to be like a statue, staring blankly at him barely able to mutter a word. Was it something he said? Or something she had read in that book she had in her hands? All he knew was that he didn't get the answer to his question and that was never good! He heard 'I don't' but he wasn't sure if she meant they weren't playing the game right now or not.
"Amrita?" He questioned. "You don't what?"

Amrita - yes that was her name! Her confused daze broke for a moment when she registered that he was talking to her. But...gah, she didn't know! Blinking, she stiffly turned her gaze away from him to look down at the book in her bruised, reversed hands.
"...Know?" She finished, very belatedly. She didn't know! But... "Um...I...I don't think this is a game." The book was closed and put back on the pile, stepping back a bit to look at her heels, and more specifically the floor below her. "I...I don't see a t-table." The poor girl was speaking considerably slower than she had been, and after a moment she reached up to rub her eye with her knuckles and the back of her hand.
"It's a scroll-and-penstrictor game...?"

He was slightly disappointed to hear that what they were doing, adventuring around the maul, was not the same game that excited her into this store. It seemed the game she liked involved a table and penstrictors? Oh, the things Lucien imagined, and a few them were not all that friendly to the poor penstrictors or the table for that fact.
So it wasn't a game? Then what was their adventure?
"What kind of adventure are we on now then?" He had to inquire. He had to know just what sort of adventure this was and if she liked it as much as she did this other game. "Do you enjoy this as much as you enjoy this table penstrictor game? Would you play this game with me?" He paused, "And would the penstrictors or tables be injured in the process of playing this game? Would they bite me for making them play the game?"
So many questions, so little words able to come out at once.

"W-we are...um." The doe-in-the-headlights stare came right back, and she was truly thinking as hard as she could. "We are...a-adventuring the mall?" She said slowly, hesitantly, as if hoping he would give her clues as to what he wanted to hear. "Um. I don't know!" The little whine to her voice was clear; she didn't know what kind of adventure this was! She wasn't creative enough to come up with something fun either; had he not broken her repeatedly thus far, she might have been able to come up with 'The Great Goggle Adventure', at least. But as it stood, nothing was coming to her.
Then, of course, came the barrage of questions.
"I think I am having fun and I haven't played dungeons and humans yet I just heard about it so I don't know if I'll like it the same but I'd really like to play with you but I'm not good enough to make up my own so you'll have to join the club with me and I don't really think anyone will be hurt...maybe." Amrita sputtered out all at once, in one breath. Of course, she had to stop and inhale DEEPLY after. She couldn't help the little sniffle once a peculiar pain registered in her head.
"M-My...My brain hurts..." The poor little girl whimpered out, rubbing her eye again.

He didn't mean to break her brain, nor did he know he did. He just wondered a little about the expression on her face that continued to come back time after time. Was this normal? He wondered that as he listened to her speak and after listening intently to her answer all his questions, Lucien nodded and made a small "oh" noise every once and awhile. He wasn't sure he wanted to endanger the life of the poor penstrictor playing the game though, but he would consider playing if he was asked. Then he heard her again, and he knew her brain broke.
"It hurts?" He asked before putting his hand on her head and patting it. "Better?"

Like when they had just met, Rita flinched and squeezed her eye shut when he reached out to her, stiffening for just a moment...and then, like before, she relaxed. Her eye peeked open, looking from under a thin layer of hair and around his arm at him, a small blush on her cheeks. Whether the blush was from the headpat or general exhaustion was up in the air, but the fact of the matter was she was blushing, yet again.
But yes, the headpat did make everything better. Her head still hurt, but she felt much better...because he was so nice to worry about her like that.
"Y-yes." Rita said quietly, chewing on the inside of her cheek. "...Th-thank you."
