Brightly smiled and nodded at the two as they nosed the log the rest of the way into the clearing. "Okay... What do turtles really like eating, Myth?" he asked his familiar. She seemed thoughtful, and flapped away, intent on getting just the right bait.
"We need something to lure the thing, so we can tip him."
((OOC: What do these turtles eat? Meat? Plants? Both?))

Poison grinned cheerily around her leaf of moss. "Pardon me! Whoops!" She leaped over the seed pods--if they were at the front, they must devious! Fun!--and stepped inside the cave. She set about covering the walls in a thin screen of moss. When Nettle tried to scrape off the spiderwebs, the moss would tangle in his coat and expand, making him a walking flowerfluff!

Dew Drop Sun was distracted from her goods for a moment by a very loud Kimeti at the opposite side of the circle -- Laughing Shadows was apparently her name. The creamy doe nodded and smiled at the darker doe, calling to respond, "Hello, Laughing Shadows! I am Dew Drop Sun. Nice to meet you."
Her attention was re-directed yet again as one of the twins approached her pile, examining the leaves that she brought. When he mentioned the turtle, her eyes widened in realization before she grinned, amusement in her eyes. "I didn't even think of that!" Of course, she felt a little badly about the possibility of feeding them to the turtle -- after all, the poor thing hadn't done anything (other than eat and eat and eat), and they were here to prank Nettle. But, the turtle was a large part of Nettle's general life, and therefore, a small sacrifice had to be made. Besides, it was just dizziness. It should wear off after a small span of time.
The other twin was on higher ground, now, calling attention to everyone below him and suggesting that there were enough of them there that perhaps they should get started with setting up their pranks. Dew nodded and looked down at her supplies. She wasn't exactly sure yet what to do with the sour berries -- she could figure that out in a bit, perhaps see if anyone else had something else for eating that they could place somewhere. She turned her initial attention, then, to her rotten fish, which she couldn't wait to get rid of as it was. She looked over towards the cave, contemplating; she didn't want to put it in the cave, necessarily, as that might be too easy to find. Perhaps, instead, around the side of the cave where it might be harder to find?
Dew Drop Sun picked up the fish by its tail, a leaf still keeping the rotting skin from actually touching her mouth. She moved over to the cave, breathing as little as possible, and circled about it once, looking for some good placement. As she came about the front of the cave again, careful to avoid other set traps, she determined that an area on the right of the cave, amongst some bushes and rocks, could be the best place. Picking her way around the side of the cave again, Dew Drop Sun dropped the rotting fish behind a small pile of rocks, toppling a medium-sized rock over it so that it was fair well covered from sight, though the stench was still quite evident.
Nodding at herself, she turned back towards the group where the rest of her supplies were. Finding her thorns, she glanced over at Lower Down, who she'd heard commenting on some beetles he'd brought. She approached him and introduced herself, "Hello, I heard you may have some beetles for Nettle's nesting grass? I'm Dew Drop Sun -- I brought some large thorns that I thought I might place there myself. Care to join me in setting such things?"

Path thought long and hard about what kind of trick to pull. It was difficult because she didn't have a familiar with nimble fingers that could help her with things. Though she had a few ideas she went about one of them first. She ventured into Nettle's cave. Path went about dragging whatever belongs he had in there out. This was she could hide them around the area or re-arrange them in different spots in the cave.

Nightshade crouched down in the darker shadow of a bush, where she'd be more likely to blend in with her dark coat. The mongeese were chittering away, excited that they could be a part of the prank she'd cooked up. Off the trail that Nettle might be coming back on, there were the bowls with the bright colored clay in them. Sniggering, she tired to imagine what Nettle would look like all colorful. Giggling a little, she nodded to the mongeese, letting them know she was ready.
Taking a glance at the twins, she saw them conversing. Finishing one another's sentences, no doubt. Smiling, she wondered how they'd ended up like that. The only twins she'd ever seen before were boy and girl twins. They must be a special case. Sighing, she decided to lie in wait.

Blue Streak nosed at the moss Poison Gloam had smeared on the walls. When she sneezed, she laughed. "Hey, you think maybe we could smear some berry juice or crushed flowers on this and make him and his dark little cave a little more colorful?" she chirped at Poison Gloam, dancing in a little circle outside the cave.

The pranks were amusing. Smoke merely sat and watched, at least for the first little bit. She was, at least, entertaining herself quite a bit.
Though those stink-berries really did smell quite awful. Smoke wrinkled her nose, standing up and moseying around the small cave, eyeing the Kimeti around her. The twins were quite obviously have a grand time; they kept prancing around, finishing each others sentences.
Yawning a bit, Smoke stretched out her legs and padded around the inside of a cave for a bit, the bones around her neck making quiet clicking noises. Twisting her head, she pulled them off and dumped them onto a pile on the floor. Next came the berries, and finally the vines. Pulling one end a vine between her teeth, Smoke dragged it across the dusty cave floor, right at the entrance. Then she set the berries in a line a few inches both in front and in back. She shuffled a few autumn-touched leaves over her work, making it seem like it had always belonged there. Nettle would walk into his cave, step on the thorns of the vines, then yowl and hop either backwards or forwards, landing on the berries.
He'd leave berry colored footsteps for days.

The twins patrol as people work on their tricks, pausing to grin and share jokes as they pass each other, muttered comments back and forth. Eventually, the short haired one grabs some of the sticky clay to play a little prank of his own: flowers stuck over the mouth of the cave with the stuff, so as the heat of day hits, the stuff will dry and crumble, leaving gifts tumbling around Nettle's head.
The other, the long-haired one, prowls the crowd and investigates what everyone else is working on. He grins at the idea of a turtle being flipped and painted, but his eyes flick to Crunch -- who is not likely to just sit back and take that, but instead will kick his legs furiously and snap after tails. Brightly will be especially in danger, since his tail is just so big.
The stink-pods get another grimace -- a mean trick, but a good one, and his eyes are sparkling as he leaves Sparrow to it, poking his head quickly into the cave to watch Silvertongue before continuing his rounds.
Short hair is done now and he grins at his brother as he emerges, flicking a look upward. They both admire the work, and long-hair eases in to add to it some; he adds vines that will tangle and make a mess around Nettle's head and tail, will catch and block the cave's entrance.
They turn to examine the rest of the scene before them: raising an eyebrow at the pretty plants, the moss, grimacing at the rotten fish, and stooping to help Smoke with her thorny vine.
"Some of this is a bit…"
"Cruel? Well, yeah, but --"
"Not much chance he'll miss all of them, true."
They ponder the mess, and paw thoughtfully at the ground, then turn out to the crew around them.
"HOY!" They say it together, and then grin at each other: Unplanned.
"If you're done, move to the edges."
"Uh huh. Makes it nice and clear."
"Yeah. If you got more, do it, and then get moving!"

Lower Down keeps a hoof on the tether for his beetles, and looks to his lynx, Higher Up to get a nice, small, but solid, branch for him to use as a sort of anchor for the beetles. He needs it if he wants to keep them in place for his prank. Once his familiar brings him the stick, the buck picks up the tether in his teeth, careful not to let them pinch him, and moves them into the cave. Nosing around in Nettle's bedding, Lower Down drives the stick into the earth with a few taps of his hoof, and ties the end of the tether to it. Now the beetles won't wander anywhere, and will be stuck in Nettle's bedding. That done, he grabs his rotten bird's eggs and walks back into the cave. For the most part it's quite smooth, but there are lots of little nooks and crannies, and higher holes or shelf-like erosions in the clay and stone. He finds a hole that is somewhat high, and also a bit deep, and pushes the nest of rotten eggs as deep as he can before dropping back down and looking about. The smell will only get worse, and it may take awhile for Nettle to find the offender. And, even if not, it will prove somewhat difficult to remove-- pushed as far back as it is.Finally finished setting up his pranks Lower Down moves to the edge of the group, away from the cave.

Sparrowhawk, who had been observing the other practical jokes played (and was considering which ones to add to her own repertoire), jerked her head up and then grinned brightly as the twins called everyone away from the mouth of the cave. Even though some of the tricks to be played on poor Nettle were admittedly a little mean, the old goat deserved it! That's what he got for being hostile... and lonely. Old one needed a few friends, in her estimation. She spent a few minutes watching the buck and his lynx tether a herd of beetles into the earth. Having climbed into old abandoned trees and logs as a filly, she recognized those beetles; they were not going to be happy. And their bite hurt. "That was a nice one," she muttered out of the side of her mouth, careful not to attract the twins' attention. "Though I'm glad it's Nettle and not me!" She nodded appreciatively to the buck and stood outside of the mouth of the cave, towards the center of the group, ears pricked forward. It took a significant effort of will to avoid dancing in place and generally acting like a filly -- the twins were cute.

Nightshade saw that the others were finishing setting up. Seeing that everything for her own prank was set up and ready to go, she signaled for the mongeese and for Moonshine to stay where they were, and not to make a lot of noise. Slinking over to where the other kimeti were, she dropped back and sniggered a little at all the traps set. If one didn't know what had happened, they probably wouldn't have noticed anything different with Nettle's cave. This was going to be good.

Dodging looked at the turtle they were going to flip. It didn't look like it would be easy, but maybe...She looked over to Fallen and back to Brightly. "It will be a good prank, but he might fight us some." The little owlcat sensing what the doe might be thinking, grabs a few vines and begins to make loops with them. This way if they do get the turtle to move, he will step in the loops. The loops will tighten, just enough to hold him in place when he gets flipped, so that the kimeti can paint its underside.
Dodging watched the rest as one of the twins walked around. Well it might not be the best prank, but it was something to do for some fun. She waited for Brightly's crane to come back with the bait and looked to see if she could spot any of the other pranks. There was something she wanted to do and it was outside of Nettle's cave.
"Fallen, I want you to find me some spiderwebs, with the spider, that are already in between easily carried branches." The owlcat took off to find them, while Dodging looked at all the places to hang them from with well placed vines.

Myth came back with a number of succulent-looking water plants, and Brightly practically pranced with excitement to the pile of things. Sniff at some of the plants delicately, take a breath and hold it as he picked up the dizzy plants. Place them in the leaves, and nudge them so they hid the plants. He carefully picked that up in his mouth and deposited it right near the turtle, waiting for it to snap up most of the stuff, and letting the vines be pulled taut before he nosed the log over. He stepped on the one side of the crooked log with the doe's help and flipped the turtle over, before looking at the flailing result.
"Looks like he's not very happy about this all..." He curled his tail around his leg as he went to the clayberry mixtures, and began spreading brightly-colored smears on the lower half of the turtle's shell. After all, a vine-weakened kick hurt less than a snapping turtle's impressive jaws, and he would not enjoy losing a mouthful of fur, and possibly skin, to the nasty old thing. He danced away skittishly a number of times as he trailed and dribbled bright, rainbow designs along it's belly, and then let the stuff dry most of the way before he and Dodging flipped it back over. That done with, he moved the log again and flipped the thing back to rights, dragging the log over into the bushes where it wouldn't be easily found. After that, he looked around the cave, making an amused noise as he caught sight of a number of musty old cobwebs in difficult-to-reach places.
"Can't leave those old things undecorated... they're so hard to reach, we might as well help the old buck get something up there." As if on queue, Mythic picked up a number of the brightly-colored feather-and-fur tangles and carefully dropped them near the webs, so they would get tangled in the threads and let loose fur hold bright feathers. As time went by, they'd shed rainbow-hued fur, fringes, and feathers to the floor - and they would float down, increasing the radius of the falling rainbows.
He looked around at the sadly-reduced pile of things, and looked at the clays again. Can't leave without a good doodle. He poked a hoof in the mixture and dragged it along one of the cave walls, making a simple sun with long rays extending from it. a number of colored swipes above in an arch. A rainbow. He stuck feathers and fur to it with his other hoof and stepped back to admire his handiwork. That done, he picked up the turtle shell in his mouth, and carefully walked on three hooves out of the cave, until he found a good rock to wipe away the fur-feather-and-clay mixture off.

Fallen came back with a couple of branches and waited for Dodging to kneel down, so she could clamber up and start working. Dodging nudged the owlcat up onto her back and began walking around to some of the trees. With quick little paws, Fallen started to wrap the thinner vines on the branches. The doe stopped near a tree branch and her companion tied the branches with spiderwebs onto them. They dangled just right that it looked like regular branches and you didn't see the webs. They were also low enough that an kimeti would get tangled into the webs before getting too close to the cave.
She stepped away from their work and shrugged. It was the best they could do with what they had. The turtle painted and snapping at them still. Finished, they moved over to the edge with the rest who were waiting to see the end results.
