Every Rose...Sakura went in the book shop. She walked to the cashier. She smiled.

~Sugar~ Alice walked in silently. She then looked up to see a girl from her school. A soft smile played her lips as she stood behind Sakura. " Thrid and fourth row from the back on the left," She informed the young woman kindly. The petite young woman then went to the back to see what needed to be organized and put up. A new shipment came in apparently. The young vampiress then got the boxes and went to work in the literature section.

Ray's eyes lit up. Now was the best opportunity to ask. "You know, We could always go back to my room and ... "Study". I've always been curious about anatomy. YOUR anatomy to be specific..." He began. hopefully his sweet talk would work as well as it normally did.

She then went to the cashier and set down the books.

Rae entered the shop, relaxed - she was always more at home with books than people. She walked up to the counter, hoping for a bit of enlightenment as to what she was meant to do in here.

The bell on the door making a pleasant soft ringed as Maiara limped into the bookstore to search for a new dictionary; hers had disappeared during the battle with the mysterious creatures. Luckily, her side was healing, even if at an annoyingly slow rate. It was deep, and with the poison, it was taking awhile to recover. The poison too, had left an effect on her, although not permanent. Her limbs still felt weak, and the joints ached sometimes; the spirit warrior felt frustratingly handicapped and she wasn't going to be fighting anybody soon. The scents of the books and papers was overwhelming, and a sharp contrast to the outside world she was accustomed to. It wasn't unpleasant though, and Maiara quickly adjusted to it as she meandered through the store, exploring each nook and cranny for the dictionary as well as interesting looking books she would like to be able to read one day. Her English was getting better by the day, and maybe it was good enough to finally read a non-childish novel or biography. She could understand so many more cultures that way, and it could be interesting to see what others have written on the mystical creatures she has encountered in the school.
Perhaps Maiara could find one on kitsunes, although, she wasn't too sure if she would want to read it, as the purple fox could only come to mind as well as his many mates. Now a frown on her face, she felt her stomach being twisted and pulled in many directions as she thought about what she needed to say to Haikimaru, but he was difficult to find these days. Probably picking up more lovers... She thought bitterly as she stepped down too harshly, sending pain shooting up from her leg, causing her to clench her teeth.

 Haikimaru figured that it was time that he learned more about the Inuit culture. He wanted to know what he should get Maiara as a present because she never really seemed happy with him. He looked up and down looking for a good book. Something that wasn't too old because it may not have the correct facts anymore. He kind of felt like a bad boyfriend who for the first time couldn't please his lover. His hand made its way to a book before backing away thinking that it just wasn't the right one.

In the quiet book store Maiara had sat between the stacks, looking at the pictures in a few of the books. The sound of another person's steps startled her slightly, but the scent that filled her nose made her face lose some of its color. What's he doing here? He can't see me like this! Even though Maiara was going to confront the purple fox about their relationship, she still didn't want him to see her weak like this, but perhaps she could hide it. She rose very slowly from her cross legged position, cursing silently the whole time through clenched teeth before taking a deep breath and coming over to the aisle Haikimaru was in. "What you look at?" She asked him quietly, now by his side as she mulled over how she was going to approach this. It would be difficult for her, as the spirit warrior still felt she had strong affections for him, but it wouldn't work for her if it continued this way. Their cultures too, were very different, and Maiara, if they ever married, was afraid she would not be able, nor really want, to be a proper Japanese wife.

Haikimaru found the book that looked just right to get. His hands even started to reach up for it before he heard Maiara's voice. The fox jumped back and put his hand to the side. He didn't want her to see what book he was getting the Fox was too prideful to admit that he needed some advice. He turned towards his girlfriend and gave a nervous smile. "I was just trying to find a book to read. There isn't anything interesting over here." He commented and slightly turned as if he was looking at the shelf behind him. It was books about politics. There was no way that he would read up on that.
