Chana made a face at him. "I didn't mean to eat it. It's like...like I accidentally swallowed my gum!"
Yes...she was overreacting a little bit. And she was a bit surprised and relieved to hear that Stewart's diet wasn't...the same as before. But, still! She hadn't meant to swallow the thing!

Stewart laughed and said with a hint of sarcasm "Oh I'm sure you did!". As he finshed saying that he reached down grabbed some grass and started chewing on it.

Chana raised an eyebrow at the choice of food. "Now that I'm not eating. Twigs are one thing, there's good vitamins in them. But there's nothing in grass!"
The way she frowned at the spikey green stuff, though, made it look as if she was dying to try it.

"Good vitamins in twigs? Now that's one thing my mother never told me! As for grass, I don't think most hooved mammels on this planet eat it just for kicks!" He said while chewing on his grass.

"What...you never took biology in school?" Chana asked sourly. She was really hungry...and didn't feel like looking for another twig. Of course a bagel with cream cheese would have hit the spot...stupid island.
"Well, as you may have noticed, only one of us is developing hooves," she retorted sourly. Hmm...what about the bark on the tree roots next to her? Almost uncaringly she started trying to peel off a section of bark.

"Homeschooled?" Chana pursed her lips thougtfully and reflected. "That's probably part of why you're having such major girl problems right now."
The bark came off with only a bit of effort and she slipped it into her mouth. Mmmm. Now that was tasty.

Just don't think about what's in your mouth...you're getting food. End of story.

"True, but my mother always hated public schools... Espically they're science classes. And something called Sex Ed. I'm still not too sure of what they teach in that class though" He finshed looking slightly confused.

Chana was chewing rather contentedly when Stewart mentioned Sex Ed. And she started choking and coughing and waving off any aid the priest might offer.
A few minutes later she finally calmed down enough to talk. "I'm not sure whether you should be offended or relieved. But it is a shame that you've lived such a sheltered life," she said at last.

Stewart looked worried as Chana began to cough, was is something he said? It didn't look like she she needed his help, but he didn't want her to die on him! Luckily she soon got better, but what she said really made him think "You know that's sadly true." He said looking slightly sad "But I've never known a life outside of the church. And somethimes ignorance can be bliss"

Chana looked, for a moment, as if she might burst out laughing. Still, she found the willpower to stay (mostly) calm. If her voice was a bit breathy, Stewart probably wouldn't notice.
"Then I say you should remain ignorant until..." she paused, trying to phrase things just right. "Until you decide the time is right." That didn't sound too wrong...
Speaking of wrong...the view was definitely on that side of the coin. "You'd think a priest would wear pajamas," Chana muttered to herself.

Now he was really confused. Just what did she mean by that "I'm sorry... But I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say" He finshed turning an even deeper shade of red with her last comment.

Chana blushed. "Don't worry about it. Really. Though you might think of looking into a loincloth or something..."
She really couldn't think of anything else to say. Just some quote from a book. "When a man's pants are down, his brain is hanging out for all the world to see." Probably not the best thing to bring up at this time...
