Firstly, I just feel the need to ask: Since when were "Artifacts" and "Multicolored" colors? wink
(Now, for the slower ones, I'm getting at the fact that Artifact is a card type, usually defined by lack of color, and multicolored just means multiple colors mixed together.)
WARNING: LONG.
Anyways, my favorite color is blue. It is the best color in the game. It has strong synergy with itself this way and that, and it uses this to its advantage. It can stop your spells, but that's not all. It can turn your spells around. It can steal your spells from you. It can steal your mana, creatures, cards, and just about everything else, too. It can make copies of anyone's stuff from just about anywhere. It allows you to draw cards without a drawback (part of the most powerful thing in the game, known as card advantage). Lastly, it has the single best creature known to Magic: Morphling.
Then, there's the fun aspects! Everybody, mombo combo! Blue can do ANYTHING, and inside combos, it's truly amazing. It can do such simple, boring, and effective combos as Illusions/Donate, or it can do incredibly complex ones I can't even begin to get into!
Well, let's just say this much: I love High Tide almost as much as I love the Urza "free" spells I use with it. My pet deck is a high tide deck, but not an average one. Oh, no. It exploits free mana like no other, while not having a TRULY arbitrarily-long combo, for I don't use Palinchron. It basically draws through the entire deck off of its spells, constantly gaining mana from High Tide and "free" spells, as well as cheap mana artifacts, such as my Lotus Petals, Moxen which I sacrifice after using, and my lone Black Lotus, all the while under the effect of Sapphire Medallions for the extra mana save. Then when I've gone through every card, I'll just use some recycler: Timetwister, Time Spiral (only goes once, obviously), or something else like that. Of course, I'm packing a total of four of those types of spells, so I'm garunteed to be able to throw one back into the deck to re-start it later.
Also, it has two huge engines between those spells and Mind Over Matter and Dream Halls. Negative-cost free spells? Sure! Make tons of mana with spare lands? Of course! And everything gets shuffled right back in once I use the reset buttons, and all the time gaining mana. Of course, it'd be sad if I were to do that and not be able to keep the right spells... So I have Mind's Desire. With all those free spells, it gets huge, letting me select exact which cards I want to keep back after the reset by not using those until after I shuffle it back in. Mind's Desire should've removed itself from the game; as is, I can use it over and over.
When my opponent finally gives, I'll just serve the coup de gras with a Stroke of Genious for circa 1e100,000. If they counter, I go through the counter war; I'm sure not running out of resources any time soon.
Okay, so it's a terrible deck to play against, as it goes off on turn two most of the time, and it's pure solitaire from there. However, it's so much fun to play that I can't help but love it.
However, I can't call it my favorite deck. It never was and never will be legal in any conceivable format, no matter how I slice it. This means I can't play it against anyone in tournaments, and since they're not being forced to play, the deck doesn't usually see a second game against the same person. Oh, well...
