Alex smiled innocently as her friends glared at her. She burst into a fit of laughter and started to lie. "Yeah. Haven't you learned that from Jr. High?" she asked them. The girls agreed not to trust her again when they ask if someone is single and she rolled her eyes. "One day I'll set one of you up on a really nice date and you'll get married" They all put other elbows on the table and their head in their hands dreamily. One of her friends, Alexis, looked at Alex and said, "If you do set me up on a date some day, make sure he's hunky and capitol c-u-t-e cute!" Alex reminded herself that Alexis was once a cheerleader and let it slide.

"As soon as you order it! Silly" Alex ruffled his hair playfully and pointed to the counter. "You order from up there" she giggled and texted to the now worried Jake that she was out looking for a wedding cake. Jordyn, one of her friends, got a text and looked up at everyone. "I forgot I had Work!" Jordyn exclaimed, standing up from the table. "I'm so sorry, you guys. I'll talk to you later. And Alex, I'll come with you to pick out the dress to make it up to you." She walked out of the door and they all shrugged and went back to talking about whatever.

Alex smiled as one of the friends drooled over Hiroshi. "You do realize that he's taken right?" she rolled her eyes and texted Alex: Is he really?
She texted back no, only because this one had been her friend for a while and she was trustable.

"I bet we're making poor Hiroshi uncomfortable. Let's talk about the news. Did you hear about that horrible fire in the west valley?" Alexis said to Hiroshi. Alex knew right then that she was out of the conversation as she finished, pushing her plate to the edge of the table and smiling like she cared.

"That's terrible" Alexis gasped and frowned. "At least it was so few"
Alex rolled her eyes at the ridiculous conversation about a fire. "We should get going if we want to get anywhere before the cake shops are full of people" she told them, getting up. "So, I'm thinking that we should split up and look in different shops. Send pictures to me of something you think that me and Jake would like"

Alex nodded and sat back down. "Sorry. I'm just...eager" she said, shrugging. She split them into three groups. Alexis with Kayla, Erica with Avery, and herself with Hiroshi.

"First we're going to look at Carlo's bakery. I heard they make really good cakes" Alex started her car and closed the door. "Do you have any ideas?"

"I guess that might not be the best Idea then..." Alex drove towards the bakery and looked at Hiroshi. "But, you know, we are just looking" she looked back ahead of her and stopped at a red light.
